Mario music, for sure. Even people who aren't gamers can recognize and dance to the tunes. And like 10% of my iPod is Mario music.

I really cant choose between Zelda and Kirby XD. I dont play Kirby games much, but the music still amazes me! and Zelda has the perfect tune set up for each instrument that joins in the melody (especially the Lost Woods theme).
Ill have to go with Zelda for right now though, because it looks like it needs more votes ^^.

Oh, man... so many choices... MIYAMOTO SENSES TINGLING... I CAN'T CHOOSE-- *explodes*
Ok, I love almost any music from Nintendo games, but I'll have to vote for the Mother series! Especially Mother 2 (a.k.a. EarthBound)! Well, all the music from Mother is catchy, but meh!
*bobs head up and down to Giygas's Battle theme (punk-metal)*
Zelda gets my second vote and Metroid gets a bronze medal! XD
...don't sue me if you find this offensive... ._.' Heh... kidding!

I like them all, really, but I guess I have to say that Donkey Kong Country music touched my heart the most.

Exactly. That basically sums up my mindless rambling. I wish I had the ability to do that/actually make large posts worth reading. ;.;

Zelda music. So easy to remember, like the theme from inside the Forest temple in OOT.
Such great music. Or the Molgera theme from the Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker. I just saved a file of that part to hear the music while I play. XD

Oh this is a hard choice. I can knock it down to two sets of game music, but I don't know what I like more.
Hmmm... I love the Yoshi Island music and a lot of the music from other Super Mario games, but I think I'll have to go with the music from the Zelda games. I don't know what it is, but I really like that music. I have many songs on my computer right now. Most of it orchestrated. Then I also have a rock tune that is a mix of several Zelda songs. I like that one. Well anyway, I like the adventures theme I guess. I love bright and cute, but I guess it depends on my mood. I like Zelda stuff more right now. heh

I'd go with Zelda music. Without question, I suppose I have always thought that was my favorite of the series, but Yoshi and Kirby themes come in second, and a very close second.

I choose the Mario games. For more choices, i would choose F-Zero Games. I love the soundtrack of F-Zero GX.

I have to select only one? *pouts*
I guess my tastes lean more towards Squeenix than Nintendo, though Koji Kondo is a genius and other contributors have also done well. I guess this is evidenced by the fact I have the Piano Solo Arrangements for FF7, Chrono Trigger, Seiken Densetsu (that's Final Fantasy Adventure, Secret of Mana and Seiken Densetsu 3) and Legend of Mana, though I'll get my hands on the Chrono Cross one once I get more into the game. I also have the PSA for Wind Waker (and it's probably the nicest book of the five I have). Nintendo tunes tend to be simplistic yet effective - you can't beat them for melody. However, what's inspired me more as a composer has been Squaresoft music, with a bit of Quintet and Rare.
It's summed up best in the introduction music for my website - the DTYvK Productions Theme, if you will. It's a four-bar phrase that's derived from one of my earlier works, Op. 15 The Cyan Arc, and modified slightly - the melody's the same in the two, but it's the harmony that I'm focusing on in my explanation. Working backwards, the Productions Theme harmony is inspired by Schala's Theme from Chrono Trigger - in fact, it's the same key. In The Cyan Arc, the same harmonic pattern is there, except moved up on the scale - it's in the second section, which is a variation on the four chord motif common throughout the piece. That motif is inspired by the Final Fantasy VII Prelude. After this variation, there's a variation of the variation which has an inspired harmony from the Castle Theme (whatever its real name is) from Donkey Kong Country 2.
If you're not lost, well done. XD;
