What don't you want?

I need some help with my movie. All I need is your opinions on content in an animated Mario Bros. based movie. Submit some opinions and they might be noted. I don't need to know what you think the movie should be about. I'm still looking for full time helpers though.

This is what I don't want:
-gore, excessive blood ect.
-dead Yoshi's
-Yoshi's not being treated like equals i.e. treated like pets
-Yoshi's not speaking english since they do
-guns
-love affairs
-the idea of clones

Would you guys be okay with these if the above rules applied?:
-swords
-arrows
-blade based weapons
-crying, angry, dramatic stuff
-deaths but with no blood or gore
-detailed game references
-cheap martial arts
-rave techno during fight scenes ^^
-baby Bowser being smarter than he is in the game
-Kameks followers that use magic wands
-scary monster characters
-torture
And several other things I forgot.

I hope you won't care too much about the things I want in the movie. And it's before Mario was born so anything can happen. ANYTHING.

Very minimal torture and though I'm not going to show huge amounts of blood I'm gonna make it obvious when somebody dies.

And yes it's going to be animated, computer animated or drawn I'm still not sure.

All yoshi's being able to speak english (when playing mario party, do you ever hear yoshi say "HI!"? Well, it is just my opinion...)

What I'm looking for:
Suspense,
Creative poses and scenes,
Wide open backrounds and views,
Full of betrayal and trust,
Open ends, leaving place for a sequel IF there will be one,
Letting the good guy get bumped around a few times...

No see, it was a good idea actually to not have a voice for Yoshi like Mario or Peach. It would either suck really bad, or not a lot would like it.

But yes Yoshi's do speak english. In Super Mario World Yoshi talked to Mario and wrote that note at his house. Yoshi's talk in Yoshi's Village in Paper Mario and other places in Paper Mario 2. He also talked on the rooftop in Mario 64.
Me and my fellow fans at the site in my signature below have discussed this in full. Along with most other things to do with Yoshi's. One thing we came up with is that Yoshi's speak english and also speak their own language. With several things refered to as Yoshi, like the smurfs saying "smurf" a lot. Here's a link to the topic.

Too add on there won't be any elemental based charecters.

And nobody will be all super speed impossibly skilled anime like. Like how you see in so many anime shows. He's good but he ain't perfect. He'll get plenty of cuts and bashes rest assured.

Would I be highly ganged up upon if I said I didn't fully endorse the idea of such things happening in a movie largely involving Yoshis? Hahah... This worries me more than anything. I'm amazed I'm the first person to... mention, any of this.

Do realize that if it's content is too offesive, we likely won't allow you to advertise it here upon it's finish... and judging by your description of what's involved, I'm predicting so. I've nothing against you making it, but... I just doubt it's gonna be widely accepted here, hahah. It's nothing against you... I just have some personal issues regarding this sort of thing...

"Minimal violence"? Am I the only one who fails to beleive that based only on the description provided which no doubt hardly encompasses the full-scale array of content actually to be used within the movire?

I'm sorry, but this makes me understand all the more what teh yoshi was talking about, heh... I just can't picture Yoshi (or any number thereof) in such situations, paticularily if it's not of a humorous nature. (Randy Solem has done some awkward things with Yoshi, but it was all in jest.) In any case I think you're just directing this at an extensively wrong group of people.

...Or I'm the only one who cares.





P.S. "Cervical Separation"? I'm not going to ask just how you intend to add that in there.
