Oh man, I wish there is a way to contact these people you race worldwide XD. I was racing this one guy named "snewbury" whose emblem resembled a red S with a circle and slash over it. For the first few competitions I kept nothing but annihilating this guy. When the final fourth race came, it didn't matter to me, so I tried to go backwards in Delfino Plaza. I didn't think snewbury noticed this until I zipped backwards on the bridge, hitting him head on into the air. Then we both proceeded to run all the way backwards into the village itself and ran in the tiny circle as we both got items to just blow ourselves up with. That was so much fun, especially since I've no idea who this person is. Then we zipped past the bridge and into the large paved area, and just both span in circles bumping into each other. It was his last lap, by the way, so he purposely slammed into the wall perpendicularly, just centimeters away from the finish line. That's when I turned and knocked him into victory. I don't know, that was just so fun and retarded, I wish I could somehow talk to the guy about it. XD
EDIT: Mind you all, this took place at around 6:20 AM Pacific time. Who knows where this person is from, haha.

beating-you-action? I've been tricked like this before haha. You'll say that you can be beaten, but you can't... I'll be watching you mister... as you cross the finish line first. It's never as easy at looks, especially against you guys who seem to be quite the "Mario Kart" masters. I suppose it has been awhile, but I can't even gain a lap around any of them. So Graedius, I have a feeling you would easily beat me.... and I'd eat your dirt haha.
