If it was in the right place (and if I had a license and if it [the convention] was in PA), I could drive there; in a car, I could be in Lawrenceville, PA in about 30-40 minutes or so.

ok well! i think its time to unravel my idea! well!!
i was thinking of starting up some sort of donation program! where members could donate money via PayPal or something. Artists could do commissions to help with the money (Anjil said she would be willing to help by doing commissions). Now i know this might take like three years or something but i still believe it can work!
this worked for an MB i was on a while ago that had a idea that cost a bunch of money so they used donations to reach it, and i bet it could work for us!

That could probably work. It would take, like you said, three to four years to complete it; by that time, most people have graduated from high school, maybe college for other members, or close to graduating for younger members, and more people would probably have more freedom that right now, so more people could come.

There's also all the other video game conventions all over the country.
And I think all you need is to work at a game shop and admission to E3 is free.
