I can name all 7 Koopalings! Let's see here, there's Lawrence (or the traditional Larry for short), Iggy, Lemmy, Morton, Wendy, Roy, and Ludwig. That's all seven. No one can really say who they're mother was or where they came from, but fiction tellers sometimes create her. I'm a fiction teller, but I like to state true characters in my story along with maybe just a few, unseen, unheard of, simply created characters. They first made their appearance in Super Mario Bros. 3, one of the greatest Mario video games. (Without Yoshi. )

Does anyone remember the old Super Mario Bros Movie, from like 1986? I cant remember who starred in it though.
Although Bowser and co were humans in the movie (They were retillian inside, they had scored their new apperances through forms of genetic mutilation of sorts) he did have a wife like character with him, called Lena. Something tells me however that she didnt have any kids to him, though there was an Iggy and Spike in the flick, and those two were related.
**shakes head** Twas a totally twisted movie, though I have it on tape! XD

XD Bowser's kids didn't come onto the scene until Super Mario Bros. 3, correct? That game is ©1990. Was Yoshi in this movie? I checked the movie I have, it's ©1993. Bob Hoskins played Mario, John Leguizamo played Luigi, and Dennis Hopper played the bad guy himself.

Actually, I think the Yoshi in that movie, kinda gave me a little insight into Yoshi's "bad" side. That "side" really inspired my "Golf Course" drawing on my web site. One of the drawings is a direct result of seeing The Lost World: Jurassic Park (remember the scene where the Velociraptor jumps on that one guy?).
Actually, I really like that Yoshi. He's cute, but can really use that tongue to great effect.
(Edit: Spelling)

Getting back to Yoshi's eggs, perhaps that's just one of those unique things about Yoshies. Both sexes can produce eggs. Just how all of the details are worked out, I don't know. Maybe, either the male or the femail can pass on their genetic info to either partner and whoever receives can lay the egg. Or, it could just be that yoshies need eggs for whatever, so males lay them as well, although they could never be fertilized.
Hey! But have you noticed? Yoshi's eggs are directly related to what he eats. It could just be the mechanisms of a shell producing organ that packs away the rapidly processed shy guys or other things.

Wow Yoshiki! That is one interesting fact! I suppose some eggs that the Yoshies make are simply wastes of eaten enemies. I'm not sure. Nintendo didn't quite cover the story behing Yoshi's eggs.

I heard a ver y intresting thing behind yoshis eggs. the "wasted eggs" in genrall are just eggs. Like those you find in you're grocery store or those birds lay with nothing in them. But Yoshi needs an enemy to swallow to make the outer shell hard (or something like that it made sense when i read it like a year ago) And female yoshis can only produce eggs with that of yoshi babys in them. ACK now you are making me think! Darn you!!!

Yoshi's eggs are directly related to what he eats. It could just be the mechanisms of a shell producing organ that packs away the rapidly processed shy guys or other things. Yoshi most likely lays eggs because Nintendo thought it would be a lot more fun. This is why I believe Nintendo cares little about their character's storyline- Any changes they make to a character, they do them to make their new games "more fun and exciting" to their customers, rather than stick to a storyline. Otherwise, why would Bowser ever play with Mario & friends in games like Mario Golf, Mario Kart, Mario Tennis? And then they become enemies again in Mario Sunshine? Pleez. As for trying to find a logical explanation, this will be impossible since some of these things have no basis in real life! And even Nintendo itself makes it worse after each game. In SSBM, in one of the Yoshi trophies' description, it says something about Yoshi's eggs that is not true!! It was written by a Nintendo amateur if you ask me. As for those who think Yoshi's eggs are just like any other egg... Do you really think any animal can digest something as large as a shyguy in just ½ second? Of course not. And if this were true, in SSB and SSBM all the other characters would have been dead a long time ago. By the way... I was planning on doing something similar to what you are trying to do (explain Yoshi in scientific terms). I scanned the whole chapter about reptiles from my Zoology book and I plan to make a description of Yoshi using this real world knowledge. For example I could say Yoshis use an early form of sexual reproduction, which is why males can still lay eggs, although not the same eggs a female can lay. This would also help explain Yoshi's calm, friendly behavior- he ain't no macho man, or anything like that! Male & female Yoshis are more closely related than any other animal species. The main difference is in their reproductive roles. A male Yoshi's egg-laying ability could be defined as the 'leftovers' of evolution- Much like the tiny leg-like bones inside snakes, which evolved from lizards. I would like to say more but I can't here. In fact I think I already said too much, so I will have to include the following: Note for 'macho' people: Don't EVEN dare to think about using a 3 letter word that starts with a G... If you don't believe a man can be calm/friendly/gentle/etc. then you deserve to be SHOT. Seriously, you need to die. And you also need to look up that word in the dictionary because you don't know what it means...

I seriously hate it when people use that word in such a derogatory sense. I hear it all the time at school. Using the word "suck" in its place would be a lot more appropriate. It just shows how much ignorant, arrogant, immature, bigotry a-holes are out there. I also f*ing hate it when people use the three or six letter f word to degrade someone. Seriously, these base people have no respect at all. Sorry, but I had to rant that out. No, I'm not... And I said this once (elsewhere), and I'll say it again. I hate this planet. EDIT: I don't even want people discussing about this. How about we change the subject, shall we? Anything! Who here is left-handed?

Oh yeah, and by the way, godspeed on your scientific and realistically biological description/explanation of Yoshi, Mr. Soul. Can't wait to read it. It might make me think about Yoshi in an entirely different way. Or there's that possibility it might make me think of you in an entirely different way.

This is why I never ever tell anyone i.r.l. that I like Yoshi. I only say it on the internet. And I have also made sure that none of my friends (not even my cousins) ever finds my Yoshi site. The only one who knows is my brother, and he also likes Yoshi.
If other people won't grow up mentally, just don't tell them and they will never give their opinion.
These things are not easily understood/respected by the general public, so yes it is best to stop talking about it.
