Teo, that's what we're aiming for. However, for whatever reason, the two webmasters just seem to be involved in political-esque mudslinging and "You did it!" "No I didn't" tripe.
Trust me, if I find anything out about negotiations between the two, I'll be sure to let you know.

I already had a solution to this problem. It is posted in my first (well, technically my second) post on this thread. It is: 1.- That "Mr. Ctrl+C" removes all my files off his site, -OR- 2.- That he leaves them there BUT I will copy "HIS" files. It is him (YY) who chose not to remove them. Therefore I will copy his files. Which, I would like to note, weren't created by him either. More than 95% of his site is content obtained from elsewhere, therefore he can't do a thing to have it removed off my site once I copy it (The only ones who can are the original creators). Obviously YY can't let that happen under any circumstances, so he has submitted to denying all charges against him in a worthless, desperate attempt to gain some credibility. IN NO MOMENT did I suggest a flame war. Those of you who keep insisting on a flame war sound as if you really wanted one to happen. Flame wars are pointless. How could I have ever achieved this given that YY didn't want to talk?? I would like to make a "final list" of files that YY must remove, in case he does decide to remove them. If he doesn't, then I'll just copy his stuff. Besides, regardless of whether he removes them or not, things like the SMW cartoon episodes are not his, and I can add them anyway; I will never consider YY as the new owner of these episodes. They belong to DANNY ASHERMAN. Hell, the versions of the episodes that I have came directly from Danny's site when it was still online. The issue is not the credit; It is that I don't want YY to use these files, even if he gives me credit. He has just caused me waaay too many problems in trying to remove the files, and has been VERY insultive through email. THE ONLY REASON you didn't reply (a.k.a. stopped sending me harassing emails) is because I threatened to send you 100's or 1,000's of identical emails every time you sent me an additional harassing email. That's the ONLY reason you stopped. Had I not threatened you, I'm sure you would have continuously annoyed me till you were fully satisfied. You don't have a clue? What size is your brain, may I ask?? And they were not junk emails! Junk mail is of commercial nature. Mine were simply multiple copies of the exact same email message, written by me. You totally contradicted yourself there. Either you did or you didn't, it is impossible to do both. Are you calling me a liar?!  Why do you keep acting like a coward?! Accept that you said that, FOR ONCE AND FOR ALL. 1.- That Yellow Yoshi remove all my files off his site, or 2.- That he leave them there BUT I will copy "his" files. awwwww... Yoshata, you didn't have to do that... =( Let's distinguish between these two things: 1.- The intention, and 2.- The consequences. YY's intention was most likely to make his site more popular, and he worked on that through stealing. The consequence is that I would start losing traffic because anyone can go get my files over there instead. Since YY is no longer my friend, it is the consequence that counts. If he were still my friend then it would be the intention that would count. Uhhh... I don't mean to be rude, but... If you want peace, obtaining it is as simple as not reading this thread. All of you who want peace are under no obligation to read this thread. If this thread annoys you, then why do you participate in it? Again, I'm not trying to sound rude or mean. I'm just posting some of my "unanswered thoughts". |

BryUK, you're actually right. I DID get those mp3s from kazaa, and now I do know that they are YoshiArt's. I will remove those too.
However, don't make a full assumption. I DID rip the files from Yoshi's Island and Tetris Attack, and some others. I ripped them by saving .SPCs as .WAVs with a Winamp Plugin, and then opening "Flexi Music Wave Editor" to edit them save them as .mp3s.
YS, you're whole post was pointless.. you just said the same thing over and over again. And don't make up percentages. The only site I've gotten "concrete" files from is this one, and like I already said, only the .wavs and the sprites. I obvioulsy had to get game information from other websites, and I get my game screenshots from press rooms. Also, I must admit you're clever. You made up that thing about your .gif having a Credit by Yoshiru Ferrari thing, but it doesn't, it NEVER did.

You say you are willing to compromise YY, yet you are still in denial. I never assumed all your mp3's were ill-gotten... or should I say, from the yoshiart site. I was careful to avoid that. After all, there are no Tetris Attack mp3's on this site. I could however, if you want, go through every single one of your mp3 files the same way and give a full list of which ones are sourced from yoshiart if you want. Did you actually follow his instructions and open the file in wordpad/notepad? Observe ladies and gentlemen, I downloaded the file from the Yoshi Lore link at approx 05:00 British time, about 15 minutes after ys made that post. (I point this out incase YY edits the image at the source of the link or removes it) I opened it in note pad. Then I took a screenshot.  This really is the time to owe up YY. I'm not going to go into insults and I hope ys will likewise refrain (please mate, calling into question anyones intelligence doesn't help you either, apart from making you feel better. Cool head mate, keep it level). YY, you are only digging yourself deeper and deeper in a hole that is already half way to China.  |

Edit: Whoops, sorry BryUK... we posted at almost the exact same time. But, Thank you!! Thank god at least one person (you) was able to see it still intact. Sorry, I lost control for a moment, it was very insulting to see YY do that... I'll try not to lose control again... (Geez, I really wish I would've seen your message before posting...) lol, I just noticed something... If you go see the image that was ripped off its copyright notice just a few moments ago, (and if it hasn't been deleted by YY yet,) you will see that the image is corrupted because YY simply took out the notice via a plain text editor. YY probably never imagined that gifs are binary files, and that editing them via notepad automatically corrupts them because notepad saves in ASCII format... |

I had a certain degree of respect for you yy. I would never have thought it but, BryUK has presented hard evidence here. I feel bitterly dissappointed.

You know what people, I admit I did lie to a certain degree... But I have my reasons.
First of all, I got this pictures a LONG time ago, when Yoshi Lore was still in PageBuilder and hosted in geocities. I got those pictures from other small geocities websites, but also some others from IGN and Gamespot.
I was unaware, that the ones I got from other small geocities websites, were from YoshiArt, until not too long ago. I was afraid that if I admitted that they were from YoshiArt, you people would think that I'm a lying 100%, and not believe anything else I say. However, you still found out I was lying to a small degree, and it turned out to be worse.
I have come to a conclusion, I will remove those MP3s, and whatever other files he tells me are his. However, I still think a huge list of 90 files is ridiculous! I really doubt all of them are really his, and that him, too, is lying to a certain degree. I will also remove the .wav yoshi sounds, not because I have to legally, but because I want to morally.

ok, ok, yy... you've been caught, k? You're admitting to some things which is good but you're still trying to fight.
I talked to ys about how he made the mp3 files and I'm satisified he knows what he's talking about.
And at the end of day, ys hasn't edited out an acknowlegment within a file right before everyones very eyes like you did yesterday and started saying:
That was a flat out lie to everyone who has read this topic. You have lied repeatadly and consistantly and the only reason you've started admitting to anything is because you just got caught red-handed right before everyones eyes.
The point is made.
So lets knock it off with any more accusations.
You took a risk in editing the acknowledgement out of the .gif file and it backfired. Big time.
That you were "lying to a -small- degree" is well open to debate however that is a debate which I insist does not happen. Not here.
Everyone can see the evidence here and come to their own conclusions.
People will forgive and forget over time and removing the files you are requested to is the best way towards healing these wounds as quickly as possible.
ys, on your part, don't let some of his remarks there bait you. Any negative comments aimed at you from YY only help reinforce your position.

Although, not in the same verbatim. 1. YY removes all of the files that can be, or are, proven stolen. No "omgf u steel!!1 plz clos ur site down kthx bi1 u sux". 2. The sites share the content that would be most beneficial to each other. (IE: I'd doubt that Yoshiart needs a Dr. Mario game discription, but it might need a few more wallpapers) An apology would probably help, too. |

Sorry to butt in, but I have an idea that could stop this type of thing from occuring. Okay, we all know that ys began this thread due to YY's theivery. That, I believe, was a bad idea because in turn, it brought both forums into the debate, which is pointless in my opinion. But I think that in the future, ys and whomever he deals with for whatever reason do it using it msn instant messenger, yahoo instant messenger, or whatever, as long as it doesn't involve the forums. I'm happy that this hasn't turned into a flame war, and I hope it doesn't. Now, for the main reason I posted. Ys, after this whole debate is settled, lock this thread, sticky it, and leave it here. Why? So we can learn from this and hopefully keep messy things like this from happening in the future. This is only what I think, and hope, will help. Let me add just one more thing, YY, you had me going for a while there. I was starting to believe you, you were very convincing and I give you props for that, but I now am completely with ys. Sorry ys for nearly going to YY's side, and sorry YY that I no longer believe you and what you post. This proves to me that there are definitly untrustworthy people out there and I again advise that this thread be locked after the final post, hopefully made by ys declaring it over.

Hopefully the final post will be from YS, and a post saying this is over, but I agree with what YS did posting about what YY did here. What other choice did he have? YY would not talk with him, and he is losing people to YL because of the images YY posted on YL that belong to YA. The people deserve to know about things like this. Now, I'm not trying to make this into a war, and I hope nothing like this ever happens again, but YY shouldn't have stolen the work from here. And like I said, YS tried to talk to him, but when you are losing people to another site that is taking your things, and the person wont listen, then I say you should say something. If something like this ever happens again, I would like it over MSN or something, but hey, if this is what YS had to do, then I'm gald he did it. We are getting progress now, and hopefully this will be over soon, and nothing like this will ever happen again. YS will be on soon I'm sure to read over everything, and post. Lets all wait til then.

See? that's why I was afraid of admitting that. I'm being honest, I did not know I was stealing his contents until he proved me by telling me to open that on a text editor, yesterday. He did tell me that for all th sprites. That's why I removed them, I was aware that they were his. If he simply wouldve shown me proof of ownership earlier, and privately, this wouldn't have happened...
Same for the mp3s. BryUK showed me they were his, and I'm gonna remove them.
And same for the .WAV sounds.
