Teal stood behind the group to pour some lantern oil on the tip of his spear. He put his knife and lantern away. He lit his spear on fire and went into his calm fighting stance. He slowly approached the attackers.

Syleena jumped back just as the bandit was about to thrust at her. "You are gonna have to be a whole lot quicker than that if you want me."

Yoshiken was able to better anticipate the lobbed axe this second time, and sidestepped accordingly. He quickly put the hand that was holding the flame closer to Karth. "Yeah, its magic. I don't know how your abilities work, but do whatever you have to do to take it. You would probably be more efficient with it anyways. Hurry though, because it looks like Syleena and Teal could use some help."
Yoshiken kept his eyes focused on the enemies.

"You guys are quite clever," Teal said to the koopas. "You may be good at engineering traps but are you good at close combat?"
Teal approached one of the halberd-wielding koopas and performed an upward swing with his flaming spear.

Syleena then lie in wait for the next one to come at her.

Greg aimed his bow and knocked on two arrows. The darkness made it a little bit more difficult for him to aim, and the bright fire distracted and confused his eyes from the dark figures. He shot at them anyways, hoping to land a hit.

When the next one came at her, Syleena sliced and diced him.

"Damnation! Shenanigans! I knew it!" Moot unpocketed his scythe and assumed a defensive position, aiming to parry any axes - swung or otherwise - that might happen to land his way. He advanced towards the front of the group in an attempt to take some heat from Karth and Yoshiken.
Moot called out to one of the attackers. "I don't suppose you scumbags know a magiturtle named Kyral by any chance? Don't happen to be on his payroll at all? We're kind of looking for him." Maybe if he kept running his mouth he'd be able to distract one of these guys long enough for them to let their guard down, but Moot knew that would have been an extremely long shot.
((nitrostraggler you know you don't have to get in almost every other post in this thread, right? Why not add some actual detail instead of just single sentences?))

Syleena waited for another one to come at them, staring them down and jumping back. She cleaned her dagger off and let it glimmer in the candlelight. Then she backed up ready to strike if needed to.
(I struggle at adding details. Yes, I like to RP, but I'm not that good at adding details and I try. But its not like I have much practice with it. >_>)

(Whoa, whoa, let me get in a post here! Yes, I'd rather you make single, more detailed post than shotgunning after every other person. The point of me posting only once a day is to let everybody get a chance to post and react to the situation.)
The second halberd wielder leaned back from Teal's spear attack, narrowly dodging it but still singeing his face from the fire. He retorted with a low swing to his knees, then pulled the halberd back to try and trip him with the axe head whether the first shot connected or not. "You're about to find out the hard way!" he replied to Teal's statement.
Syleena's target, one of the dual hand axers, parried her shots by crossing his axes in front of him, making an impromptu shield. When she jumped back, he cut loose with both axes at once, throwing them both at her before quickly and efficiently drawing a new pair.
The other dual hand axer replied to Moot's question. "Kyral? He was the- GAH" Greg's arrow instead struck one of the hand axes he was holding, causing it to fall to the ground. "Ow... no, don't know what you're talking about!" He replied by whipping his other handaxe at Moot's face, the handaxe not being able to compete with Greg's bow range, but before he could draw two new ones, Slug made an advance on him with his club and swung for a homerun on his face. The Koopa bandit ducked, however, and drew two new axes and prepared to engage in close quarters with the... other bandit, yes.
Karth grabbed onto Yoshiken's wrist, swiping his fire magic right from him. It vanished from Yoshiken's hand and reappeared in Karth's fin. "Got it! This'll only work once until I steal it from ye again but this should let ye fight more effectively! Now go get 'em!" He fell back a little, letting the more capable melee deal with the stronger enemies as he tried to sneak around the edge to gain an advantage of the ensuing chaos.
The other halberder closed in on Yoshiken, pushing forward and giving a quick piercing strike toward his midsection with the spear head.

It wasn't easy for Teal to see exactly what was happening. Even though his flaming spear provided some light it was still difficult to see. The koopa managed to cut Teal above the knees and trip him making him fall on his back. "Uah!" He saw the koopa attempt to stab him in the chest but he deflected the halberd up by holding his spear sideways below the halberd when it came and quickly lifted it up. Teal attempted to kick the koopa if he advanced close enough.

Syleena jumps onto a rock and dives at them, trying to get a disabling shot. She shields herself with her right arm. She was hoping to arm for their chests and stares intently at her target and where she wants to stab him.

The halberder had a range advantage that kept Teal from kicking him, though Teal had managed to block the follow through strike successfully. "Now I got ya right where I want-GAAAAAH!" The Koopa suddenly lurched forward, bringing one up behind his neck, where Karth had driven his dagger in a sneak attack, standing on the back of his shell.
"Come on, lad! On yer feet!" Karth called out to Teal.
The dual axer facing Syleena swung both axes in front of him, one axe arming for her arm in front of her and the other aiming for her face. Either way, it would get messy, as they were both in reach of each other. These guys were relatively strong, too, the halberders in particular, so when they hit, it hurts, plenty.

Teal got back onto his feet, blood began to run down his knees from where he was cut. "Thank you sir," Teal said respectfully to Karth. He looked down at the koopa who had fallen in front of him and looked at his halberd. He picked up the halberd and threw it a good distance away and then approached the other halberder who probably has his attention on Yoshiken. By now he is trying harder to see his opponents and with more success. Teal was more into the battle at hand and got ready for anything that may come his way.

Moot replied to the axe wielding Koopa, half attempting to throw him off his game some more, but also to try and wrangle some more information out of him, if he didn't get knocked out first. "So you do know him then? Good friends? Know of any shady dealings we should be aware offfFFFF --" He got cut off by the handaxe coming straight at him, which he mostly countered by shifting to the right out of the path of the flying weapon, slamming into the cave wall. At least he thought he dodged it, the blade managed to make a neat slice on his left shoulder which he wasn't instantly aware of.
Moot slid around the Koopa in an attempt to flank him while Slug went to town on his face, while trying to stay out of reach of the halberd wielding guys. As quick as Moot was, he didn't plan on getting laid out from a surprise blow from one of those heavy weapons. "What is it with you guys throwing weapons everywhere? You all got butterfingers or something?" While he was on the Koopas side, he swung his scythe in a low arc, attempting to take his targets legs out from underneath him, or at the least putting him off balance enough for Slug to get a solid shot in.
Moot noticed some blood tricking down his left arm, with any luck the wound on his shoulder would have looked worse than it actually was, but now was not the time to be taking a good look at it. "Ah, damn it. That's going to leave a mark." He flicked the blood off of his hand, the last thing he wanted in this situation was to fling his scythe out of his hands thanks to a lousy grip.

Syleena swung around to avoid being hit in the face, but she turned so her back was visible so she got chopped in the back. "Agh! Not one of my best ideas. At least my spinal cord is intact." she flipped back around and tried to stab him in the stomach. She could feel the blood gushing under her shirt. "Well, my back is gonna be scarred." she tried to wipe the blood off of her hands and off the dagger while still trying to keep an eye on the axe-happy opponent.
(Don't ask about the account change.)

The Koopa that Syleena had attacked took a dagger to the gut, falling over backwards and landing on his shell, effectively immobilizing him for the most part.
The one Moot and Slug ganged up on took a double whammy, backflipping through the air before landing on his face.
The last Koopa, a halberder, decided to split after seeing his friends getting wiped out. "Holy crap!" He turned tail and fled down the cavern entrance, shouting. "These guys aren't normal! Warn everybody!"
"Oh, well that's just freakin' dandy..." Karth stated. "Come on, we've got to get the jump on Kyral!" He turned to the dazed Champ, swiping the tracking device. "Gimme that! I'll hook this on 'em and then maybe we can start workin' on a way out of here."
"Well, this is a bloody mess..." Slug said, and our NPCs (including Karth I guess) started booking after the fleeing bandit.

"Someone throw a dagger or shoot an arrow at him! We can't let him get away!" Teal shouted while running after the remaining koopa. Running made the flame on his spear go out but left the tip glowing orange. He nonetheless put it away so it wouldn't slow him down and he wouldn't be burned by the hot metal. The only thing apparently illuminating the cave was the flame Karth had which could affect one's accuracy if they tried a ranged attack.

"You can't outrun us bandit boy! We're in the best shape of lives You aren't getting away!" Syleena yelled at him as she sprinted like hell. She swung her arms back and forth to gain more momentum. She kept a sharp eye on the bandit. "If we throw something at him, we might end up killing him." Syleena panted to Teal as she tried to grab the bandit when she got close enough to him. After a while, she would start to lose speed and sweat. "You got to tire out sometime. We aren't going to let you get away." she said. She struggled to draw breaths and focused her energy on the koopa. "Just ignore the pain, and maybe it will go away." she thought to herself. "Just like gym class."

Greg went with the others to try and stop the koopa. He noticed that the Koopa's back was armored with a shell. If he could hit the Koopa on the shell with an arrow, he might be able to induce a trip and bring the Koopa to a halt without injuring him too badly. There was a chance that he could miss though, and a slight chance that he could aim too high and shoot the Koopa in the back on the head, which would kill him. Still, the shell was a fairly big target; Greg decided to take his chances. He took aim and launched an arrow, hoping it would hit the proper target.
