I'm suprised that we don't have one of these polls yet...
Anyway, which would you prefer guys? Would you prefer...
Stamina/Health/HP - "Come on guys, i still got loads of energy left!" MP/TP - "Is this the 479th time i've casted without replenishing Mana?" Strength - "One-hit kills ftw!" Defense - "Ow, that... never hurt really actually..." Accuracy - "Right between the eyes!" Mental Strength/Intellect - "Been studying a lot have we?" Evasion - "Nuh nuh nu-nuh nuh, you can't hit me!" Speed - "Geez, keep up..." Luck - "Oh, i won the lottery... again..."
... or do you have one that i've -possibly- missed out?
For me, there's nothing better than having a huge HP number. I like to accompany that with a great Defense load too, but if i had to pick one, it would be Stamina.
Ok, your turn. =3

I've never liked RPGs Mario RPG was an excpetion, so I'll have to go for strength.

I'm sometimes into defense, but also in strength and speed, it depends on who am I facing, but sometimes(Mostly) I try Magic.

You guys are all a bunch of barbarians XD
I'll go for smarts this time, since no one's picked it yet.
As Ice said, you need all of them. But I'd really like to know how I should hit someone rather than where or just bashing their face in... although that's fun too sometimes.

Magic. Sure, it seems a bit shallow... blast stuff with super powered spells, but it's deeper than that. Some spells in certain games have a whole history, and sometimes there's a whole type of magic dedicated to a single people. Gnome, human, ogre, ancient, lunar, elven. In fact, lots of spells in games and books have a backround of sort.
Doesn't mean I don't like the kick tush power it's provided for some games. Paper Mario 2, the Zelda's (especially ice arrows), Yoshi, Runescape (freezing people is fuuuun), Dying Earth (book), Spyros, and stuff like that.
Alright, I DO like freezing stuff... hey, if you freeze stuff, it can't hit you. (Unless it's got a bow or launchable spines. In that case, you're dead anyways)

Evasion for sure. You can't damage anything if you can't hit it.

Speed/Evasion (For me it's the same thing). Strike first, strike many times.

Definitely MP/TP for me.. Apart from being a fan of FF and the Tales series,((Especially the Tales series ^^') I fancy myself a bit of a healer and ice mage, at least in RP.. So I'd want to get as high an MP stat as possible to be able to continue doing my part while using as few restorative items as possible
Although I can't deny the appeal of 'stache points.. >>

The more mental strength/intelligence you have, the stronger your magic spells etc. Which means you can stand back, shrug your shoulders and the enemy's dead.

Accuracy. I hate that "miss" factor, it always screws up my combat math.

Accuracy for the win, seriously. Strength means nothing if you batter and batter against a skilled opponent, but if you strike that weak point...
