Red stared at the marking on her arm. "Interesting," He murmured. He realized he was being rude, and snapped his gaze back to the ocean. "Very interesting story. I'm willing to help you fight evil, or whatever needs to be fighting with," he offered, calmly. Red wanted to look brave, although he was an amateur at oceanic combat.

[Morphshi]

Morphshi was very supprised how this had happend and did nothing more to help,he went away and disappeared into the fog.

[Kara]

she smiles and nods to the striped yoshi "I'm glad to hear you will help me. I am afraid I don't know where to begin. I only know the location of where the main base will be not where it originally was." starburst turns toward inland hearing the shot "What was that? It sounded like a gunshot?" she waddles over toward the sound since she isn't that great on land. she wonders what the sound was

[Nv. 2993]

" Strauss, she's coming." Jeff murmured.
" Who?" he asked, looking back at the clearing. He saw, through the bushes, the strange aquatic creature waddling closer and closer. He turned his attention back to the other creature, saw the recognition in his eyes.
" Tell me who you are, both of you." Strauss slowly moved closer to the creature.
" ...They call me Liam. And she is Starburst-"
" What are you even doing here, causing atmospheric disturbances instead of staying in your own present time?" Jeff cut in.
" I came to check up on her. I was too careless. I didn't think that setting the altitude to the normal setting would-"
" Wait. Last time I checked, half a mile high is not the sea level." Strauss said, suspicious.
" Well, it will be, in a few years." Strauss thought his stomach was turning to ice. A global flood, in just a few years? No, he shouldn't ask any more questions, not until they had a safe spot for interrogation.
He abruptly punched Liam hard in the gut, and caught him by the neck as he keeled over. Dropping the rifle, giving him a free arm, he drew his pistol, holding it to Liam's head. Jeff took the dropped rifle and switched on the safety, being the nervous wreck he usually was when it came to handling guns.
Strauss roughly dragged Liam out into the clearing, within plain sight of Starburst.
" Don't come any closer, if you want your friend to live!" He yelled, with authority in his voice. Sensing that Liam was trying to speak, he tightened his arm around his neck a bit harder, kept the gun aimed at his head.

[Kara]

Starburst blinked and stopped right there seeing a familiar face "Liam? What are you doing here?"" she looked up at the figure holding the gun "Don't hurt him, he's no threat to you. What do you want? Where you sent by the Starburst group? I didn't think they would catch on to our plans so fast. How did you even know when and where I was? Never mind. Just don't hurt him, im guessing they sent you to collect me didn't they?" she looks very nervous with her friend being held hostage. she doesn't make any quick movements either so not to upset the one with the gun to her friends head.

Lora didn't know exactly what was going on, but she saw the gun at least. She straightened up being Starburst, arms folded.
"Don't ya lay a fingah on 'im, hun." She narrowed her eyes intimidatingly. "Jus' put the gun down."

[Morphshi]

Morphshi comes back and decided to ask Starburst what he could do to help.So Morphshi did what he did.

Red hid behind the two, crawling in the thick grasses. He was poised, ready to attack at any moment with fists or whatever he had. He did know some magic with water, but not well enough to fend off these evil looking people. He waited in silence, trying to get the gist of what was going on.

[Nv. 2993]

Strauss hesitated for a moment before deciding to let go of Liam. He thought for a moment to say the right kind of thing. Maybe they would all be better off doing this peacefully.
" I am Lieutenant Johann Strauss. I work for a military group called the Paranormal Threat Investigation Squad. I was sent here to check up on another strange event when you came here and caused that time disturbance. This so-called Starburst Group has been starting to cause enough trouble to upset the civilians..." He was interrupted by the beeping of his radio.
" Strauss, We're getting strange signals originating a few miles out to sea, closing in on your location. We're sending one of the trucks to pick you up. You and your friends."

" Alright. The truck will be here in a few minutes. We'll all be heading to one of our headquarters and settle things over there. Any questions?"

[Kara]

Starburst hugs Liam happy to see him and looks at the one who has the guns "So you know about the starburst group? I didn't think they where this active. Liam you where supposed to send me back before they got strong enough to cause trouble. I also want to speak with you about my landing later." she turns back to Johann "I don't meen to be tearbly rude but how do I know your not part of the starburst group? you mind showing me your top? Sorry but they had spies everywhere where me and Liam came from. Also whats a truck? I have so many more questions as well"

[Nv. 2993]

" Well, they arent exactly as active as you think. We've only had five events so far involving the Starburst Group within the past year, the last event we managed to capture one of them. And as for exposing myself like that, I'm not allowed to do that in public. Go to my room once we're back at the base, I'll show you then. And a truck..." He paused. Out of the jungle came rolling an olive drab colored APC.
" Is something like that. You'll see when we get back." A door on the back of the large vehicle opened up, and out came a soldier dressed in a uniform identical to Johann's.
" We've got room for six more sir. You'd better hurry. The signal's getting stronger, and Major Bitterman is living up to his name. He really wants to see them." he said, pointing to Liam and Starburst.
" The yoshi's been chain smoking the whole time, pacing back and forth all over the place. He's probably gonna kill himself that way if we don't get back soon." The recruit added jokingly. Strauss only grimaced. When the Major smokes those cigars of his...
He just realized that Liam bore signifigant resemblance to the Major. No wonder he didn't like him from the start. Oh well, it didn't matter much. There were plenty of possibilities, and since Liam was from the future, many of those possibilities were very likely to be correct. Without another word, he entered the APC.

[Kara]

Strburst jumped as the big truck looking at it cautiously and nervously "I, is that thing safe? I never seen anything like that." she nervously goes up to it holding Liams hand for support since they know each other. she gets in with some help since she's not exactly very good at climbing. "Whats going to happen to us?"

[Nv. 2993]

" Hey, it's very safe. We've practically driven them right through concrete barriers, and these babies can take a direct hit from an anti-armor missile." Liam heard Strauss boasting.
" Hey, when are we gonna get there anyway?" he asked, feeling the whole vehicle rumbling around him as it trundled along a dirt road. Nobody answered him.
It was only three minutes until they got there. And the first thing Liam could smell when the door opened was the smell of tobacco.
" Oh great. The Major's been out here." someone mumbled. Strauss got out first, and Liam came second. The military base was in reality a bunch of one-story buildings that surrounded an open area, which was seemingly used as a parking lot and other outdoor storage. And standing right in front of him, wearing a different kind of uniform and holding something in his mouth that Liam guessed was a cigar, was a gangly dark blue yoshi with hair protruding from a beret. Liam never thought he would ever see anybody who looked as dark and secretive as he did. Worst of all, he looked familiar.
" Lieutenant Strauss, you were supposed to be here a long time ago, but we will speak of this later. The rest of you are confined to the barracks and the mess hall. When Strauss or someone else asks you a question, I expect you to answer it. In the meantime, go and find yourselves a room. Come to my office at 1700 hours. That's three hours from now for those who don't use our calender." Without another word the Major walked off, tossing away the cigar.

Red followed in tall grasses and trees to the military base. He hid outside in one of the trees overlooking the busy area. He was so confused, but felt compelled to follow and help the Starburst creature. He dropped to the ground, searching for some source of water. He wanted to practice and needed to live. He found a small clear water spring not far from the military base.

Red didn't feel welcome in the camp, so he decided to live on the outskirts of the area in the woods. He practiced using water magics for entertainment. He realized he could increase and decrease water pressure by tapping into the water's aether. He started carving slabs of rock by water alone, leaving clean cuts and elegant designs. He started work on a type of pole which could serve him as a staff. He had weird feelings about danger happening. Its not everyday a creature falls from the sky into the waters... he thought to himself as he worked.

The rest of his time, he slept in the waters. He felt relaxed in the spring. He soon began to feel himself like the element of earth. He was the earth. It was him. He could feel the warm water wash against him, wash him and all his thoughts away...Red was so soothed by the water.

[Kara]

Starburst looked very confused "Who is they one and why should I do what he says? I don't understand anything now." she started asking a bunch of questions most where pretty easy like what the big brown and green things where and about all the other military stuff "Sorry but theres none of this where I come from. what little land there is only has small plants." she thought about that general character trying to wonder why he seems familiar but isn't quite sure. "Is there any water around here I can relax in? I may be able to walk on land and breathe air but I prefer being in the water."

Strauss decided to answer only a few of those questions. Starburst was sure to find out the easy stuff over time.
" That guy who told you what to do is Major Bitterman. He's our leader, so what he says, we do, or he'll probably roundhouse kick you in the face or whatever it was he did to Johnson for stealing his cigars. As for water, there's a swimming pool out behind the barracks, or it used to be, anyway. Somebody poured a lot of dirt and fish in there and turned it into some kind of aquarium. I can't swim one lap without a bunch of fish swarming all over me, and its murkier than swamp water." Strauss added.

[Kara]

Starburst hmms and is still rather unsure of what is going on but waddles out to check on the swimming pool turned aquarium. She figures if fish can breathe in that murky water she can to and jumps in. though the only bubbles that come up subside quickly as she sinks into the deep end and trys to relax from that stressful fall she had. some might wonder how she can hold her breath this long but since she has gills she's perfectly fine and capable of breathing like fish. she even catches a few for food if there decent size enough.

Morphshi makes himself have gills too.Morphshi then asks how were you the only one of her kind.

[Lord of the Dance]

Lora had joined the others on the truck with only grumbling. She didn't want to get involved with this- she was mentally kicking herself for getting on the truck in the first place. What was she doing here? She knew nobody. There was no reason to help them. The Pianta supposed she'd have to stick around anyways and use curiosity as her excuse.
She walked the perimeter of the base slowly, waiting for this seventeen-hundred hours to come.
