It seemed that in the few minutes Liam had been in this world, it seemed to become very populated. It was noisy, except for the secluded pool, which was full of dark murky water. At least there was some peace here. At least that's what he thought until something barreled into him and knocked him into the water. When he resurfaced, he saw Strauss and the Major. Strauss looked very pleased with himself, and the Major was frowning, smoking another cigar.
" Looks like you're gonna have to not smoke for three weeks or owe me five hundred bucks." He snatched the cigar from the Major's mouth and tossed it to the ground.
" Because apparently, you've been stupid enough to think I couldn't sneak up on somebody and..." Liam soon no longer heard anyone speaking as he let himself sink down to the bottom of the pool. Even if he couldn't breathe underwater, he could still stay under for a considerable amount of time. And looking at the beautifully colored fish swimming lazily about was much more peaceful than watching a raucous human and a creepy yoshi yelling at each other.
