~Dawn of Darkness RP~

I sighed. "I wish I could be a stilt guy." I stepped in until the water got to my neck, which wasn't long, and started swimming.

[mecharedyoshi]

"I don't blame you, Shyguy." I said as I too waded across.

[red.yoshi]

"GAH!" Red shouted as as mad cheep-cheep hit him in the face. Something was getting strange about these creatures. This cheep-cheep was bigger than the normal, average, pesky fish. It was a dark color, and seemed evil. It came back up and hit red again. "GAH!" red shrieked, almost losing his balance in the river. He looked back, noticing he was about halfway across. He swung his halberd out in rage at the pesky fish, the water slowing him. It took Red a few tries, but he finally managed to slice the fish and store it under his cloak. He sighed in relief, and used his halberd to keep balance.

The fish weren't attacking me much anymore, which was a good thing since I was getting full from all the cheep-cheeps I had eaten. I must have eaten a couple hundred by now.

I could feel the slimy fish under my feet. They made me feel itchy, even though we were in water. I saw the fish back of the fish that Red had cut off, so I was glad when I saw I was almost across.

It seemed I was the first across as I stepped out of the water. I then turned around to check on the progress of the others.

" Wasn't there a bridge here? The path here seems to end at one point in the river and continue on this side." He commented as he finally got himself out of that cold murky water. He was glad that the town was just up ahead. The gates were open, and he could see a group of guards standing there, on the lookout for anything suspicious.

" Let's find a good inn here before we do anything else. The good ones are always full by nighttime."

"Good idea." I said, agreeing with Renard. "I could use a rest right about now.

[red.yoshi]

Red hoisted himself out of the water quite waterlogged. He lay on the edge of the river and panted. "I need exercise" he thought to himself.

I finally reached the platform, I swung my arms once to grab it, but missed. Then I did it a second time and grabbed it. I pulled myself up, and tried to sqeeze the water from my tunic.

"Well, let's head to the town now." I say as I head towards the town.

[red.yoshi]

Red followed, wiggling his tail to relieve his skin from droplets of water. He munched on a cheep cheep along the way. "I think an Inn and a hot bowl of soup would do us all some good after that icy river" Red mentioned to the group as they were nearing the end of the woods. Speckled lights of the town were already coming into view as the sun was almost fully over the horizon.

"I agree." I said, smiling. My whole body agreed with that.

[Nv. 2993]

" Yeah, that, and a day or two of rest." he said, as they suddenly came to the edge of the forest. It ended a little way down a hill that curved into a valley that the large bustling town was situated in. Lights were flickering on all over the valley, the sun had somehow completely set, and the sky was dark. Beyond the valley were the foothills to a broad mountain. The edges of the swirling storm seemed to have grown larger, for it now just barely could've touched the town, but that wasn't what caught his eye. The center of the storm seemed to have an orange-red glow that gave the inner part of the swirling cloud a similar color, and faint thunder could be heard. The mountain below was bathed in the same red/orange light, and situated on the tip, partly hidden by rising smoke, was something that might 've been a castle. It was probably six or seven miles away.
" I guess that's our destination, if the smoke doesn't asphyxiate us first."

[mecharedyoshi]

"I won't have much trouble with the smoke, but we might want to be careful because enemies might be hiding in it." That smoke gave me an ominous feeling.

[red.yoshi]

Red and the group ventured into the town just as the sky was darkening. "Now for that Inn...umph!" Something or someone had come from the house and fallen on top of Red. "GAH!" mumbled Red as he tried getting to his feet. He noticed that the sign above the building he had fallen in front of had the word "INN" pasted above it, illuminated by lantern light.

Penguin and Pengo both got to their feet still dazed by the collision. Penguin just then realized he collided into a group of people. "I'm sorry, my friend Pengo here broke some dishes and the innkeeper ran us out," exclaimed Penguin.

[red.yoshi]

Red extended his hand. "My name is Red, nice to meet you two!" Red also began introducing the group. "I suppose we should find another inn to stay at then."

[Al]

Penguin took his hand and shook it. "My name is Penguin and this big guy is Pengo" said Penguin while gesturing towards Pengo, "Well, I heard there was an inn across town I don't know the exact location since I just got here, but I heard some talk about it. Anyways I just hope they allow pets because I don't go anywhere about Pengo since he saved me life."

I shivered. It was getting cold outside. "Well," I started, "Why don't we hurry inside and see?" I walked towards the door.
