Connected to your server, joined #yc I have . before my name - And can set topic!  Topic is 
I re-set up flashchat so it looks more like YC. URL is mechakoopa.servegame.org/chat/flashchat.phpI set up a bot too. When someone entered the room the bot will say the rule. At the moment, securty is lax, because I'm using IRCXPro and it's not a brilliant server. Well, it's fine, but I wan't to set up a server the hard way. I'll be installing Unreal3.2.1 later, so the security is built up a lot more. Java client is up. pinkfloydyoshi.com/irc/Scroll down that page for basic instructions. |

Strange, I was connected for about 2 minutes, get Peered then can't connect because of connection timeouts..

odd, I'm just getting Connection Refused errors now, with the applet and my regular client. Hm. That means the server's not binding to the internet IP. Right, I'll get IRCXPro up again. That only limits to 10 connections at any one time too. I may install 2000 on the server at some point to allow Ignitionserver to bind to all adapters. Still, I won't need to if the room doesn't prove to be popular. But if it does, I'll research into different methods. I'll shove IRCXPro up for now. Give me 10 minutes. Edit: Live... ...I'll turn the box off in 4 hours time and tommorow I'll give it a strip down and rebuild so it's ready to serve the connection 24/7 at least. Scheduled reboot every British Monday morning, while no-one's online. |

It's a little useful to go.
1. MechaBot will alert if someone posted in the board, in 2 minutes. (Look above)
For me, I'll minimize it and when someone posted.... Dingdingding!! Above is the picture when I went to school and come back home.
2. FortuneBot, the RPG bot.. Nothing, just random things
Example: A talked to FortuneBot, randomtext Rock Scissors Paper, it replies Paper
While B talked to FortuneBot, randomtext Rock Scissors Paper, it replies Rock
FortuneBot will chat in the chatroom too that who use the bot, and what is the result.

I have got my chat server up. Unreal3.2.3. yay.
As usual, until I completely give my main server a overhaul, it'll be on and off, but remain up from 3pm GMT til 2am GMT.
Once everything gets moved onto the main server, it'll be up 24 hours a day, and I'll get reboots in every week.
Same details as my previous post, but going down for the night. Back up again at 11am GMT tommorow morning.

I say we give the room a demo, just to see how people take to it. If it's not popular, then I'll take it down, but no harm in giving people the choice for the time being. If it turns out to be popular, I'll give my main box an overhaul.

Done. I'll try and find a quiz bot script somewhere so people can pit their wits against the many thousands of really difficult questions that usually come with them =P.
