~Dawn of Darkness RP~

[DanteEX]

I landed on one foot. "Whoa!" I screamed as I started to tilt over. My arms waved in the air trying to balance myself. Luckily, it worked, I had both feet on the tile. "Now what?" I asked.

[red.yoshi]

Red didn't answer, staring at his sword as he proceeded a few more tiles north east. A trail of the blue light followed him like a trail as he stepped off of each tile. He stopped when the symbols didn't match the pattern on his sword. He looked over at Shy Guy, and described the next few tiles on his sword. "Do you see any that look like that?" He called from five or six tiles away.

I stared at the ground looking for the tiles matching Red's description. I found one only two tiles over. I hopped over to it. I looked around and saw the third tile Red described, but I didn't see the second. I bent my head back, and saw the tile on the ceiling. "Huh?" I looked over to everyone else.

Red stared up, noticing a few tiles scattered on the ceiling. "How are we suppose to get those?" he stammered, shocked. He looked around for something to throw, but it would need a weight to push it down. He looked around thoughtfully and his eyes then landed on Buu. "Can you carry objects, Buu?"

"Yeah." Buu answered. "Why?"

[red.yoshi]

"Could you possibly carry Shy Guy up to hit that tile?" Red pointed at the ceiling. "Or are you unable to?" Red thought hard about the situation. If she couldn't lift Shy Guy, he hoped Shy Guy might have a scroll left that grants something that might help her lift him or something else that could help them reach the tile.

I watched Buu float over to me. She made sure her tail didn't brush on the floor. "What are you doing?" I asked. She grabbed me around the waist, and started floating up as fast as she could. When she was near the ceiling, she twisted me upside down, so my feet touched the ceiling tile. Then she gave in and I fell onto the third tile I saw earlier. I landed hard and it made me cry out in pain. Buu was over on the first tile. "What's the next tile look like?" I asked in a hoarse voice.

Red looked at the blade of is sword. The symbols, the one they had stepped on, where glowing. He looked ahead of him and noticed that the consecutive tiles branched off in different directions. Then he looked at Liko. "We'll need to split up" he said silently. He hopped the next few tiles before Liko had a chance to reject and pull him to her. Liko reluctantly hopped her tiles. Red looked back at Shy Guy, describing the next tiles. "Do any of those look right for you?" he asked as he squinted, thinking he could see the dim light of a torch on the other side of the tile room.

I glanced at another ceiling tile first. None of them were similar so I checked the ground. It was about three tiles away. I leaped to it while Buu came up behind me. "I'll go see if there's an exit ahead." I watched Buu float down till she disappear. I turned around and shrugged. About thirty seconds later Buu came back without her hat. "Hitchargo's goons are up ahead! They stole my hat, and since there's sunlight ahead I can't go any farther." I sighed and sat down. "Can I use your cloak?" She asked. "No way," I said sharply." I need it!." "Why, hiding something?" I shook my head. "Go back to the entrance and find something to wear over your head." She floated back to where the drawings were. "How you guys holding up?" I shouted to Red and Liko.

"Pretty good!" Responded red. Liko was shuddering on a tile a few yards away. He stepped on a few more tiles, running out of symbols on his sword. He took the piece of cloak, but couldn't see any of the tiles around him that looked familiar. "Do you notice any of these, Shy Guy?" Red hollered over, describing as best as he could the symbols on the cloth.

"Yeah." I responded. "But it's on the ceiling..." I looked back for Buu. "I guess we don't have time to wait for her. What should I do?"

[red.yoshi]

"Ugh.." mumbled red, looking at where Shy Guy was. He seemed so far away. He hopped onto a trail of tiles that he had previously stepped on, leading towards him. "Can you point to me where the tile is?" He asked as he approached, almost stumbling. "Maybe if you shrink yourself, I'll be able to throw you up, and you can grow large with still enough momentum to break the tile in."

I reached into my tunic and pulled out two scrolls. One was fire breath and the other was the shrinking scroll. I destoryed the scroll in my hand which caused me to shrink. I seemed smaller than before since I was in a bigger room. I started going towards Red, stepping in the cracks between the tiles. I took a big leap onto Red's shoe.

Red gingerly lifted Shy Guy up into the palm of his hand. "I know its hard to choose where you land, but try to land near either me or Liko so we can catch you." Red looked over to Liko, and she nodded. Red cocked his arm, and then flung Shy Guy with an immense force, hoping he timed this right so he wouldn't squash like a fly. Red couldn't help but wince as his small buddy sped through the air.

When you're small, everything seems a lot slower. It felt like hours until I reached the tile on the ceiling. Before I touched it, I spun my body the other way, I wasn't sure if my feet had to touch it or not. My feet softly hit the tile, it was success. I started falling slowly to the ground. I tried to push myself toward Red or Liko, but it was tougher than it looked. I couldn't move in the air. "SOMEONE CATCH ME!!!"

Liko outstretched her trembling hands. She was trying to position them right to catch the tiny Shy Guy without hurting him. Red ran towards her, careful of following the path of tiles he had already stepped on.

Liko just barely caught Shy Guy. She let out a deep sigh. "That was close. . ." She murmured. Red got there a second too late on a few tiles opposite her, he too breathing in relief. He glanced quickly at the cloth and at the tiles ahead. "It looks sort of straightforward from here. . .It must be some kind of trap though." Red started to walk on the next tile. "I mean, come on, who would make this so easy from here on..." Red's breath caught in his throat as he spotted the tile next to the one he had just stepped on - the correct tile. He lifted his foot off of the tile he had just stepped on, but realized he should be worrying about something else other than the red color the tile illuminated. "Duck!" shouted red. "Red!!" cried Liko, swords and arrows whizzing past red's sides, skimming his black cloak. Red crouched, then attempted a back flip as an arrow whizzed from the sky straight for him. "Arrgh!!" an arrow hit him in the shoulder as he slid through the air. He needed to land on the right tile. He looked down over his good shoulder, trying to find the next one on the cloth. He gulped as he made his descent.

"Thanks, Liko." I said. Then I jumped down to the floor, an arrow almost hitting me on the way down. I climbed onto Red's shoulder to the the next tile. Then I started to feel strange, so I jumped off and ended up growing back to normal size. I noticed some arrow stuck in the ground. I collected them to use for my bow.

Luckily, red landed on the correct tile. A final sword whizzed by him, and he caught it. Strangely, it crumbled in his hand. He let the hilt fall and skid over a couple of tiles, too light to press them in. Red trembled in shock. "Is everyone OK?" he asked, reaching for the cloak map. This part was going to be difficult as he needed exact features. Each two rows of tiles looked almost identical with slight misconceptions. He hopped two tiles to the next one and crossed his fingers. But the tile lighted blue.

I felt the room start to shake. peices of the ceiling start to crumble down. "Wha-what's happening?" I asked. Then the floor had three big cracks down the middle seperating all three of us. Next thing I knew a giant hole appeared between all three of us. We were all seperated. Once my mind got back into reality, I looked down the crater. Pitch black. "What now?" I asked. I noticed Red was on the right side. He had a chance to get out...

"Oh no!" Cried red, quickly running across tiles, only caring for his life. They started lighting red. "Foolish red!!" he screamed, holding his arm so tightly, giving himself welts from the clench. He spotted Liko, but the room seemed to be shifting and she was traveling further away. "Red!" she screamed, tears in her eyes. He made a hop to the area where Shy Guy stood, his fingers barely gripping the edge. More swords and arrows whizzed past him, ferocious monsters sounding below. He concentrated on lifting his own strength. "Maybe. . .just maybe I can get to Liko in time. . ." he thought aloud.
