Alright, I got this next piece done after that long delay. I hope it’s alright, I think I should have put a little more time into preparing this one. Enjoy, all.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
By the afternoon, thunder was calling very loudly in the skies. The once-clear skies had become a darkened gray overcast. After the waterfall, there hadn’t been too much action. The racers had all remained in the same spots. Teo and his group did end up recovering, and managed to get back into the race. Charfg and his team, however, soon vanished.
“Ok, so we’re not in completely last place… that’s good, right?” LD asked.
“Yes, it is, but we have quite a long we to go before we get farther.” Jay commented.
<Hm… wow, I’m hungry…> Champ said.
<You’ll have to wait a bit longer for food.> Charon responded. <Ever since that flooding incident, all of our foods been soaked. We need to wait for it to dry off.>
“I really don’t think it’s good to eat something after it’s been drenched in salt water.” Yoshee responded. “We may have to stop somewhere and pick up some extra food.”
“You mean stop in the middle of a race?!” LD shouted. “But, but we’re already behind!”
“Yeah, we’re behind, but we’re also hungry.” Yoshee said. “Aren’t you a little hungry?”
“Well…” LD started. He suddenly shook his head. “No! And besides, what if I were? We got to win this thing!”
“Ok, ok!” Yoshee said. “We can vote! Stop and eat or keep going?”
“Alright, you’re on!” LD shouted, pointing Yoshee challengingly.
He moved his hand around to point at them all. “OK! Who think we do a dumb thing like stopping to eat?”
To his surprise, Yoshee, Champ, Charon, and Jay all arose their hands at the same time. LD gasped and growled.
“I win.” Yoshee stated proudly.
LD replied with an aggravated scowl.
Jay tried to avoid all of the fuss and peered out of the window. As they traveled down the river, he looked and spotted a few roofs beyond some tall jungle-like trees. It was hard to pick out any details, due to the darkness.
“Look over there.” Jay said, motioning toward the window. Everyone else stopped arguing and look a look.
“Hey, it’s a village.” Yoshee stated, looking ahead. “Alright, this should be easy. All we got to do is head over there quick and buy some new food.”
“Yeah sure, you win this round, but next time, I swear…” LD said under his breath.
“What was that?” Yoshee asked.
“Oh, nothing…” LD stated. “Well, nothing yet…”
Both of the chao piloted the chao walker off the river and onto the bank.
“Maybe we can get a repair man to help us out with all the dents too.” Jay commented. “Perhaps they sell fuel too…”
“Maybe.” Yoshee added.
The five of them left the chao walker on the shore, after making sure it was secure. Without further ado, they then ventured into the thick grass ahead. The sounds of bugs could be heard all over. Random animal noises sounded here and there, though nothing was too noisy. There was a single path ahead, slightly covered in fallen leaves. Their boots and shoes made small crunching sounds. The trees were so thick that they had to push them out of the way to get around. It was also considerably humid in there.
“Well, this is comfortable.” LD commented.
“Oh, calm down. You lost the vote fairly.” Yoshee said.
<Yeah, no need to be soar about it.> Champ said.
LD scoffed, forced a fake smile, and turned the other direction, with folded arms and eyes closed. “Hah, me? I’m not soar.”
<Well, you’re something alright.> Charon said.
“What did you say?!” LD asked, pointing at Charon.
“Everyone, this isn’t the time to argue.” Jay said. “Like it or not, we’re a team. Let’s act like it.”
His response was a simultaneous scoff from Yoshee and LD, as they turned their heads in opposing directions.
“Yeah, that’s got to be an omen.” Jay sighed with an exasperated voice.
<Hey guys, look ahead.> Champ added. Dead ahead, there stood a few structures. It was a small little village, smaller then they had expected. Most of the building were made of straw and wood. It looked almost like a tribal sort of place.
“Who would have thought we could have arrived so fast?” Jay asked. He examined the primitive setting. “…hm, judging by the look of this place, I doubt they have extra fuel.”
“I don’t like the looks of this place.” LD said.
“He has a point.” Jay added back. “Let’s stay on guard.”
Yoshee seemed eager to explore. She walked ahead of everyone else as they talked.
“Wait, Yoshee!” Jay shouted.
She paid no heed. Instead, she gave a pleasant wave. “C’mon, you guys are hungry, right?”
They all responded with a bit of silence. Jay looked over toward LD. LD responded with a shrug. With that, they ran to catch up with Yoshee.
“Glad to see you decided to join.” Yoshee said joyfully.
The others began to look around.
<Odd… the entire place is empty.> Champ said.
“You guys think we walked into an abandoned campsite?” Jay asked.
<It’s possible.> Charon responded.
Jay continued to look around. What they couldn’t see before was now clear. A few dry-bones skulls hung over doors and on poles. There seemed to be a few bones that framed the doorways.
“I don’t like this place.” Jay said. “Something here simply isn’t right.”
“I could have told you that.” LD said.
There was more silence now. A few exotic birds called out in the distance, but otherwise nothing.
Suddenly, to their surprise, there was the sound of something flying in the air. LD looked up and spotted a spear headed right toward them.
LD gasped and jumped, the spear missing him barely, stabbing itself into the grass.
“Whoa, somebody shot at me!” LD shouted.
“EEK!” Yoshee shouted back in response. She also had to jump, to avoid yet another spear.
“This was a trap. We’re being targeted.” Jay stated. “Be on your guard.”
“Ha!” LD shouted, pointing at the others. “I knew it! I knew we shouldn’t have come for food. But you all voted to come! I was right!”
<Shut up.> Charon said.
“Why should I?” LD asked.
<You’ll attract more attention, shut up.> Charon said.
“Yeah, sure, I will-”
“SHUT UP!” Everyone else shouted in unison.
“Uh…” LD sighed.
There was a sudden loud screech. They all watched as a whole bunch of Toads rushed into the area, all wearing simplistic tribal clothing. All of them were a bit dirty, and apparently battle scarred. Each had their own spear or bow-and-arrow set. It only seemed like a few instants, but they formed a perfect circle around the others.
One of them shouted in a loud, foreign language, forcing a spear toward Yoshee.
“What’d he say?” Yoshee asked.
“No idea.” Jay said.
Whatever was going on, they all knew that they had just stumbled into a trap.
----------------------------------------------------------
“’hoy, Captain!” Eloeem shouted.
Leoshi walked outside, joining his crew.
“…yes?” he asked.
“The wind is getting pretty fast.” Eloeem said.
“He’s right.” Spider said. “Too fast.”
Moshi sighed. “Look up there.” She pointed upward.
Leoshi looked ahead, starring into the sky. The clouds were getting thicker and darker with every increasing moment. There were louder calls of thunder.
“There’s a storm coming, isn’t there?” Leoshi asked.
“Yup.” Moshi said. “Isn’t that perfect? We can use it to get farther then everyone else!”
“Provided the storm doesn’t kill us.” Leoshi said.
“You want to win or not?” Moshi asked.
“Yes, I do, but-”
“Then let’s go.” Moshi said.
“Hey, you can’t make the decisions you know, you weren’t appointed the leader.” Yapi said.
“That doesn’t mean I don’t have a say in the matter either.” Moshi said back in defense.
“What we do is up to our leader.” Yapi said. “Leo, what do you want to do?”
Leoshi sighed. “Why did I have to be the leader?”
“Good question.” Moshi said.
“That’s not nice.” Yapi added.
“Well, whatever.” Moshi said. “Ok, leader, what is your plan?”
Leoshi looked back up into the sky. A small flash of lightning flashed.
“Ok, we’ll keep going.” Leoshi said.
“What?” Eloeem asked.
“Yeah, we need this advantage, no matter how risky it is.” Leoshi said.
“Glad you finally understand.” Moshi said.
“Leo, are you sure?” Yapi asked.
“Yes, I’m very positive.” Leoshi said.
Thunder called again.
“But we all better get inside soon.” Spider said. “This storm is going to get extreme very soon.”
“Good idea.” Eloeem said.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Alright, that’s it for now. More on the way, hopefully soon. Sorry for the short chapter, and I know I didn’t get to include all of the characters.

Hahaha! TRIBAL TOADS! "AIAIAIAIAIAI!" XD Hahaha, that made me laugh hard. Oh, I found something wrong with it! D= During dialogue. I know it's hard to find good words, but you repeat yourself quite a few times. Try to not use the dialogue "he says" and "she replied" kind of words more than a few times in one chapter.

Alright, back with the next piece of the fanfic. Thanks for the kind comments, and sorry for the delay!
--------------------------------------------------------------------
“There’s a nasty storm out there.” Shez remarked, starring out of the window. He looked back toward the rest of his group.
Midnight stood still, leaning against a corner. “We can handle it.”
“Let’s hope so.” Shez replied.
“Don’t let it faze you. Everyone get back to your posts.” With that, the dark leader of their team walked out of the room, and promptly slammed the door behind her.
Yoshark, Hunter, and Kator were all at a nearby table, sitting down lazily.
“You guys head her, get to your posts.” Shez said.
Yoshark got up first. “Alright, I’m going.”
The red yoshi walked towards Shez.
“But…” Yoshark started. “I’m beginning to think that Midnight’s going to get us in trouble.”
“Huh?” Shez asked.
“Well, she’s been pretty tough on everyone.” Yoshark said. “And she seems to really rely on the power of this ship. What if she trusts it too much?”
“Meh, I wouldn’t worry about it.” Shez said. “Midnight’s strong, I’m pretty sure we’ll win.”
“I know, I know…” Yoshark said. “I just think something’s not right.”
“Heh, Yoshark?” Shez asked. “Three dragon yoshis, a mystical fox thing, and a coned lion cub competing in a stolen airship? Yeah, I know what you mean.”
“Well, there’s more too it then that.” Yoshark said.
“Well, whatever it is, it’s got to wait.” Shez looked toward the door. “Midnight’s going to freak out if we don’t get to our posts.”
“Right.” Yoshark said. “C’mon, guys.”
Kator got upward and followed Yoshark out of the room. Shez turned to follow, but quickly turned to face the table.
“Hunter, you coming?” Shez asked.
Hunter turned to look at the dark dragon. He felt a bit worried, but tried to hide the expression under his cone.
“…well?” Shez asked.
Hunter nodded, and hopped out of his seat.
“Look, I know you’re nervous.” Shez said.
“No, I’m not.” Hunter stated.
“Hunter, come on.” Shez said. “We have to go.”
Hunter gave a quick sigh and nodded, before following Shez out of the door.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“Hoy…” Yin moaned.
“We’re trying as best as we can!” Yoshiko and Yoshiken both shouted.
By that point of the day, the constant flight was aggravating.
“We’re already pretty far ahead.” John said. “…maybe we could spot a place to rest.”
“Good idea.” Yoshiken sighed.
They flew to the side of the river, coming to a stop on some nearby grass.
As soon as Yoshiko reached dry land and came to a stop, he fell back down on the ground. “Don’t wake me up until morning.” he said with a yawn.
There was a call of thunder from above.
“There’s a storm coming, isn’t there?” Yoshifrog asked.
“Yup.” Yin said.
The winds picked up a little by that point. Normally calm trees waved to and fro, scattered leaves flew on past. The skies turned even darker, from a slight gray to a now complete darkness.
“I say we find shelter.” Yoshiken said. “It might rain… and I don’t like rain.”
“But if we stray too far off, we’ll lose track of what’s going on.” John said.
“He’s got a point.” Yoshifrog replied.
And then it began in only a few seconds. A sudden downpour of rain fell from the skies, striking them all and soaking everything almost immediately.
Everyone seemed a little ticked about it, but none more so then Yoshiken. He was making a sizzling sound as it fell on him. His eyes narrowed. “It… burns.”
“Ok, let’s get him out of here.” Yoshifrog said.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hunter was indeed at his post, sitting on the aft most deck of the airship. This was an outdoor area, so all of the wind and rain could be experienced. At that point, they were flying about 30,000 feet off the ground, and the dark clouds made the area below invisible.
Hunter wasn’t doing anything at his post, though. The weather was quite cold, so he had a large blanket wrapped around him for warmth. There was a cannon mounted beside him. He was supposed to be standing by the cannon, to make sure he could fire at any racers coming from behind. Of course, with the rather dangerous weather, he was occupied with huddling for warmth.
“Hey.” Midnight said.
A very startled Hunter gasped and looked backward. He saw her, giving a very serious expression.
“Why aren’t you at your post?” She asked.
Hunter replied with a quivering voice. “It’s cold and pretty rough here.” Hunter said.
“You better have a good excuse for not staying with the cannon.” Midnight said angrily.
“It’s cold out here, and there’s nobody around to hit.”
Midnight grew furious. “How can you tell, it’s so foggy out here!”
“Midnight, there’s nobody here… I can tell.” Hunter replied.
“Look, keep following orders!” Midnight shouted. “Or we won’t let you back inside tonight!”
With that, she angrily turned backward and walked away.
Hunter got up and walked back toward the cannon. “This is crazy.” he spoke.
As he got there, he could see flashes of lightning in the distance. Winds thrashed from every direction, making a loud, angry whistling sound. Thunder roared nearby, as the airship continuously shook. Sometimes, it was a slight bump or a nudge of the storm, other times it was a violent shift, sending Hunter into various directions. He kept both paws on the cannon, not to arm it, but now to keep in place.
There was another quick flash. This time, however, there was something in the distance. It looked like a ship, flying in the air. With that little second to provide light, he could not tell who it was.
Hunter was now in full alert. He looked in every direction, trying to spot the ship again. Though it was nowhere to be found, he could hear a few shouts in the distance.
“Why do they sound so familiar?” Hunter thought.
Another flash indicated the ship was right below them, and careening in random directions. This time, he could identify the vessel. It was the Majestuosa for sure, he could tell by the style of the ship. He could hear it’s crew shouting. It sounded like they were battling the storm as well, and fairing off a lot worse then he was.
Hunter walked away from the cannon and looked over the edge of the ship, still holding the blanket around him.
“Idiots!” He could hear Moshi shout.
Hunter watched as the ship was coming closer from behind. They were at the same level as he was, directly behind the airship about a solid 50 yards away. It was about then that he spotted the front sail had a hole in it’s upper right corner. It didn’t seem to big, though the ship was constantly tilting and shaking.
“I told you it was a bad idea to sail in this storm! I told you!” Spider shouted over the storm.
“It’s not my fault!” Moshi shouted back.
The air currents threw the ship right and left, as they continued to argue over the wind and rain.
“Hey, look ahead, idiots!” Moshi shouted. “There’s a big ship in front of us!”
“Hey, it’s that guy with the cone!” Eloeem exclaimed.
Hunter realized he had been spotted. He began to walk toward the cannon.
“Long time, no see, Hunter!” Moshi shouted.
“As in one day.” Yapi added.
“What do you want?” Hunter asked.
The crew of the Majestuosa all stood for a moment, before a harsh tilt to the right gave them a clear reminder.
“Our ship is in trouble!” Leoshi shouted.
“We need to patch up the sail!” Spider shouted. “And we need to do it now!”
“So, mind if we borrow your blanket there?” Moshi asked.
Hunter growled. “Why should I help you?”
“’cause you’d spare us from death?” Moshi asked. “More importantly, we don’t want to lose.”
“Sorry, I already didn’t attack you before.” Hunter said. “I don’t think I can.”
“Thanks a lot…” Moshi said. She looked toward Eloeem. “Hey, go inside and grab your bed sheet! We’re going to use that to patch up the sail!”
“But then I’ll have no sheets!” Eloeem shouted back.
“Better you then us!” Moshi replied.
“Forget it.” Leoshi sighed. “I’ll get my sheets.”
Before any further arguments, there was a quick gust of wind. Hunter’s sheet immediately flew off of him, and off the side of the ship. Hunter, in a panic, reached out to grab the sheet in an effort to save it. His left paw clutched onto it firmly. Though there was another whip of the wind, and the blanket took off again, this time with a passenger. Hunter flipped and fell over the rail, and off the back of the airship.
“He’s falling!” Yapi shouted.
“No duh.” Moshi replied.
Hunter began a call for help as he fell farther and farther from the airship. Spider jumped from his spot and flew off the side of the Majestuosa. Racing against the winds themselves, he dove right after Hunter, who’s decent was rapidly increasing per second.
They flew out of view as they faded into the dark clouds below. Not even the lightning could illuminate where they had fallen.
Eloeem, Yapi, and Leoshi all rushed to the rail and looked down, to try and get a glimpse of what was going on. Moshi, however, leaned against the mast with folded arms.
After a minute, a figure was seen returning to the Majestuosa. Spider flew up from beneath the ship, battling the downpour of rain on the way. He landed back on the deck, carrying the huddled and very shocked Hunter. He let the little lion cub on the deck carefully. Hunter was frozen still, with the blanket still beating against the wind.
“So then, looks like you finally decided to come aboard.” Moshi said, without looking at him.
“Ok, you guys do what you want to me.” Hunter said. “But I’m warning you, my crew’s not going to be happy when they hear you’ve kidnapped me!”
“By the way, you’re welcome.” Spider said.
“So… are you going to use this for your sail?” Hunter asked, holding up the small, currently torn blanket.
“Nah, it’s alright.” Eloeem said. “Let’s get you inside and dry you off. I don’t think you’ll be going back to your ship.”
“But they are going to get worried about me.” Hunter said in protest. “I can’t stay here. Besides, aren’t we against each other?”
“Yes, and no. But due to this storm, there’s no chance you’ll be able to get back on your airship.” Yapi said.
Leoshi walked toward the door that lead inside and opened it up, revealing a warm, artificial light coming from indoors. “Come in, you’ll want to clean off.”
“While you’re in there, get a sheet for the sail, too!” Moshi said. She watched as Leoshi and Hunter walked inside, shutting the door behind them.
Moshi immediately began laughing.
“What’s so funny?” Yapi asked.
“Just…” Moshi gave another dark chuckle. “Imagine the look on Midnight’s face when she finds out we took one of her crewmates. I wish I could see it!”
Eloeem looked ahead. By that point, the airship was out of view. “Anyone else want to go inside?”
“Yeah, I’m tired.” Yapi said with a yawn. “How about you?”
There was another crash of lightning, and a loud, thunderous noise nearby.
Moshi was too busy in a sinister laugh to respond. “We’re going to beat Midnight now, alright.”
“Or become her biggest target.” Spider pointed out.
“Yeah, we’ll see.” Eloeem commented, still starring strait ahead.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah, another short chapter of the race. Meh, boring twist, but I needed to do something else. In the next chapters, you’ll see how some of the other teams are fairing off.

I'm very curious to see the winner... But now that the Majestuosa has a sixth member, maybe it'll help give an edge... or could the airship hold out?
Ooooo... I wonder how Yoshee's team is doing! What's going to happen? Are they going to get deep fried? Are they going to get cut up into little bits? Is LD going to become their break-dancing god? Now this I'm curious of knowing what's going to happen.
...And my own team of course! There's so much in here that's still a mystery! But that's the beauty of it, it makes you want to read the next chapter more than ever.
And let's all give a big thanks to the author! HIP HIP, HOORAY!

Man those were some super awesome chapters! I seem to be getting on Yoshiko and Yoshiken's nerves I see, heh heh... Leo has another member on his team. This can give him an edge, or not. Keep it going on strong! On another note, today I wondered how many chapters Leo written for this story, and after a great deal of scrolling down, This is Leo's 103th chapter of Good or Evil! Congratulations! Is there anything the author would like to say for typing over 100 chapters?
EDIT: I may have miss counted so if anyone wants to check it over please do.
