ok, heres mine...(all have crystal & yellow version...leave me alone...) Zigg, Lv. 98 raichu swifto, Lv 70 typhlosion izzy, Lv 70 dragonite raihako, Lv 73 raikou slyix, lv 71 arcanine edd, Lv 70 bayleaf (yes, bayleaf! shuddaap about my bayleaf thing, i think hes better than meganium...sorta (bayleef gets faster than maganium! my lv70 maganium is wayyyyy lower than edd...) adn i love nicknames...so yeah... im trying to not get them to Lv 100, or else it wont be anyfun to play anymore... note to random people: all my pkmn were hand raised, not traided...(i traded pikachu from yellow ver, adn got an egg=zigg) and i did the same with edd...and only 2 rare candie were used (at max) ton each pkmn, and it was kinda hard to train all of em...(heh, i think i let zigg out too much...)

i was a HUGE pokemon yellow fan. although i never used any legendarys, my pokemon were real good. i almost cryed when my game reset due to playing over the time limit, which was somthing close to a year i think... my party before the game died: flareon (somewere around level 30) pidgoet (somewere around level 35, or 40) blastoise level 50 pikachu (somewere around level 60) venisaur i think level 73 and, my favorite who could beat the pokemon league alone by himself: charizard level 93.
i caught and nicknamed a few of them in gold i think, charizard was NoMingo pikachu was ZapO err, i forget the rest. anyhow, i think one of the stongest pokemon in ruby/sapphie/fire red/leaf green and soon to me emerald is jirachi. a level 40 can stand up to a rayquaza. (i know this because ive tryed) i think the combination of steel and psychic are the strongest, just an opinion.
edit: oh, and i never used a rare candy, pp up, cacium, zinc etc. on my pokemon, ever! all my pokemon were level 5 when i started out with them, except the flareon, he was level 25. i got him as an eevee though.

I love eevees (especially Vaporeon) so I made a team entirely out of eevees ^_^

Evees make a good team, with thier different types, you could go super effective on many different pokemon

i think psychic/steel types would do the best in a battle though -_-

a big con to normal type pokemon is that they cannot attack ghost type, and they are really bad against fighting and rock types.

Yes, but Normal Poke'mon can learn all types of moves, so that pretty much makes up for it.

That's partially true, normal pokémon can indeed learn lots of special moves, though most normal pokémon have a low special attack stat that even if super effective against something else, it won't do as much damage, hence why I usually don't carry a normal type pokémon around with me at all when I make my teams. There are, of course, a few exceptions.
