Alrighty kids, now that the DS has been blessed with its WiFi capabilities and online games to boot, it has been an idea that the fellow forum members can play against each other with the help of Nintendo's nifty thrifty doohickey.

Hey look at that, the Wii is out now, too. So dump all those Wii codes in here while you're at it.

For those who don't know what your friend code is, it will be issued to you the first time you connect to the Nintendo online Wi-Fi service.
Though I'm not 100% that the friend code is constant.

Um, I heard that one's friend code won't be the same in every game, since the game generates it, and not the DS itself - e.g. if you have "ysx" letters as your friend code in MKDS, your code in ACWW easily can be "abc", or something other but not the same as in MKDS :P

Anyway, I have got no NWC compatibile games yet, so I can say nothin' just what I read o_o So it'll be nice to keep this list fresh after a few months, Koshizu! =D

HawHawHaw, how lucky for me that Nintendo Wifi isn't compatible with my POS router >_O

Once I get one of those WiFi dongle things I should be up and running with it on Mario Kart, as long as that doesn't crap out on me D:

I read that too Norby, however the MK WiFi instruction book simply says:
"You can register any Mario Kart DS player as a friend by entering and saving a players unique 12-digit friend code. Your own friend code is automatically assigned the first time you connect to the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection"

So we'll have to wait until someone here has first hand experience and can really fill in the details.

Woah, I didn't even know the DS had those capabilities. I want to try this, but don't know exactly how to connect... I don't know how any of this works. Maybe I should read around. Racing the computers is getting boring.

you need a modem and a compatible router. go to WFC match, and go to settings. choose one of the available spaces, and let the nintendo ds set up your connection itself (do not do it manually unless your really good with routers and ip addresses and such.) your router might be locked with a WEP password. my friends was, and the way i got by this was re-installing the router. some routers are not compatible however, and if you have a broadband connection, such as dsl, theres a small chip you can buy from nintendo which sticks into your computer. your computer must always be on for you to be on wi-fi however.
