Okay.. I live in a place where I have noe electric and i have to use school computers. But the school has banned practically all websites, including deviantART. How wrong is that? I just want to check my mesage box which probably has over 700 messages now..

I think the idea is so you concentrate on your schoolwork more, than messing around on irrelevant webpages...

Yeah, it's the same with our college. They block the internet from us during lesson time, but when you've finished the work, they unblock the internet from the user account, allowing us to have access to it until the lesson is over.
As frog said, it is so you can concentrate on the work and not get side-tracked.

Same solution at a number of workplaces. And that isn't wrong, I think - at least, if I'll be the head of such an establishment, I'll do the same, hehe =P Work people, work!

Move to France:
The whole year is studying for a single test at the end. If you pass, you go to the next grade. You fail, you study a whole 'nother year...
...The teachers don't care if you chat in class as long as it's wisperring, and I don't think they care about computers...your the one that's going to fail.

We have fast Internet access, but the Bess proxy server it's on blocks out a few sites, like PhotoBucket for one, so I'm unable to see most pictures here. HOWEVER! Sites like Wario Comix (not that I need to visit), Fan-Art Central, deviantArt, MFGG, Classic Gaming, the Nintendo site, and plenty others are available. Several guys said there's a way around Bess.

Most games are blocked on our computers. I had a class in the comp lab 1st quater. If they blocked everything we couldn't be able to do our research therefore we would all fail that class....

Quarter? is that like a half of a semester? here our year is split into sixths. Anyway.. I find it funny how, back in the day, they blocked dA (which only includes artistic adult art), but they failed to block furaffinity (which had yiff and junk like that).
