I was touched by red.yoshi's articles on his travels abroad, and think somehow...no matter how hard it would be, we need to make places for us to meet. I live in Wisconsin and my parents own a campground. I may not have been here long, or formed any serious relationships with and of you...but my place would work for nearby YC'ers to come to. It is a lake, for fishing...boating...swimming...hiking. We have an arcade, pavilion, store, beaches, campsites, showers, basketball, volleyball etc. Some of you could come to stay for a weekend. I'm sure it'd be fun! We should really organize places to meet and get together sometimes, while some of us have never met, our friendships wouldn’t match that fact! So let's discuss here how we could and where we could get together! While we may not all meet each other, we can still meet our nearest fellow posters. So what do you say? Let's try to do this...for real! Visit: www.lakejoy.com~*YC*~

That does sounds like a good idea, but... Well, how can some of us get there? Remember that some like Anjil and Yoshiken live in the west so it might be a little tough for everyone to have a chance to go. And some like PFY and Toshi live in UK, so it might be impossible unless they catch a plane. I live in Virginia so it would be easy, but my parents might disagree. Remember, only some of us can. But if it's possible to send some flyers in the mail, it could work.
Well, if possible, we need something like a shirt with a picture of our character or something to know who's who, or something that represents us like Yoshiken might wear his blue headband, I might wear my shoulder armor pad, and Tim might wear his hat, gloves, or cape. Well, if it's possible...but I think I need a little more info...

I seriously don't think this will work out. Travel is really expensive and I'm not sure everyone would even be able to come because of parents, school, jobs and other things that would use their time. It's a cool idea, but it's next to impossible to pull off.
BTW: I live in California

[explanation why this wouldn't work] 1) As lenient as my parents are, they wouldn't let me go. 2) I live in Upstate New York, and the nearest airport I would use don't give non-stop fights to Wisconsin. I would probably have to fly to Pittsburgh or Philadelphia first, wait around for 3 hours or so, then jump on another plane. 3) Bad timing. Some people are already in school, and others will start school soon. 4) That's a lot of money... More than what I got... 5) ...My parents wouldn't give that kind of money... [/explanation why this wouldn't work]

It's hard to have a Convention as others have said, and here while as we all know, "nothing is impossible" here at this board with its age limit we have no chance of ever it coming together with everyone. There are age limits on boards that do these things, most of us start from age 13,14,15,16 and then we skip all the way up to 18,19,20,21. The ones who could go if it happened are the ages in catagory 2 because they are legally adults and most parents, not all, respect their opinions. While those in catagory 1 are to young, most parents, not all, will be strict to what their children do. Sending them to a resort or city far away, would result in a big flat out no. Also we all have plans, as adults school is out of the way and you can choose together your times more wisely. I've only been to a Convention once from an online group, and everyone there was 2X my age.

The closest thing you could do would be to find someone that lives near you and meet them in person. Considering that a large portion of members here are quite young, a convention isn't exactly the best thing to work out.
Anyway, it'd be cool, but it just won't happen.

Gah XD I live around the West, too. My late great-grandma and great-great-aunt used to live there, but my parents would never let me do that anyways.

I've thought about it many times, but there are too many objections. Unfortunately, I myself am much too young to attend, though meeting you people in person would be...delicious.*bricked* Pun intended...

Key word: IF.
And yes, maybe those who are close to each other can meet.
As I said, I live in California, that's all I'm saying for now.

O.o I should have known...Yinyoshi... You're from Japan aren't you? No. I wish I was though. My dad has a weird resemblance to Jackie Chan. One time we were buying lunch and the cashier asked for my dad's autograph. XD
