KMITNB Robot Camp 2005

Yesterday, I went to KMITNB robot camp 2005!
I back home for one day, is today... and will continue to go to the camp. Tomorrow.

This is my first time to the robot camp.

The language I use is logo blocks, just put blocks in place, and it will generate the code.
There are some blocks like on, off, brake, sensor, in, send ir, note, timer, and more more more more...
I quickly understand that language.

I will away for 3 days, and will come back with results!

Forgot to post result for first part (of 4)
Part 1, total 6 points, we got 6, Yay!
I will come back with final results.

It's easy, making hand-controlled robot.
Plug in joystick and just start control, move the robot without touching any obstacles to the finish in 30 seconds!
A kind of fun, it's not as fun as playing YC all the time
Tomorrow, will do tracking robot, will move, and will track the next way when itself when it touch the wall.
Code/Blocks is finished, waiting for test!
Third day, use robot to play games!!
Move robot to pop opponent balloon!
Then, #4, make a line, robot moves along the line

Back!!
I forgot about our collecting score!
The round that will pick best 4 teams, we have automatic matches and manual controlled robot matches.

Automatic matches:
    A racing-stadium like line, we must use sensor to track the line to go through the round, after and halfway is a walls, must use sensor to track out the wall to escape.
Manual-controlled matches:
    There are many blocks, we must use joystick to push blocks, and collect as much blocks to our zone.

For automatic, we got 6 out of 6 in first round, and 6 out of 6 in second round too, total of 12 and we got a top score.
For manual, there are 3 rounds, first 2 rounds, we got 4 out of 4, and last one we got 3.

And, YAY!! We can get to the final round!
Final round, automatic match, is very easy, just use code that we made, and won in the first place for automatic match.
For manual match, the opponent are very strong, and we can't get out of zone, it's hard controlling!

And finally, our team got 2nd place, for opverall score!!
Yay!! Really amazed that how I can did it! This is my first time to robot programming..

I did something like that at space camp. We made a maze and programed a robot to go through it. Some ppl in our group built the robot, others built the maze, and I ;D programed the thing. It's easy if you time how long it take to more 90 degrees since it measures turning in seconds. Then you can find out hold long it takes for 45 degges and 180 degges ect. It's also i good idea to time how long it takes to move an inch or so. That way you don't have to re-program it over and over untill you get the right timing.

Our group did the longest maze. It kinda looped around and the end was the beggining. I set the "repeat" command so it could go around multiple times. Pretty cool.
