Good or Evil?

"It's over." Jay said. "Whatever plans you had with Leo and this girl here are over."

Dark Leoshi looked around. "Demon." he said.

Demon looked up, still holding his own weapon at Ambi. "...what?"

"It's time, Demon." Dark Leo said. "Destroy her."

"If you even move, I'll destroy you." Jay said to Demon.

"It's a stalemate." Ambioshi said nervously. "...can't we just end this?"

"This battle is never over." Dark Leoshi said.

"Oh, come on." Jay said. "Look at us." Ambi can't move, Demon can't move, I can't move."

"Then that leaves me, since my other half is still bound." Dark Leoshi said. "...and lucky for me."

Dark Leoshi rose an arm, and pointed it at Jay, Demon, and Ambi. "Then to solve this, I'll have to destroy all three of you now."

"Master, are you serious?" Demon asked.

"I'm always serious." Dark Leoshi said. "...and I'll be better of. Making one sacrifice and defeating two enemies. The ratio is in my favor."

Leoshi, whom had been bound the entire time, have a loud grunt and broke free from his ropes. He suddenly jumped in the air, before anyone could do anything. Leoshi immediately landed right back on Dark Leoshi, causing them two of them to hit the sandy beach below.

"Ahh!" Dark Leoshi shouted.

In the midst of the chaos, Ambi suddenly sprung away. Demon tried to throw his shuriken, but instead was seized by Jay. Demon broke free and threw the shuriken at Jay, but Jay dodged and let it fly away.

"BLAST!" Dark Leoshi shouted.

"Hold it!" another voice shouted.

Demon looked up and spotted Yapi, Yoshiken, Yoshifrog, Eloeem, Teo, Lava, Treyba, Velvet T, Fantasy Guy, John, LD (with Merier) and Yoshiko, all standing there surrounding the entire fight.

"Oh, this has become quite enough!" Dark Leoshi said.

"Ok, everyone!" Yoshiken shouted. "It's time to end this, once and for all! Charge!"

The entire group rushed toward Dark Leoshi.

"STAY AWAY!" Dark Leoshi shouted. he held up both hands and suddenly, a huge dome appeared over Dark Leoshi, Demon, Leoshi, Jay, and Ambioshi. It looked like a darker, more evil version of Leoshi's "Shidome" attack.

"This is out fight!" Dark Leoshi said. "Don't you dare interfere!"

"This is horrible." Yoshiken said. He took his katana and slashed at the dark dome, but to no avail. "...there's no breaking in there!"

Eloeem peered at the dome. "I can't see anything in there."

For the people trapped in the dome, it was like being surrounded by darkness.

Demon began to attack Jay again. Jay jumped in the air, but landed back down because of the island's prohibition to fly. He slashed right at Demon in an attempt to defeat Demon, but Demon back-flipped and avoided the blows.

Now, Demon reached into his own pockets and revealed 4 kunei knives. He threw the first two immediately.

Jay turned and used his own wings two wings to deflect both of them. He turned turned back and decided to rush at Demon. As soon as he did, Demon pointed the third kunei knife out in-front of him. Jay stopped to prevent himself from accidentally rushing right into the blade.

Demon took the opportunity and slashed with his knife. Jay gasped and jumped backward.

Ambi watched in fear as she leaned against the edge of the dome, looking frantic and trying to find an exit. All of the while, she was hyperventilating.

Leoshi decided to rush at Dark Leoshi. Dark Leo simply help up an arm and shot a ball of darkness at Leoshi. "Stay down." Dark Leoshi said simply, before looking back into the battle."

Jay growled and slashed at Demon again. This time, Demon couldn't keep a hold on his blade, causing him to drop his third kunei knife. Jay grabbed the knife and decided it would work for a decent weapon.

Demon held up his fourth and final weapon. Jay rushed ahead and slashed right at Demon with the kunei knife. Both of them attacked one another, causing sparks to fly everywhere as the two blades hit repetitively.

"...that's right." Dark Leoshi said. "...fight to the death."

Leoshi was now trying his hardest to get back up. He pushed his hands on the ground, and slowly arose.

"You know..." Leoshi said. Dark Leoshi tilted his head toward Leo. "...you think you can always have it your way."

"Yes... and I have been getting it my way for 3,000 years." Dark "Leoshi said. "I have foreseen every one of these events. From my plans all the way down to every word you have said."

"Then..." Leoshi slowly got on his feet. "...if you can foresee everything, then what do you see for the end of this battle?"

"Oh..." Dark Leoshi said. He suddenly burst out into a loud cackle. "Oh, this battle! You know what's coming? Someone is going to die in here."

"You're a liar." Leoshi said. "...none of us will die."

"Oh, but it's true." Dark Leoshi said. "I can guarantee you someone will never make it out of this dome alive. And that will happen very soon."

Leoshi rushed at Dark Leoshi. "...you can't just tell lies like that!"

Leoshi hit Dark Leoshi as hard as he could. Dark Leo gave a loud grunt.

Jay, who had been fighting, turned himself. In this point, he had accidentally lost his guard. Demon slashed his kunei knife right at Jay. Jay gave a loud scream as the blade slashed across his right arm.

Jay looked and saw the cut was dangerously precise, making a single mark on his arm.

"That's it!!" Jay shouted. He swung the knife he was holding. It smashed into Demon's knife with too much force. Demon took the hit with a loud scream. He fell down, defeated.

Demon's kunei knife, however, flew into the air. It spiraled through the air, headed right for an unsuspecting victim.

"LOOK OUT!!" Jay shouted.

Everyone in the dome gasped. Then, the sound of a loud crash. The knife struck it's victim with a dangerously fatal blow. This was immediately followed by a loud, agonized scream.

Another new one, with quite an interesting twist.

There was a horrid stunned silence. Everyone was immediately shocked to what had just become reality. All that is, except for Dark Leoshi, whom had known all along that this was going to occur.

The kunei knife had struck right in the victim’s chest. The victim was stiff at first, with a face of wide eyes and open mouth. Then, she began to lose balance. She gave only a couple of silenced grunting sounds, as she began to stagger back and forth. After very step, she leaned more and more to the left and right. Then finally, she gave up the fight to stay up. Falling backward, Ambioshi hit the sandy beach and remained wordless.

“…no…” that was all Jay could say, otherwise frozen out of pure shock.

Demon, also just as surprised, slowly lowered both of his hands until they hung by his sides limply. He looked back at the fallen one.

“…oh, what have I done?” he asked, his voice shaking.

“Just what I had ordered you to do.” Dark Leoshi said. “…and a job well done.”

Jay slowly fell down to his knees, and looked down into the sand.

Leoshi, however, rushed over to were Amboshi was. “No!!” he cried out. As he ran to her side, he could see she was fighting to stay alive. Her eyes were half closed and her breathing was reduced to small whispers.

“Ambi… no…”

“Leoshi.” She whispered. “…I was able… to save you… wasn’t I?”

“Yes, you did it.” Leoshi said. “Come on, Ambi, it can’t end like this!”

“This battle…” She went on. “…it’s about the fate of the entire world. Besides… what’s one sacrifice... vs everyone in the world?”

Leoshi’s eyes filled with tears. “…come on, you’re still alive, there’s still a chance!”

“We both know that this is where I die.” She said. “…listen… I know… that you need to get up to the sky…”

Leoshi slowly nodded.

“Well… the gem in the Yoshi’s statue… up on my roof… it will give any craft… the ability to fly.” She said. “…take it…”

“Ambi…” Leoshi said softly.

“Please, do what you need to do.” She said. “…please… make sure they don’t… win.”

With that, her eyes slowly closed. Her breathing was slowing down more and more… until it had come to it’s inevitable stop. Just like that, in mere instants, Ambi had gone.

“…no.” Leoshi said. “It can’t end like this. Not here!”

“Can’t you see?” Dark Leoshi asked. “She’s already passed on from this world!”

Leoshi turned back to Dark Leoshi. “This is all your fault!”

“Don’t you mean, our fault?” Dark Leoshi asked.

“Just tell me why this task of yours was important enough to kill an innocent person!” Leoshi demanded. “WHY?!”

Dark Leoshi sighed and brushed his hair aside. “…haven’t you or your friends figured it out? This is no mere game, no child’s play! It’s not some game of tag, or some petty little incident of hide and seek! This is proving who is strong enough to decide the fate of the world! Those who aren’t strong enough fall, just like your pathetic friend!”

“You’ve crossed the line!” Jay shouted suddenly. He slowly got up, holding the remaining Kunei knife.

“You there!” Dark leoshi shouted to Jay. “None of this is any of your business! If you don’t stop meddling in things like this, you’ll end up like her!” he shouted, pointing at the fallen Yoshi.

“That’s all the more reason to stop people like you! You are rotten to the core, you virus to the world!” Jay shouted, gripping the knife even stronger.

“Save your energy for my apprentice!” Dark Leoshi shouted. “Demon, kill him!!”

Demon had remained frozen on the spot. “…I can’t.”

Dark Leoshi held up his fist. “Don’t you dare tell me you can’t kill this meddling one!”

“I can.” Demon said. “…but not now. I can’t… isn’t one death enough for one day?”

“No!” Dark Leoshi shouted. “The opportunity to defeat your enemy is starring you in the face! Do it, kill him!!”

Demon sighed and slowly walked toward Jay.

“So then, how about one more round, Jay Tanoshi?” Demon said. “Do or die?”

“I’ll do anything to stop you!” jay replied.

“NO!” Leoshi shouted. Everyone suddenly focused their attention to him. “This is it, it’s over!!”

He suddenly charged right at Dark Leoshi. Dark leoshi attempted to dodge, but Leoshi grabbed the book in the neck of time. He opened up the pages, not even letting anyone respond.

“BRILLANCE!” he cried out.

He held out his right palm, with the left one gripping onto the book with everything his had. His sad-enraged eyes suddenly began to glow. All of the tears that has been streaming from them flicked into the air and vanished as his right palm began to glow as bright as a star.

Dark leoshi gave a wicked smile. “Do it, then! Show my your potential when your motivation is at it’s highest!!!”

Leoshi held out his hand, and with a sudden burst, a huge explosion of light shot from his hand. A very thick ray of light shot ahead, directly at Dark Leoshi.

Dark Leo held out his own arm and shot a huge ball of darkness. However, with almost no effort, the huge ray of light pierced through the dark ball, ripping it to shreds. The beam hit Dark Leo, sending him spiraling into the air, screaming at the top of his lungs.

As the ray of light hit the edge of the dark dome that was surrounding the fight, the dome flickered and vanished. Everyone outside of it noticed it was free to enter and rushed toward the scene.

Dark leoshi slowly got up. “…could use work.” He said. He looked around and spotted everyone else trying to rush toward him.

“Another day.” Dark leoshi said. He suddenly began to fade away, until he had vanished. Demon, who was nearby, grabbed the unconscious body of the principal, gave a sigh, and then vanished as well.

Just like that, the battle had ended. Everyone rushed into the scene just in time to see the horrible results…

That’s it for now. More on the way, including the Arc finale. And no, I am not afraid to do character deaths in the story.

I knew it was Ambi! The hanger was just so powerful that last chapter... and now it has led to... the next one!

I don't know any way to have written it better, I think this scene was absolutely perfect... there was no way to describe Leo's fury, Ambi's breath, just... everything.

This story has come so far... where will it end? The world may never know...

It’s all right, Lava. Take all the time you need to take on that movie. Quality of the movie or more important then the quantity of time. My next, which also turns out to be the finale of this arc.

Dawn was slowly coming over the entire island. It had been a pretty quiet since the last battle. News had spread about it throughout the entire town. Ambi didn’t seem to have a family there to grieve for her. In fact, not too many residents of the town knew her all that well. They were more or less afraid of what could have become of them, though the heroes simply told them that the evils has abandoned the island.

Leoshi was sitting nearby a nearby stone. The stone, about half the size of a yoshi, surrounded by flowers, placed on the grassy outskirts of the city was the only small marker to indicate were Ambi would forever reside. The quiet morning breeze slowly rushed against the flowers, making them waving very slightly in the wind.

The rest of the group was nearby, but too worried to say anything. The impact of the incident was still lingering everywhere.

Leoshi watched as a small white bird flew onto the top of the stone marker.

As he sat there, a the team slowly approached him.

“…Leo?” Yoshiko asked.

Leoshi didn’t respond.

“Leoshi…” Yoshiken sighed. “…we have to go.”

Leoshi looked down into the grass. It was more then obvious he was still pretty upset about the entire ordeal.

“Leo.” Yapi said. “We don’t really have a choice… if we want to stop those bad guys, we will have to go and stop hem as soon as we can.”

“She’s right.” Jay said. “…it’s the only way to prevent something like this from happening again.”

“…no.” Leoshi said. “I have to take care of this, alone.”

“What do you mean?” LD asked.

“…I dragged her into this, and look where it got Ambi.” He sighed. “…I can’t bear the thought of the same fate happening to any of you.”

“Leoshi, what happened to her was an accident.” Lava said. “…and much as we don’t want to admit it, we have no choice but to leave this behind us, and move on, to make sure that this kind of thing never happens again.”

“But all of you…” Leoshi sighed. “Aren’t any of you worried that the same exact fate could occur to you? Or a loved one in the group?”

“It’s a chance we’ve all been taking.” Yoshiken said. “…it may be targeted to you, Leoshi, but we’re all in this now. This is something greater then any of us could have expected, but it’s too late to just stop.”

Leoshi finally looked up. There was a bit of silence.

“It’s what Ambi would have wanted. To go forth and stop them once and for all…” Teo said. “…now correct me if I am wrong, but didn’t she say that by using that statue of a yoshi’s head, we can make any craft fly?”

“…yes, she did.” Leo replied.

“There we go.” Merier said, as the doll still rested on LD’s shoulder. “…if we head out with that statue, it’ll be like we got a part of her with us.”

“…fine.” Leoshi said. He sighed and slowly got back up on his feet. The group slowly began to walk away. Leoshi, in the rear of the group, looked back one last time to see the stone monument for his childhood friend.

“…see?” Yapi asked. “She’ll never really be gone as long we do as she wanted us to do. We’ll have her support.”

As she spoke, the white bird which had been sitting on the top of the stone suddenly perked up and flew off, into the sun of the dawn skies...

The group was over at Ambi’s slowly taking the yoshi statue off of the roof.

“Geez, this thing is huge!” Yoshiken said. The yoshi head statue was about as tall as he was, and a bit hard to carry.

“So, what are we going to load this thing on?” Yoshiko asked. “There’s no more flying crafts around here.”

“Especially not since a certain someone crashed the prototype glider.” Jay said, looking angrily at LD.

“How was I supposed to help it?” LD asked defensively. “Ansem was going to destroy it anyway.”

“Whoa, whoa!” Lava shouted, as he and he three friend all jumped. “Ansem?! What was he doing here?”

“Causing trouble for the others, back up at the airport.” Jay said.

“We better fly up there with a craft, then!” Yoshiko shouted. Ah, but where do we find one?!”

“Isn’t it obvious?” John asked. “…we can attach it to the Majestuosa.”

Everyone gave him a questioning glance.

“…what?” John asked. “I can make anything fly…” he looked down. “Yeah… sorry for the stupid idea.”

“No, no, it may work.” Yapi said. “…hm…”

The group had returned to the Majestuosa. The statue of the Yoshi’s head had been placed on the ship’s bow, oddly fitting on the front of the ship perfectly.

“Well, how about that?” Yoshifrog asked. “Perfect fit.”

“So now our ship has a face…” Teo said. “Are you sure this old thing can fly?”

“We have to hope it does.” Yapi said.

The group slowly boarded the ship. After a while, they all made it on, and rose the anchor.

“…so, is everyone ready?” Yoshiken asked.

“Do it.” Leoshi said quietly.

Yoshiken reached for a rope, and untied a knot. As he let the rope fly up to the crow’s nest, the two huge sails of the ship fell back down, revealing the Yoshi egg painting on the main sail.

The ship immediately began to move.

“Come on, come on…” Yoshiko said.

The ship was moving even faster now.

“LD, get those wings ready!” Yoshiken shouted.

LD reached for a lever at the bottom of the ship’s wheel. As he pulled it, everyone watched as the two glider wings they others had built earlier sprung from either side of the ship.

“We got wings, man!” Yoshiko shouted. “Awesome.”

As they came out, the ship began to move faster, and faster. Everyone had to brace themselves to the rails of the ship’s sides. It was now racing parallel with the island’s beach.

With a sudden jolt, the ship’s bow rose from the water. It continued to rise until it was out of the water, and the yoshi head statue was looking up into the sky.

Next, the entire structure began to lift out of the water. Drops of water slashed everywhere as the enormous structure was lifting itself off of the seawater. The splashing finally stopped as the stern lifted out of the water. The bottom of the ship was now dripping wet as it rose higher and higher into the air.

The entire group gave cheers.

“I can’t believe it worked!” Teo shouted. “AWESOME!”

“Heh…” Yoshiken said, who was currently at the wheel. He turned around. “Attention everyone, welcome to Yoshiken Airlines. We will make a brief stop at the peak of Airway isle to pick up a few other passengers, then proceed into the skies beyond. Have a fun flight.”

“WHOA!” Yoshee shouted. The group at the top of the island gasped as they spotted the huge caravel ship coming their way.

“So, I guess that’s out ride.” Yin said.

“Yup.” Moshi replied. She walked to the edge of the runway.

“Moshi, what are you doing?” Yin asked.

“You can’t really stop a plane, can you? We got to jump on it while it’s coming.” Moshi said back.

“You expect us to throw ourselves off a cliff and onto a speeding flying ship?” spider asked.

“Got a better suggestion?” Moshi asked.

The entire group raced to the edge of the Cliffside, waiting for the ship.

“…ready… ready…” Yoshee said.

“NOW!” Moshi shouted.

With a great leap, Moshi, Yin, Yoshee, Spider, Champ and Charon leapt off the side of the cliff. They ended up landing directly on the top of the ship’s main deck.

“Welcome passengers, to Yoshiken’s Air-“

“Ok, ok.” Yoshiko said. “That joke’s getting old.”

“What’d we miss?” Moshi asked.

As the rest of the group continued to talk amongst themselves as the ship flew farther up and higher into the sky, Leoshi stood alone on a corner area of the ship were a railing met a wall. He looked down below to the island that was quickly fading into the clouds as they soared higher and higher.

“Things will never be the same anymore... I swear it…” Leoshi thought. He turned around and looked right up into the sky. “…I’ll avenge you.”

As he looked up, the same white bird that was sitting on the tombstone before flew higher, into the clouds, and as it did, he could have sworn he saw Ambi’s face in the clouds, but only for a second.

That’s it for that arc. No new character came from this on, but I upgraded the ship and gave our characters a new motice to keep going. The next one is coming soon, and will incorporate new character, new villains, and all of that.

Now this next one is going to need a few more villains, so if anyone has (one) villain character they would like to have me add to the series, let me know soon. More on the way, as well as a new arc. This nest one will have a lot of excitement, thrills, twists, all you want.
