This is probably a very common thing to talk about among yoshi fans...but I'm sure you notice in SMW, when yoshies hatch, they are wearing shoes. In Paper Mario2, your yoshi is wearing shoes after it hatches(although you don't actually witness it hatching so it could've gone and grabbed a pair of shoes). Also, you never see yoshies barefoot. One could wonder what their feet really look like...and how the shoes got on the yoshies before they hatched. Maybe when a yoshi eats a lot of shyguys since they wear shoes...hmm.

Reminds me of a silly, random message I once sent to Nintendo for almost no apparent reason.

I was born with a pair of shoes, but I've been switching them out every now and then. I had a pair of orange shoes when I-Yoshee- was born, but I somewhat recently acquired white shoes that I like very much, so I wear them instead.
Maybe their shoes develop with them in the egg? That way they have instant footwear if the location the baby hatches in is dangerous, with thorns or spikes or whatever.

Heh, Yoshi feet...
Some creatures of the Mushroom Kingdom just happen to be born (or hatched) with natural items of clothing. Kinda like Koopas and their shells.

hmmm I would of thought this kind of topic would sprout up eventually... I've drawn yoshi feet on how I've thought they'd look like once, and that's what I beleive they look like. well, I think we all know that yoshis island and the mushroom kingdom have been dubbed pretty magical places, and many things let unexplained, though I like your idea of the whole' they get their shoes from eating the shuy guys and stuff as they have shoes'. Though personally, I like to think of them as being born with em (like humans are born with hair) but as Tehs email reply says "some answers are left to the players imagination" so I don't think it was really ment to have an answer at all :\

Yoshi feet are a myth, like bigfoot and the loch ness XD Will they ever truly be seen, or will they forever evade cameras? Only time can tell! I'm of the personal theory that they were hoping we'd never notice lmao.

Yoshi's feet is like everyone said in here, a myth. There are many theroys to many feet/paw/claw lovers. Some say it's 3 toes. Other say it's dinosaur feet. There are other non-boot mario characters like Bowser, Bowser Jr., the koopalings, and Birdo. And there feet are dinosaur/dragon feet. Look at Boshi, he's wearing boots. But there toes on the front.
As an artist, it's my job to know the anatomy of the characters. I say my theroy is on Boshi. Dinosaur feet. But it's odd that, if yoshies have dinosaur feet. Why didn't the shoes ripped apart? But hey that's my opinoin.
As for born with boots. Well the world my never know.

Maybe ther feet look exactly like shoes, and they've been barefoot all this time. I highly doubt it though...

Oooh I never thought about Boshi (for some reason he never comes to my mind when I think "yoshi"), but I suppose that would show the yoshi feet. Maybe yoshies just have smaller claws? Or maybe they file/trim them? Yoshies do kinda strike me as effeminate enough to do so, while Boshi would be the tough rebel that would grow his nails out. XD

Speaking of the Lochness monster... on the last page... a man on his deathbed said that he had made up the monster as a joke, but it had soon gotten out of hand. Prank? Double prank? Who knows?
And on that note, we will never see a Yoshi without his or her shoes, unless it's fan art. Will a yoshi ever be shoe-less in a video game?
As some people mention, how are they born with shoes? Well I don't know, but they're born with'm when you hatch yoshi eggs in a bunch of Mario World games. Same for saddles. I think Yoshies might have been literaly Born to Ride.
Alright, so Yoshies were MEANT to have shoes and saddles on birth. Nintendo on the other hand, has never let us see a saddleless, shoeless yoshi. And if I did miss a saddle-less or shoe-less yoshi, tell me, 'cause I WANT TO SEE!!
