Well, knowing about this forum and how the main thing it's centered on is a creation of Nintendo, I can say that'll be ranked the highest of the two. I, however, differ from most people here. It's the PS3 for me, no matter what problems may occur. Nintendo doesn't offer me the games I enjoy playing most (Main FF series (other Square games as well), Gran Turismo, Nascar, and some others)

Oh, the choice is obvious for me. I grew up playing the NES and SNES. The N64 has games that hold some of my greatest memories with friends, and the Cube delivered what may be my favorite game of all time (SSBM), so obviously, Nintendo fanwolf for life. Go Wii! LEVEL UP ! !

Wii for mii, please
I'm definitely looking more forward to the Wii, especially since the only games on the PS3 I'm interested in much at all are the FFXIII titles and Sonic.. Maybe another day, but for now I'm definitely wanting a Wii
Then again, anyone who saw my large thread of Wii info would know that my vote was obvious >_>';
Also, Yonie, I commend your guts for being honest here XD Hopefully you'll enjoy what you get, even if it's not what I'd get ^^

I command Yonie to be burned at the stake by dawn! D:
No, just kidding XD
I'll have to go with the Wii here, probably because of the sole reason that there is one thing in my life that cannot be forgotten.
"It's-a me, Mario!"
And, on top of that, more Nintendo-specific franchises interest me more than some others that might be found on the PS3. I never really got into Final Fantasy. Give Mii some Wii, foo'.

Yeah I'll take a Wii. Lets not forget that the PS3 will retail for 599 US dollars.
I don't even have 599 US dollars.

With such a high price tag the PS3 isn't even on my radar screen, however with it's innovative controller the Wii is!

well the Wii is more in my budget seeing as if I wanted either I would obivously only be able to get the wii (considering the price of the PS3 D: ) I was always brought up in a place where Platstations won and No one liked Nintendo, there for after having my nintendo thrown out (¬_¬) I've had a PS2 ever since, I would really like a PS3 I might get one in the future, but right now, I'm going for the Wii.

The PS3 will be what the Betamax Video Recorder was in the 70's, a failure, despite being more superior to VHS. Want another shock fact? The Betamax format was invented by Sony. Coincidence? Wii for me. At least that'll allow me a system similar to XBox Live (Single sign-in for all games). I mean, come on, the fact that Sony are keeping to having a game ID for each and every game, instead of one ID for all games, it's like Betamax all over again. No, I don't hold much hope for the Blu-Ray format either, other than an extremely good way to back up your hard drive. I don't see movies being ported to Blu-Ray any time soon, DVD will be around for quite a while longer. By any margin, Blu-Ray is not cheap, so don't expect the PS3, or any blu-ray player to drop in price soon. As for Blu-Ray recorders, wait 4 years for the technology to drop in price. It took 8 years for CD burners to drop from their $250 price tag, maybe more, to today, where you can pick up a decent one for $60, probably less.

Well, I'm mainly hoping to get the Nintendo Wii, though I might get the PS3. Sadly, I might not be able to get neither anytime soon...

Wii mii!
Ok, so that pun has been used three times now, screw you!
The PS3, never much liked Playstations, sure they have some good stuff, but I ain't a fan. PS3 is nothing new 'cept slight improvement. Not worth $600 and to be played well it seems you need a HD and Bluray TV (about $2000) and I haven't got that money. People who'll buy it will either save for eons or have the money to get one.

as an MB based off of nintendo, I knew the results before clicking on the link.
However, I have to go for the PS3 for this one ^^. Its just spectacular, sure, its got its negative aspects, but so does every other system. Ive been a Sony fan from the beginning, and until something totally screws up on me (which it hasn't yet), I will be one for quite a while ^^.

I have to go with the Wii. I lurve Nintendo and it's only recently that I've gone into the PlayStation games. I've always been a good ol' Nintendo fan though. With the PS3's high prices, the Wii is definately a better choice for me, since I complain about prices regardless if I have to pay for it. LEVEL UP ! ! I yell at my mom for getting something really expensive even if it's for me. >_>;; So, yep.. Also, Twilight Princess. Enough said. XD

I'm a die-hard Nintendo fan, I hate Sony, and the games for the Wii are going to be a lot better, in my opinion. This poll is hardly even fair, hahah.
Freakin' Zelda, maaan. Zeeeeeldaaaaaa... Double-scoop ice cream

Wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii love the Wii!
Definately the Wii. If I had to choose another system aside from the Wii, it would probably be an Xbox, by the way. The PS3, from what I know, is probably the least.. evolved, hardwarewise, compared to the Wii. Not sure about Xbox, but yeah. I've heard their hardware is hard to design for, is expensive like hell, and just.. not that great. One or all of those three.
My memory is pretty bad, by the way.
The PSX/2 didn't have an incredible amount of games I really liked. The ones I liked the most were really for the PSX, anyway (see also: Spyro and Crash). Drakan was cool and all, so were the Jak series, but there wasn't much there. I'm into action games more than puzzles and RPGs and the like. The previous Nintendo consoles offered games that catered to my platformer/action type taste in games, so I like them better. They also proved to have better controllers.
But really, I think that the most important thing about a system is in its games. Not its graphics or capabilities, but its games. I still think 2D sidescrollers are AWESOME. And if a game system had the best graphics, hardware, and all that of ALL TIME. And was really cheap and all that, I'd still think it was rubbish if all it had were titles such as: "Solitaire." And. "Checkers." And also. "Tetris." Lawl Tetris.
So yep. Wii for moi.

You never let me down when it comes to videogame selection! Looks like we both will be burned at the stake by dawn as Strangie said. XD Yeah, I've been a Sony person since what feels like forever. The PS1 was me and my sister's first gaming system. We grew up playing classics like Rayman, Croc, Frogger, etc. And of course, we graduated as the newer systems and games came out.

I need a Wii to play Sonic games, lololololz. ...Yeah, that backwards compatibility will have me playing all my Gamecube games again... and I really want that. I miss all my Gamecube stuffs :<
And what Lazo said: "599 US dollars." I barely have 200 in my total savings, har har. And I've never, ever, ever owned any of Sony's game systems- yet I've had a Super Nintendo since as far back as I can remember. ...Wii. (Revolution still sounds better.)

And what Lazo said: "599 US dollars." I barely have 200 in my total savings Darn, I forgot to correct him!!! Actually there are two versions of the PS3. The $600 version has 80GB of internal memory. There is also a $400 version, this has 40GB of memory internally.
