Good or Evil?

[Leoshi]

It's time again.

The resort was a mess. They walked in to see the main room was completely smashed apart. Glass lay shattered on the tiles floors, vases where shattered, items and furniture was completely overturned, with the fountain's spout broken, shooting water everywhere, leaving a small flood about an inch deep. By the sound of the flow, it was all flooding a basement floor beneath them.

"I'll go check Teo." Yoshifrog shouted, running toward the staircase.

The rest of the group looked around. It seemed the pirates had left this room, for the moment. Though by the sound of crashing, it didn't seem like they had left the building yet.

"Stay on your guard." Yin said. Everyone there drew their weapons, ready for anything...

John had been backed up into an alley. Three pirates had him cornered, ready to be attacked.

"...I can't believe this is how it's going to end." John said.

"So, what are you supposed to be anyway, kid?" one of the pirates asked.

"I... won't talk." John said, with his voice quivering a bit. The pirates inched ever so closer.

"Well, aren't we brave? ...or are we?" the center and leading one said. "I can see you, ya wimp! Cowern' like a little baby?"

John looked down. He didn't want to witness whatever they had in store for him.

"I don't even think you are worth the time." one if the pirates said. There was a bit of silence. "...bu then again, captain's orders."

The pirates all began to shout and rushed toward the Yoshi, who gave a shout for help.

Just like a miracle, his shout was replied by the sudden swish of something in the air. John looked back up and saw a red Yoshi with dragon wings, and blonde hair with a blue in front of him, facing the pirates, with a katana in hand.

"Whoa, it's that guy!" one of the pirates shouted.

"That guy?" the red dragon-Yoshi said with a chuckle. "What, I don't have a name anymore?"

The pirates slowly took a few steps back. Sensing danger, John also tried to back up, only to hit the wall.

"Surely you've heard of me." the red one said.

"It's that Yoshiken guy! He's wanted for thwarting the most pirate raids!" the pirates shouted.

"So..." the red Yoshi said, turning his blade to look into his reflection. "Who wants some?" he turned the blade again to look at the reflection of the terrified pirates.

It was like a cue, because all three suddenly took off running.

Yoshiken smiled and slowly placed his sword away. "That's what I thought."

he turned back and looked directly at John.

"Don't hurt me, I swear I'll leave." John said, pleading with the red Yoshi.

Yoshiken only looked at him for a moment, the began to laugh. John, feeling intimidated, tried to move, but forgot once More he was cornered.

"I've got friends here..." John was trying to look tough. "If you do anything to me, they'll come and-"

"Relax." Yoshiken said. "I'm not going to hurt you."

John still looked intimidated. "...I... don't trust you. Look what you did to those pirates!"

"I just scared them. That's my temporary job here, to make sure these towns are safe. Pirates have been really wrecking these places, so I took it on as a small job to protect these places."

"...oh?" John asked, slowly but surely relaxing. "...thank you."

"Sure thing." Yoshiken said. His smile slowly vanished. "You say you have friends here?"

"...I suppose." John said with a sigh.

"Then we better go find them. I'm going to have to drive the rest of the pirates away." Yoshiken said. "Coming?"

John nodded slowly, before following Yoshiken.

"Ah, so some idiots decided to stick around?" a voice asked.

The entire group turned around and spotted a fleet of pirates near the front doors. One of the taller pirates, a green Yoshi with pirate garb stood in the front, wearing a captain's hat.

"You kids shouldn't be playing inside here." the caption said, revealing a long sword. "Somebody could be hurt."

Yoshee stood in front of them. "Bring it on."

"Well, well, well..." the captain laughed. "Aren't we brave. Get them!"

As both groups rushed one another and collided, a fierce battle broke out.

Yoshifrog remained upstairs, rushing down the hallways in a frantic fashion. She was relieved to see that they hadn't come up here yet.

"Is something wrong?" a new voice asked.

Yoshifrog turned around and spotted a white Yoshi, and an innocent looking one.

"What are you still doing here?" Yoshifrog asked.

"I... um, I was just resting in bed." the white one explained. "Why, is something wrong?"

"There's pirates in here! The whole place is being attacked!" Yoshifrog shouted.

"What?" the guest asked. "I got to get out of here!"

"Come with me, I'm going to find a friend of mine, then I'll get out." Yoshifrog said.

"Okay." the white one said. "By the way, I'm Eloeem."

"Yoshifrog." Yoshi quickly stated her name as they both ran. She reached a door and opened it up. As she did, Teo slowly got out of his bed. "How long have I been asleep?"

"Teo, there's pirates in here! We got to get out!" Yoshifrog shouted.

"Pirates?" Teo asked, still sounding a bit woozy.

"C'mon!" Yoshifrog repeated herself, dragging him from his bed and in the hallway.

The three of them ran until they reached the stairs. As they did, they spotted a stream of water rushing like rapids. There was more of a flood then they thought.

"We need to take the elevator." Yoshifrog shouted, leading the two of them to the elevator doors.

It opened up, allowing the three yoshis inside.

"Is he okay?" Eloeem asked, looking over at Teo.

"I'll explain later." Yoshifrog said. Teo gave a tired moan as the doors shut.

However, there was the sudden sound something big breaking, like a loud guitar string when it snaps.

"What was that?" Eloeem asked.

"I hope not what I think it was?" Yoshifrog said.

Teo sighed. "...what's going on?"

There was another snapping sound. This time, the lights in the elevator flickered and went out, though they could see sparks flying through the cadged roof of the elevator.

"It's the cables!" Yoshifrog shouted. She pounded on the door and tried to pry it open. "When the power cable snapped, the doors locked!"

"This won't end well." Eloeem sighed.

With a final snapping of a wire, the elevator broke free and began it's sudden decent, to it's passenger's dismay. They gave collective shouts, until it came to a sudden jolt, forcing them all to fall on the floor. As the elevator hit the ground, they could hear a loud splashing noise. It seemed as though the elevator was now bobbing up and down in something.

"Great." Yoshifrog said.

Teo suddenly made a small shout of surprise. The other two looked down and saw water seeping into through a crack in the door.

"...EEP! What are we going to do now?" Yoshifrog shouted.

thats A good chapter U got there! I'm always the lait one inside a story, guess its my nature. Yoshiken is so cool and relaxed, I'm not.. heh.. its almost like it IS me... good job in presenting my character, I always gotta present myself to straingers... I did to someone that nearly got to panic inside a roller-coaster, her name was Sara, and we lived in the same town, whats the odds of that?

The sounds of weapons clashing against one another could be heard echoing inside the chamber.

An all out war ravaged against the group, forcing them all into a fierce battle. Weapons, fists, even tongue flew in the air as the battle progressed.

What after seemed like ages, only one was left standing.

"Are you sure this isn't a trap?" Moshi asked. "I mean, this feels too easy."

"Some pirates." Yin mocked.

"Even I find their techniques pathetic." Enrique added in.

"No." the last one said, who was ironically the captain. "I won't lose this fight to kids."

The group slowly surrounded the last pirate, ready to attack.

"C'mon, open up you stupid thing!" Yoshifrog shouted, banging on the doors as water slowly continued to rise, now up to their knees.

"We got to get out of here!" Eloeem shouted.

"Any suggestions?" Yoshifrog asked him back.

"Look up..." Teo said weakly, pointing to the ceiling. The three of them looked up to the barred top of the elevator, looking up into the top of the shaft.

"That's how we can get out." Yoshifrog said. "Eloeem, do you know how to break that open?"

"Um..." he seemed lost in words, having difficulty as water rose to hip-level.

"Teo!" Yoshifrog shouted. "Can you turn into your dragon form?"

"...I'm hurt, Yoshifrog." Teo said.

"You got to!" Eloeem shouted. "We'll drown otherwise!"

"Ok." Teo said. "But don't expect me to fly anywhere."

They watched as be began to transform.

"Is there going to be enough room?" Eloeem asked.

"We'll find out soon enough." Yoshifrog responded.

As he grew, the other two yoshis where forced to back up against the wall. Teo's new, clawed hands smashed at the bars and broke them apart instantly.

As soon as he did, his body shrunk before he completed his transformation, causing him to revert back to a Yoshi. His limp and tired body fell back into the rising pool of water.

Eloeem took Teo, as the three of them began to climb up the walls of the shaft. Water was pouring in from multiple floors, letting them know they where already underwater, in a way.

Yoshifrog looked back down to the bottom of the shaft in time to see the broken elevator being swallowed by the rising water.

"That could have been us." Eloeem commented.

"Keep climbing, we got to get out!" Yoshifrog shouted.

They continued their climb, higher, as the water levels grew and grew.

"Here!" Yoshifrog shouted, leading Eloeem to a door. "There's no water coming from here, I bet it's safe!"

"Safer then here, anyway." Eloeem said, as Teo gave another exhausted groan.

Yoshifrog gave a battle cry and kicked open the door. She was right, the room was devoid of both damage and water.

"C'mon." She said. She gave him her hand, and pulled him through the open doorway. All three of them had made it out.

Yoshifrog took another look through the open set of doors, and saw broken wires hanging freely in the shaft, with sparks flying at them.

"The elevator was sabotaged." she said. With that, she shut the doors to prevent the flood from coming into the room.

They could still hear water rushing though, but chose to ignore it.

"Now what?" Eloeem asked.

Yoshifrog glanced down the end of this room. "We're in the first floor corridor. We have to get back to the others."

"Others?" Eloeem asked. "Who?"

"My other friends. They might be in trouble to." She said. The three of them raced down the corridor, their footsteps echoed and squeaked because they where still wet.

Though for some reason, the sound of flowing water was growing louder.

"What the heck?" Yoshifrog asked, getting annoyed. She turned a corner and looked down into the end of the hallway. The sound of a thunderous roaring echoed in the hallways.

"Where's it coming from?" Yoshifrog asked.

"Maybe it's from the pipes?" Eloeem asked.

"No, I doubt it. They'd be bursting if they had that much water in them-"

They where both interrupted by the sound of a scream. Eloeem jumped, surprised to see Teo freaking out about something.

"What's wrong?" Eloeem asked.

Teo let out one last panicked scream. In the next instant, a wave of water crashed over them. The hallways had become white water rapids, sending them on a trip down the halls.

It seemed like they would win. The yoshis had surrounded the last pirate, ready to defeat him.

Suddenly, from behind them, the sound of glass shattering could be heard. They all looked up and saw Yoshiken with an panicked John on his back.

"I'm here. I hope I didn't mis too much of the action!" Yoshiken shouted.

Suddenly, Enrique gave a quick gasp. They all turned back and saw the pirate holding Enrique in a headlock, with a sword held to his head.

"Darn it Enrique!" Yoshee shouted. "How many times are you going to be held hostage!?"

"Anyone comes near me, and I attack." the pirate captain said.

"...okay, not good." Lava added.

"This is what happens when you don't pay attention." the captain said.

"Sorry..." Yoshiken said sheepishly.

"...so. Who wants to try and... take..." the captain slowly stopped himself.

There was an ominous roaring sound, everything in the room was shaking slightly, as if there was an earthquake.

"What is that?" Yapi asked. As she spoke, her eyes slowly widened up, as she pointed right into a nearby hallway. "Uh oh."

They looked over and saw a huge wave barreling down the hallways, carrying three "passengers" along with it, who where all screaming.

Moshi gasped. "What the-"

She was cut off as the wave ran them over, carrying everyone away along with it.

OH BOY, I can't wait! I'm going to stay here and wait! I mean... I'm just going to patiently take a deep breath and let you take your time.

[Leoshi]

Eek, sorry for the delay. What, a story when I heard of all of this chaos. I thought this board would die, so out of emergency, I copied the story and put it at the makeshift-YC. That's right, I copied and pasted every single part, spell checking and all. After I spent and hour and a half on that, I found out that YC was saved (bad timing), so all I did was waste time, so much that I didn't feel like doing anything. Still, by having others sign up for this fic, I have thus become responsible for keeping this fic running, and fulfilling that duty, I knew I had to keep this alive. So, in spite of all of this bizarreness, I bring you this:

The evacuated guests of the resort all shouted as the front doors burst open. A huge wave of water spewed out, taking it's unfortunate passengers with it.

It barreled downhill, further and further down the streets. As they came to the docks, the "river" slowed to a stop. All of it's passengers came to a sliding stop, scattered on the docks.

"Water..." Yoshiken shivered. "I hate water."

Leoshi also got up, as the rest of his group did.

"Where was I?" the pirate captain asked.

Leoshi realized he had enough. "Take this." he said, holding out the book.

"Ze-Shidome!"

A ball of magical energy appeared and shot forth, right at the pirate. He merely held up a blade, and allowed it to simply bounce off.

Leoshi gasped, starring right at the captain. "What? He deflected my most powerful attack! What do I do now. My first spell won't save me, the second spell does work... and...

He suddenly recalled something. "...I learned a new spell a while ago. It was Transmorphus, wasn't it?"

He looked at the enemy. "But I don't know what it does. It may be very risky."

The pirate was suddenly intercepted by Lava's key-blade. As the two weapons clashed, the pirate was forced to block himself. Lava gave a swing of his blade, now in offense. The pirate captain simply ducked and kicked, sending Lava tumbling down.

Yapi was now ready to attack, flying at the captain at light speed. He merely dodged her attack.

Finally, Yoshiken flew ahead, with his katana in hand.

"At last, a worthy challenge." The captain said. With that note, he held his own blade as the two connected.

Yoshiken swung another blow, then another. The captain continued his blocking, with sparks and clanging per every strike. The captain quickly did a cartwheel to avoid another strike and swung from below. Yoshiken blocked the strike and swung his own blade again. The katana hit the other blade as it blocked the captain.

The pirate looked very man now. He got back up and began to swing repeatedly. Yoshiken was now holding the katana with both hands, defending each and ever swipe.

Yoshiken then flew into the air. He made sure to get a good height into the air, before suddenly flying back down. The pirate gasped, in time to get hit by his strike. The captain shouted and he spiraled through the air, then crashed against his ship. He was moving so fast that he smashed through the wooden hull. As he did, the ship instantly began to take on water.

The others watched this spectacular event, as the ship slowly began to tilt to the front, and slip behind the waves.

Yoshiken rubbed his hands together. "That takes care of that."

From the half-sunken ship, the pirate suddenly jumped. he landed back on the dock. He looked very angry, not bearing to look back at his vessel that had sunken beneath the sea's waves.

"You will pay for that." the pirate said. He gave a battle cry and ran right toward Yoshiken. before he could even react, the fire-dragon Yoshi was hit and thrown to the ground. The blade was drawn out and held right up to his face.

"Let him go!" Yoshee shouted. "We'll give you what you want, just don't kill him!"

"This hothead?" the captain asked. "I am no longer after treasure. I'm after REVENGE!"

Nothing seemed like it would stop this madman. That is, until he felt a hand grab his shoulder.

"What?" he asked, looking over his shoulder. Leoshi was standing right there, who was looking down on the floor.

The pirate looked very enraged. "I'll destroy you too, you-"

"Transmorphus!"

Leo had just called out the fourth spell, not knowing what it would do. "I just want to get rid of this worm."

For some bizarre reason, the word "worm" was repeating in his mind. The pirate caption was suddenly glowing and screaming in shock. In the next instant, the pirate began to shrink in size and shape... further and futher...

As his small hand could no longer hold the blade, the captain released it. Yoshiken had to quickly roll out of the way to avoid the falling sword. It landed on the dock, piercing the wood and sticking there.

When Yoshiken looked back up again, the captain was gone. In his place, for some reason, was a worm.

"Where'd he go?" Yoshiken asked.

Leo was in shock, as was everyone else on the docks. "I..."

"Wow." Enrique said. "You just turned that pirate into a worm."

"Is that the third spell?" Moshi asked. "Worms?"

"No." Leo said. "I think that I can use it to turn whatever I want, into whatever else I want... but I have to be in contact with what I am going to transform... maybe it works on me, too... this is interesting."

"Transforming?" Moshi asked. "Big deal, I do that all the time."

Leoshi sighed and closed his book. He was too shy and to shocked at tis moment to say anymore.

"So, we saved the town." Yoshee said.

"Yes, but what about our journey?" Yin added.

"We need to cross the ocean. And if you recall, we just sent the only boat we've seen to the bottom of the sea." Yapi said. "Just great."

"Perhaps for now, we should go back to Flor Majestuosa. The resort is completely trashed." Eloeem said.

"Maybe." Teo said, with a newfound strength. "...but are you sure? The last time we went in, we where carried out by a wave of fountain water."

"Let's just go." Yoshee said. "It will be better if we go apologize to them about all of the mess."
