The Great Yoshi Adventure

Here it is! The first of my many RPGs!

One day you recieve a letter that says:

I have just discovered something amazing! Bring four of your yoshi friends as well!

1st Yoshi

Name: red.yoshi
Age: adolescent
Gender: male
Color: red with black stripes, and a blue dog collar w/ circular tag
Weapon: hammer
Bio: red was walking one day, twirling his new mallet in his hand. a letter falls from the sky, and lands on the earthy ground. he slings the large hammer over his back, and reads it.
red scratches his chin, and is on his way to meet this MechaRedYoshi.

2nd Yoshi

Name: Yoshee
Age: 14 1/2
Gender: Female
Color: Green with gold spikes and grey eyes, and wears a bow around her neck
Weapon: Tennis racquet
Bio: She doesn't talk about where she came from, only that she was born on another island.
I was taking a stroll along the beach, like I liked to do. The waters were almost always calm, and the sand radiated warmth through the soles of my white shoes. I did a double-take when I noticed a note caught in a patch of seaweed to my left, near the water. The letter's dry, so it came from around here, I decided. I picked it up and skimmed it quickly. Not that there was anything to skim- the letter was only a sentence long.
"He must live nearby here, since there's only a breeze," I said out loud. I turned and headed off towards the mainland right away since I didn't have anything else to do first.

Well, it seems as if trouble is about to arrive as far off inb the distance you can see 2 goombas, one red and one blue. There also seems to be a block in the air along the path. Mario did tell you something about Mimics, but it's doubtful one would appear so early in the adventure.

You immediantly run into trouble as you step on a crab. It imediantly attacks you.

"Eew, a crab," I grumbled, hopping lightly away in case it tried to pinch me. Spiders and crabs just had too many legs for my liking. It followed me, so I supposed it was making an attempt to attack me. I wasn't sure whether to run or kill it, since I didn't normally like to clobber things that small.
In the end, I decided to keep walking. Hopefully the crab would realize I wasn't there any more and go back to its buisness.

It only took a few seconds for the crab to realize you weren't a threat, and when it did, it scuttled away. In the distance though, you see what appears to be a Yoshi getting attacked by a pair of Parakoopas.

red looked down at the goombas. he reached down to pat one on the head "why hello little guy--OUCH!" the goomba bit red's hand. he quickly side stepped it, pulling out his large mallet, swinging it and trying to fend of the goombas. they were un-afraid of this bluff, and jumped twords him. "YAHH" red shouted as he swung the giant hammer, stunning one of the goobas and knocking it aside. the other came for red, and head butted him. red stumbled, but caught his ballence, and swung the maul, crushing the currently opposing goomba. he searched for the first, but could not find it. "hmm...i guess he ran off afraid?" red swung his maul onto his back, feeling a little stronger than before.

I saw the Yoshi ahead and pulled my Tennis racquet out, the crab forgotten. I rushed at the Paratroopas and jumped on one before they could react, and took a swing at the second.
"Don't you know better than to pick on a Yoshi?" I sang out at the winged Koopas.

(OOC) Just post what you're going to do, and I'll take care of the rest, ok? Anyway, I'll overlook it this time since you weren't informed earlier.

Charging in like a juggernaut, you quickly defeat the first goomba, then commit the stupidest error possible in a fight. You drop your guard. It turns out to bea mistake as the remaining goomba surprises you with a headbonk.

You jump into the fight and deliver a crushing blow to one of the parakoopas.

Red Parakoopa: Hey that hurt!

I'll explain. In this example, you should've stopped after saying that you patted one on the head, then let me decide the goomba's reaction to your action. In other words, you decide what you're going to do, but I'll decide the reactions of others. It's just like in real life. Do you get it now?

I quickly swatted the green Paratroopa out of the way with my racquet as the red one excaimed in pain. I wrapped my tongue around the first Paratroopa and decided to hold him there until he gave me three good reasons to let him go.

"Okah, hahn," I quickly swung my tongue around and let the Paratroopa fly off, slamming into the green winged Koopa. That fanciness had left me a little dizzy, so I couldn't quite focus on the Koopas for a few seconds. I shook my head a little and tried to find them again.

Hah! Tricked you! We'll retreat for now, but we will get that Gem Module for Master Vinseng! Then, he'll be able to annihilate all yoshis!

Those are their parting words as they fly off.

The other yoshi turns to you.

;D: Thanks for your help. Luckily, they weren't able to steal this Gem Module from me. Anyway, I'm Professor Zwite, and I've got to deliver this to MechaRedYoshi. And you are?

"Yoshee," I replied, sticking out my left hand. My Tennis racquet hung by my side in my right.
Gem Module... sounds important. Maybe I'll stick around with this guy, I decided. And wasn't that red Yoshi mentioned in the note I found? Hmm, this should be interesting. I wonder what those koots meant, though.

Zwite: Nice to meet you.

Yoshee: How about we travel together? I'm also on my way to meet up with MechaRedYoshi.

Zwite: Sure, why not?

So, both of you get going. It's just starting to get dark when you come to a huge canyon.

Zwite: We shouldrest here.
