Teal stepped into the cave and wiped the excess water off him. Luckily for him he doesn't have any fur and just has smooth yoshi skin. He put his jacket back on and looked over to Moot and said, "If the fights have picked up since I joined...you could say I'm a magnet for trouble. I got in that fight because they wanted my golden spear I had at the time. I ended up scaring them off."
Teal got off any excess water that was on his own tail. Afterwards he curiously watched his tail slowly move left and right.

Champ fiddled with the tracking device. It beeped in protest at his clawing, but he eventually got the display to light up. "Hah!" He held it out for everyone else to see. The gun-like device's screen showed a map of the region- the Mushroom Kingdom and a ways out beyond its borders. The tiny blip showing Kyral's location was already far out west of the Kingdom, deep in the mountain range that marked its border.

"Ach... we've got a long ways to go, methinks. I hope we can find a better way of gettin' there than havin' to walk...."
(Sorry folks, I'm gonna be out this weekend, until Monday evening. Happy Fourth of July!)

Champ shrugged. "We probably don't want to pull too much attention to ourselves. But I don't really wanna walk all that way again either." Slug rubbed his chin thoughtfully. "Left m'bike back at home. Any ideas?"

Moot had already shoved himself into the cave - more of a dent in the hillside than anything else - and busied himself with trying to dry off, despite the fact that the rain was blowing back into the cave thanks to the storm outside. He decided he was going to stay drenched for the time being.
"Maybe those bandits back there have some transport we could, uh, borrow? And when I say borrow, I mean steal, obviously. I don't fancy our chances of going in there and asking for a lift." Moot peered over at the tracking devices map screen. "Judging by the scale on thing that we're already a fair distance away from this Kyral guy. Even then, I don't how we'd get any transport up and into those mountains there..."
He looked out at the rain for a second, before remembering something else. "Also, what is there to stop him just warping off again like back in there? If he can just teleport out again we're going to have a hell of a job catching him." Moot huddled back into the cave to try and avoid any more rain that might be blown in.

(I will be heading down to Mexico this weekend to camp out at a beach. This means that starting tomorrow night I will have no internet connection whatsoever.)
Teal looked up into the sky for a short while listening to the group's conversations. “We could take an off-road vehicle and drive into the mountain range...” Teal said then his face lit up like he remembered something. “Or maybe even an aerial vehicle...we could fly there. This may sound wild but I think I got here using a small aircraft of sorts. It can take off and land on most types of terrain kind of like a helicopter. I think I remember where it is and it is fairly close by here. It has a relatively quiet engine and the underside of it is painted a light color to make it difficult to see from the ground. However if you prefer we should commandeer a ground vehicle it's fine with me.”
Teal's face showed confidence but he knew he should let the group as a whole decide what to do next. He still wanted to help the group out somehow. “By the way...I noticed that not too many people use aerial vehicles in this part of the world. Don't worry I know how to pilot any vehicle you throw at me, flying or ground.”
“Now about Kyral's teleportation ability...Karth do you think you can steal that ability from him? I think I heard you talking to Yoshiken about a special ability of yours. I could be wrong though.” Teal said looking at Karth. “Alternately...perhaps we can somehow electrocute him at least briefly. That might disable his ability for a while. I've caught a bad guy who could do the same thing and it worked.” Teal seemed a bit surprised that he suddenly knows so much.

Champ and Slug turned to stare at Teal. Champ rubbed his chin. "Y'know... You might be onto somethin' there. That'll get us right close without a hassle, but I dunno if we could land deep in those mountains. It'd get us awful close at least." He smiled. "Show us after we get outta here."

"Huh?" Karth looked at Teal when his name was mentioned, and listened. He glanced between his teammates. "Oh... yeah. I probably could, actually, since teleportation is usually magic n' all of that. It'd be tricky, though... I'd have to catch him off guard to swipe it, and get close, and it would only work once until I steal it again, but I could operate it with the same amount of precision as Kyral does... it'd just be like if he were castin' it himself..." He rubbed his beak for a moment, raising a scraggly eyebrow. "Yeah... that's what I do, since we're talkin' about it. Y'ever heard of a spellthief, laddie? I 'borrow' powers from people... if they're willin', I don't have to slap 'em around, at least, though I doubt Kyral is gonna be very willin'. We'll figure out a plan once we find 'em again, methinks."

"I'd be glad to." Teal said to Champ. "By the way mister pacifist...you always seem disgusted with us and calling us 'butchers' every time we get into a fight. Do you not like the way us fighters handle things? When we are being attacked by enemies who threaten to attack and kill us with knifes, axes, and polearms...what do you expect us to do?" Teal crossed his arms.
"Having the ability to borrow someone's magic is a very useful move." Teal said to Karth. "Not only is it good strategically and offensively but also psychologically. Your enemies would have to think twice about using their powerful magic in a battle with you since you can use it against them. Having your own weapons being used against you is a fearful thought. I beg you to leave my healing aura alone. I don't know who cast it on me so I might not be able to replace it." He took a deep breath. "But if you are badly hurt...then I'd be willing to give it up." he whispers to Karth.
Teal sat down on a rock. "I hope no bandits have found my plane. They can't move it because I have the key and kill switch but I just hope it isn't trashed. Is anyone hurt by any chance? If anyone is bleeding I'll be able to patch you up."

"... ye have a healing aura? Uh... well, in that case, with things like that, the theft usually isn't permanent. I could take it from ya, ye'd probably be without it for a minute or so until it returns on its own... it kinda gets complicated when it involves things that ain't spells..."

Yoshiken huddled as close to the small cave wall as possible, trying to get himself out of the way of the rain. He overheard Teal explain ideas to catch Kyral.
"You are just full of surprises," Yoshiken stated. "If it has a chance of working though, then I have no objections. I wouldn't be surprised to find your vehicle busted up by bandits though, especially if it is large enough to be seen from a distance. How big is this thing anyways? Will it be able to fit all of us even if it is in one piece?"

"Heh...You can say that again. ^ ^" Teal scratched the back of his own head. "I even surprise myself." He looked up as he thought about Yoshiken's questions. "Well it's the size of one of those Black Hawk helicopters if you heard of them in this neck of the woods. Big enough where I can squeeze all of you in. There's 2 seats up front and there's a bench on either side of the cargo area."

Champ frowned and folded his arms as the group spoke, then held up a finger. "See, that's just the thing," He smirked. "You split us up into 'us' and 'them'. Nobody's on just one team. Most people can be reasonable. They just happen to be carrying weapons. Just... like... you." He scowled, showing his teeth. "That whole ball back there is kinda disturbing, though. If they just wanted a party they would have held it in the city..." He paused. "You're still not off the hook though." Slug raised a brow. "Ol' Slug thinks yer givin' bandits too much credit there, guys. Or maybe too li'l. We ain't prone to random violence. Jus' pickin' things up and forgettin' t'put 'em back down."

Teal looked at the spear and halberd that were both slung on his back and his knife in its scabbard on his left side. "Eh...I'd like to see you deal with some baddies," he said to Champ. "So...I'm not off the hook? What are you talking about?"
"Well I guess nothing should have happened to my plane. I've only been here for a few days." Teal leaned his back against the back wall and rested his eyes. "Awaken me when it's time to leave."

Champ narrowed his eyes. "I don't," He held up his claws as airquotes, "Deal with some baddies." He showed his teeth in a sneer when Teal simply went to sleep. "Calm down, kiddo..." Slug said. "I think th'rain is lettin' up." "Great." Champ threw up his arms. "Just what I need. I'm taking a walk before we leave. Stay here." He slid out into the downpour, practically throwing the tracking device at Slug. Slug caught it easily, watched him leave, then turned to stare at everyone else. "So, uh... Y'guys havin' fun? Champ said yer almost all old adventurers. Sorry if ol' Slug ever took a swing atcha back then."

"Maybe the problem with us 'fighters' sorting things out, is that fighting is the only way anything seems to get sorted out in this group. Diplomacy is dead, I tell you." Moot looked up for a second, before adding something else. "Not that I'm not guilty of that either, but still. It's nice to be able to talk your way out of something for a change instead of one guy ending up in a black bag."
Moot took a quick look out at the weather, which looked like it was changing for the better. If he was going to have to trek up into some mountains he'd rather not do it while totally soaked. Deciding the weather wasn't particularly interesting, he turned his attention back to the group crammed into the cave. "Well, I'm having about as much fun as can be expected. Makes a fair change from having maniacs wanting to skin me alive, anyways. Wouldn't say I'm much of an adventurer, as much as somebody who has adventures thrust upon them." Moot pondered for a while if that sentence actually made any sense or not, before thinking it probably didn't matter anyway.
"So about those bandits, is there any particular reason they'd all group together like that? I thought they'd have grouped in smaller gangs, unless that magiturtle has some business with them, or something."

"Z...z...z" Teal was still sitting on the flat rock with his back against the wall. He had his arms crossed and his eyes shut. He had placed his backpack and his polearm weapons next to him. Teal without his weapons and gear just looks like a peaceful yoshi who isn't much of an adventurer but looks can be deceiving.

"Probably won't know that til we find 'em ourselves..." Karth reaches into his vest and pulls out a small flask, and takes a drink from it. After a second, though, he stares into it disapprovingly. "Ah... cripe. I ran out of... 'tonic'. Oh, it's gonna be a really sad trip now, methinks..." He puts the flask away, removing his bandana and squeezing it to get some of the water out.
"Havin' fun? Bah. I dunno about that." He looked in the direction Champ walked away in. "... ye know, I can't help but wonder... I'll be right back, laddie. One thing my pa always taught me back when I was a wee lad - never split the party." He tried to sneak out after Champ, wondering where this 'walk' would take him.

(Sorry about me disappearing like that. We had family problems over here which resulted in a restraining order and arrest of my uncle, so I really couldn't find time to get on. Family drama is powerful. Am I still in the RP or have I been kicked off?)

(I'm sorry to hear that. Of course you can stay in. As long as you can give at least a little reason for your character being quiet, as most others do when they miss an action scene.)
Slug folded his arms. "Yea, heh. Learned about talkin' after some nasty, er, messages from th'League. The gatherin' is real queer. Kinda worries me." He frowned at Moot's guessing. "Ol' Slug thinks that could be it, though... Dunno what the Magikoopa wants with a buncha thugs though. Most of 'em are hard t'hire these days."
Champ had just stepped around behind the cave and stood in the rain silently, letting the water stream down his shoulders. He flicked an ear after a second and raised his head. "I don't like to be followed, y'know."
