Because you're in the UK. A lot of people here are usually in North America, and it's either very early in the morning or super late night for them. To you, it's probably just the afternoon or evening or so. And even so, other people in the UK are probably busy doing something else at those times.

? er, what's that supposed to mean? There's actually quite a few Europeans here and I myself am surprised at the strangth of the Brits presense.
Time difference is US East coast is 5 hours behind us (5pm in the UK = 12pm in the East US) and the West coast is 8 hours behind us. (5pm in the UK = 9am in the US West Coast)

Please don't take that away from us!

This traffic reduction has a lot to do with school.
July, August, and December are the months that bring the most traffic to any website, especially to sites frequented by young users. Once school started in September, users found it increasingly difficult to keep coming here, even though many kept coming, and by now (October) they've realized they will have to wait till December to check here as often.

Sorry, but Coordinated Universal Time = Greenwich Mean Time = British Time (British Summer time is UTC + 1) ;D In 1880, England was established as the international Prime Meridian. Meaning 0 degrees Longitude on a map. And thus, the centre of time on the entire planet. There are actually some differences between UTC and GMT, but the reference point is the same. oh, and if I read the post wrong and have come off with the completely wrong meaning, my apologies. Still quite sleep deprived.

Hey, hey, hey, come now, USA isn't bad. There's a lot of stuff in USA's history that is incredibly important. In fact, if it wasn't for the USA, Japan wouldn't have made Sony...

Yes, I think people hate the USA for the same reasons that people hate Bill Gates.

Well, I didn't start that, but I think its more like some people dislike the current US administration and its policies. If I'm brutally honest, I'm not too fond of US military practices either, but thats because a careless USAF pilot nearly killed one of my older brothers in the 91 Gulf War. So that's a personal issue, but it has nothing to do with the country itself or the everyday people that live in it. At all.
But this isn't a political topic, or even a political bored.

...politics aren't the issue. Money is.
Think about it. Why do people hate the USA? We are the current economic powerhouse of the world. We have seemingly unlimited money and more resources then anyone else.
Now, why do people hate Bill Gates? He's the head of a massive corporation operating out of a Death Star. He, too, has nearly unlimited resources and money.
For some reason, people can't stand that.
