"He knows this cave better than us," Teal panted to Syleena. "I don't want to end up in another trap. I meant to disable him or slow him down. I rather take the risk of inadvertently killing him than being placed in a trap within a trap." Teal was beginning to slow down, feeling the effects of his injuries. He wondered how a turtle-like koopa would be capable of outrunning Yoshies.

Moot dashed off with the rest of the party after the fleeing bandit. "Sounds like we could have another fight on our hands if we let that guy get away." He noticed Greg firing off an arrow at the escaping Koopa, but couldn't see clearly enough to confirm if it had actually connected. "I'd rather we didn't kill him, if we can catch up we could press him on this Kyral guy. Gimme a minute here..."
Regardless of where the arrow had gone, Moot shot off at high speed leaving the rest of the group behind. He assumed he'd either find the Koopa flat on his face, meaning he'd only have to restrain him, or still on the run, in which case Moot would have tried tackling him to the ground. Of course there was the chance of running headlong into even more bandits, but that was secondary compared to getting some potential dirt on this Kyral character. He wasn't too sure that the rest of group would have considered it a secondary concern, though.

The Koopa had a headstart, but the group would eventually catch up. Eventually being the keyword, as none of you knew how long the cavern went. Before he could get far, the Koopa was struck in the upper shell area with Greg's arrow, causing him to stumble, and then Moot clobbered into his backside, faceplanting into the cavern floor from the combined strike. His large weapon was unusable in such close quarters.
"Nice catch, pal," Slug commented as he caught up.
"Ye got 'em, lad!" Karth jogged and caught up, holding up Yoshiken's flame still to illuminate the area.

Syleena finally managed to get up to the koopa and sat down, breathing very heavily. "My God. What are you? An Olympian runner? I think I'm having a heart attack." she gasped between breaths. As soon as she was able to get her bearings back, and the cave stopped spinning, she got up and went over to him. "Its obvious that you and the rest of your dishrag friends know something about Kyral. Tell us everything you know now. And don't lie, or you'll make us very angry." she said. She picked him up by his shoulders and spun him around so that he was facing the group and held him against the wall so he couldn't run.

Teal stopped for a moment to catch his breath while Syleena picked up the koopa and held him against the wall. He cautiously picked up any dropped weapons that were near the koopa and tossed them away implying that he may have made a mistake leaving weapons near apparently fallen enemies before. Teal brought out his spear and pointed the searing hot glowing orange end at the koopa's face. "You better tell us what we want to hear....unless you want to be branded for life." Teal looked in the scared koopa's eyes. "You seemed less than willing to fight back there...you have a lot to lose don't you. Perhaps this bandit life is a 'secret life' of yours...If you are branded in the face you would never be able to hide your violent secret life."

The Koopa writhed around, trying to get his face away from the spear. "Ah! Don't burn my face off! I like my face! Gah... okay, okay... you guys win... you're not normal, are you? Yeah... yeah, there's a guy named Kyral here... he's in the back of the cave... and no, you're right, I don't want any part of this anymore. Guy's gotta make a living somehow, huh? Just... just let me go. I can't guarantee your safety past this point, though. There's a few more guys down the end of this corridor and Kyral's somewhere in there. If you can sneak around you might be able to find him without tipping anybody off..."

"I suggest you find some other kind of work...and you're smart to spill the beans to us...no one likes getting their face burned off that's for sure. Although I think you kind of wet yourself..." Teal put his spear away and started to wrap bandages around his own injuries. "Now is anyone else hurt? If we're going to be sneaking around, letting yourself bleed all over the place may be a bad idea. I'll patch you up really quick."
Ever since the group entered the cave, Teal seemed to have become very serious. To the point where he acts like a different person. Those who are used to traveling probably wouldn't say anything but anyone curious probably would.
(For the next few weeks I might not be as active because I'll be on a road trip. I'll probably only log in using my cell phone.)

Syleena dropped him down on his face and put his dagger away. "Now get the hell out of here! You make me sick!" she brushed herself off and rubbed her head. "So. It looks like we have our guy. He's in the back of the cave." Syleena looked over her shoulder to the others. "So Champ, tell us what the plan is gonna be?" she turned around to face him. "At least I hope that you have a plan." Ever since she partnered up with Champ, she had a feeling that he was keeping something from them. She wiped the sweat off of her brow. "So do you have any sort of plan?"

(I kind of want to hold up on posting for a bit, because some people have not posted yet. If you are one of those who have not posted recently, or more accurately, since the last time I posted, could you please do so before I continue? I'll give you a day or two to do so. Thanks and I apologize to everyone else for the delay.
And that's alright, Teal. I believe this is the last week before Yoshee comes back to manage this thing and though I did want to get through this part before she did, well, we'll see what happens.)

"Well, that's that, I suppose. So it looks like we're going to have go in there all stealthy, like, unless we went to broadcast to everyone that we're on our way in." Moot paused for a second to scrape off some of the dried blood from his shoulder, which for the most part had stopped oozing by now, despite having shoulder barged the Koopa to the ground. "I don't know about you people, but I've had enough fighting for a while."
Moot took a quick look down the corridor, not spying any light sources or anything to indicate how many guys might be waiting for them on the gloom up ahead. He didn't hear anything particularly out of the ordinary, which didn't mean a whole lot since they could simply be too far away for the sound to travel, or that they might not have been making any noise anyway. "If we are going for the stealth option, you might want to consider letting me go first, since I have the luxury of not making any footsteps to be heard. Also might want to put out that flame, too. That thing would light us up like a christmas tree in here." ((presuming the torch is still lit))

(I am really, really sorry about not posting for the last 4-5 days. I had to go to California over the weekend because of some urgent family business that came up. I should have said something before I left, but my mind was on other things, and I guess I forgot.)
Yoshiken was left in the dust as the rest of the group attempted to catch up with the previous assailants. He finally caught up when one was being harshly questioned. He listened to the koopas words, and then to the responses of everyone else.
"I agree with Moot. We can't afford to be seen or heard too soon, especially since Kyral can leave in a blink of an eye. Don't expect me to move ahead quickly though if the flame is put out," Yoshiken stated, gripping his sword tightly.

"What? Stop saying plan. Sneak in there like we just talked about. There's not much to it, you stealthy types should be able to handle it just fine, though chances are they might already know we are here considering we triggered their trap door..." Champ said as he rubbed his chin.
"Aye... so ye want me to douse this here fire, then? Once I do, I can't git it back until I steal another from someone..." Karth asked.
The Koopa huddled up against the wall, apparently not wanting any part of this anymore. His halberd lay on the floor in front of him, free for the taking for anybody else. It was actually of good quality, though that was about the extent of its abilities. There was nothing inherently magical about it or any of the other weapons scattered across this part of the cave.

Syleena sighed then looked over at Champ. "So once we are in there, we just grab him? That doesn't sound like it will work. Especially if Kyral already has a plan for us, which I think he does." Syleena grabbed her dagger and pointed it away from people so that they wouldn't end up stabbed as they went in there. She looked back over to the koopa. "Hey. Are you alright?" she asked as she gave him a look. "Aren't you gonna come in with us? You are gonna need to defend yourself if you come in with us." she said then looked down to his halbert, though she decided against taking it.

"Good of you to join us." Teal jokingly said to Yoshiken. Then he turned towards the koopa. "I'm not sure if we should give him a weapon. Especially in the dark he might still be tempted try something. We are still in enemy territory you know." Teal picked up the halberd that was on the ground and placed it on his back alongside the spear. "I'll still hold onto this though just in case. I'll give it to him if you think I should."
Teal didn't do so well in the darkness. He has a fear of not being able to see but he put up with it. Occasionally bumping into someone.

Greg used the walls of the cave to maneuver deeper into the cave, following the rest of the group. he kept three arrows out, two in his bow hand, and one on the string. He realized that no was able to see him. This worried him a little; he would have no ways of communicating until they could all see again.

"Nah, lass, I'm gonna plant this trackin' bug on 'em. We just gotta sneak in there and find 'em. Not like we can turn back now, anyway." Karth said as he pointed forward. He shook his fin, removing the flame to avoid giving himself away. "We'll just have to make due with what we got, lads. Come on, now..."
(Alright, here's the thing. I'm not going to be here this weekend, and unfortunately I'm not very comfortable with going forward at this point because I want this next part to be of Yoshee's design. So for now we're going to wait here until Yoshee comes back on Monday or Tuesday and pick up from there. Is everybody alright with that? I can trust you're not going to abandon the RP after a few day hiatus or anything? I will find you if you do. >:C)

"I just hope that I can see out of here without hurting myself badly." Syleena said. She decided to grab on to someone to have somebody guide her. "Lets see what I can grab onto her." she grabbed onto Teal without knowing or seeing who it was. "Whoever I'm touching, please help me here. I can barely see anything." she closed her eyes and breathed deeply as she tried to keep her balance. "This should be an Olympic sport. Along with running in high heel shoes." Syleena mumbled. She tried to look around to see if the koopa was following but it was futile since she couldn't see a damn thing.

Teal felt someone grab onto him. He reacted by tensing up but then he heard Sylenna whisper to him. "Okay Ill help you out," he whispered back. He continued forward.

(Alright guys, thanks for sticking around. I'm going away for the weekend. Next update, Yoshee will be your guide again. I hope you had fun while I was managing things, even if we didn't get a terrible amount accomplished.
Got some violence in though!)
