(ok heres the actual rp, sign ups are still avalable)

it's a nice warm day at the beach, it's the middle of summer and the sun is shinning and the ocean is quite warm. It looks to be like another day when something odd starts happening i n the sky.

Something is forming aways out to sea over the ocean. It apeers to be a hole in the sky but to where? A noise can be herd getting louder and louder. It sounds like someone screaming. After a minute or two something falls out of the hole screaming hitting the water. The hole disapeers and everything seems to go back to normal.

Though whatever fell out doesn't seem to be floating back up.

Red runs from the woods, hearing the loud screaming. He finds the shoreline and looks up at the sky with curiosity. He then looks out across the ocean. He walks over to the beach.

Meanwhile in a secret base constructed on the ocean floor...

"Heh heh, my plan is about ready to come to fruitition! Within a year, the world will be mine!" I cackled loudly.

Just then, Dominus and Zezper, my left and right fin sharks entered the room.

"Master Cataclysmo!" Dominus grunted bluntly. "There's been a time interference at point 3-17!"

"Send Rizzer to check it out." I said commandingly.

(OOC): Seeing as there is only one other member that's playing as a Starburst member, I've decided to make things more interesting by creating more characters to be in the Starburst group. I hope no one minds.

Red walks across the shoreline cautiously looking out into the blue. The water seems so calm. Could he have imagined the sounds he heard just a few moments ago? He begins walking into the water to investigate. He wades waist deep into the dark blue sea when his conscience overrides his curiosity. You don't know what your getting yourself into. You have no idea what is waiting for you in the ocean. Red begins backing up and out of the water.

as red starts backing out a dark shape starts to show under the water as it get s closer to the shore. it stays under though it sees red and seems to be keeping it's distance as if to check him out. there arnt any bubbles to it doesn't seem to be running on an air tank, fish certly don;t stay on one spot either. after a few minutes the figure comes slowly onto the shore grumbling and shouting at the sky "I'm not Kara thank you! I don't have wings! Try aiming close next time!" it shakes it's hand. This is definitely an unusual looking creature. it looks somewhat like a yoshi though it is standing a bit taller than your average yoshi but covered in red fur except for it's black belly scales. It's claws are webbed and even it's tail seems to be webbed. it comes put and shakes itself off still looking a bit annoyed.

Red stopped in his tracks, staring at the creature. He could understand it. He didn't know whether he was in danger or not, so he waited.

[DanteEX]

I walked into the same room as Cataclysmo. "Where's Rizzer going?" I asked.

[mecharedyoshi]

"He's off to investigate a time disturbance at point 3-17." I informed the shyguy.

[DanteEX]

"Well," I started, "I'll go check it out, also." I walked out the room and toward my ship. I set it to Underwater and drove it into the sea.

[Lord of the Dance]

Lora Pianta suddenly shoved the red Yoshi aside, having seen the whole thing from a few hundred feet away. She had jogged up as soon as he had gone in the ocean.
"Who ah you?" She demanded, pointing a finger at the furred Yoshi disapprovingly. Things that belonged in the water should stay in the water as far as she was concerned.

[Kara]

the creature shakes it's self off and looks at the two onlookers curiously "Who am I? Thats not a very polite greeting. I thought the people of this time period where nicer. No wonder they allowed it too happen." she blinks and realizes she was thinking out loud "Oh tearbly sorry about that. I guess I just not used to being on land. There hardly any where I come from. Though lets see, I don't actually have a name. I guess you can call me Starbusrt if you like. They where the ones who created me after all. Now then who might you be? I didn't think anyone would have been around to watch my arrival. I told him to be more careful with those calculations but no! HE had to be all macho." she pouts and looks around the beach curiously like she has never seen one.

Red took a few steps back, staring back and forth between the two. "I'm red.yoshi. ." He stammered, a little shocked. He looked over at Starburst, taking in the creature. He then looked over at the Pianta. He just stood there wondering if this was some sort of dream.

[Lord of the Dance]

The Pianta put her fists on her hips.
"Ya coulda said that in the first place, hon. Politeness comes aftah the greetings and whatnot around heah. M'name's Lora, by the way." She held out her hand for the other Yoshis to shake if they wished. She didn't really understand what Starburst was going on about, but she made sure to remember at least some of it for later. What a whale of a tale she'd have to tell the rest of her village! Something Yoshi-like falling out of the sky and yelling about who-knows what!

[Kara]

She smiles and shakes both of there hands with her webbed hand and claws. "Pleasure to meet ya both. Sorry about the entrance, time travel isn't exactly my way of travel. Where I come from theres hardly any land at all, mot of the planet is under water. Thats why I was created to be able to find those dry landers as we call them and get rid of them. I'm sure this is a bit hard to swollow im sure. who would believe such an odd looking critter? I can't really give any proof. But then have you ever seen anything quite like me?"

[red.yoshi]

Red shook his head as he shook hands with the two others. "I can't say I have. Do you know why your here? I'm not trying to be rude or anything, but is there anyway we can help you out?"

[Kara]

she smiled and nodded "Oh yes, I know very well why I came back through time. Theres a group called Starburst and in the future they have melted all the ice and flooded the planet so it is almost all water. I was originally created from one names Kara along with other marine species to hunt down the land dwellers who still survive and let the extermination squad get them. but I liked the land as well as the sea. I traveled back several hundred years to stop them. Although I don't know who started the group I can tell you that all members bear this symbol on them somewhere" she points to the star symbol on her arm

(OOC): Well, I feel like I need to have another character or a few to get myself started. It would make things a bit easier for me.

" Command, are you getting this?" Strauss asked, peering through the scope of his rifle. It was a high tech weapon, with all kinds of things from laser sights to night vision to the video cam attached to the scope. That wasn't the point, though. Here he was, out on patrol, when he was called to investigate a time disturbance.
" It looks like we have a Starburst that walks on land."
" Is it hostile?" came the question.
" No, sir. It doesn't act like the others. That thing seems to be talking with a Pianta and a Yoshi..." He started, with a slight sneer. He wouldn't think twice about killing something that wasn't a human like himself. But then again, being a highly trained soldier in the P.T.I.S.( Paranormal Threat Investigation Squad), he wouldn't think twice about shooting anything.

" Get back to the camp, and get Jeff. Whatever that thing is, we'll have to take it back to the base for some interrogation." Without a word, Strauss moved back into the foliage.
He took only two steps before another hole in time opened up in front of him. Using it as a chance to see through to the other side, he tried focusing on the blurred shapes inside. He heard muffled voices.

"...my fault that I set it so high. I didn't think that the water level would be so low back then." one of the shapes moved closer, grew more focused. Strauss was soon able to make out a creature somewhat similar to the one on the beach. He could make out... The figure seemed to jump right out of the hole and came running straight for him. Strauss instinctively fired a round, leaving a loud report ringing in his ears. The bullet missed, but the figure stopped in its tracks, nearly face to face with him. He waited until the portal closed before he started asking questions.

" Who are you, and why are you here?" As his eyes adjusted to the dimness, he could see that the person's appearance was similar to the other one, but more like an opposite similarity. Dark gray skin with red underside skin color, considerably thinner, with gray-purple webbed spikes protruding from the brown hair on his head, and there was that mark on his upper arm, the symbol of a Starburst. The whites of his eyes had a slight green tint to them, and by the looks of it, the thing had understood every word.

" Your friend might be here in a minute, if it heard the shot. We'll save most of the questioning for later, but if you don't tell me who you are right now, you won't live to see your friend." He raised the rifle a bit higher, aiming it at the person's head.

" Strauss, he's too valuable to kill. And the group by the coastline will be here any second." Out of the foliage came Jeff, holding his sidearm, although he wasn't pointing it at anyone. He was more of a Techie than anything else. He never even shot anybody.
" We'll just wait then. Four against us two, the scales are in our favor, with one of them as a hostage."

(OOC): Sorry about so much length, but this is what happens when you get someone in an Rp who has enough imagination to rival the detail H.P. Lovecraft went into with his stories.

OOC: Liam isn't really like Starburst, though. He is a completely different subject, and he was more like somebody the Starburst Group took and experimented on, which ended in failure. All they succeeded in doing was improving the length of time he could stay underwater by a few minutes and giving him better performance underwater, along with the alterations in his appearance. So, he's of a different sort.
Morphshi, I don't really understand your post, because if that's you posting as the person who came out of the portal in front of Strauss, that's Liam. You're going to have to fit yourself in another way.
