Apologies are less important than not doing it again.
Unfortunatly, this method isn't a great way to show apology. Apology is generally considered too narrow to warrant it's own thread, especially if it's over a single or smaller issue. If you must apologize, then Personal Message those who expressed trouble over your actions.
As a suggestion, I wouldn't ever cite a "Snapple cap" as a source for information. Clamp it.
