Chapter 13 (27/9/06)

The three yoshis were now long into the books. Anjil and Leo were sitting quietly in their seats reading up on this creature. Leoshi was reading “The Twilight Myth” and Anjil reading “Twilight Project”. Toshi, on the other hand, had gone to the vending machine for a snack, getting bored of his book.
“So Leoshi, why are you so interested in this phenomenon?”
“Who isn’t interested? What happened was completely out of the blue; I’m not looking for a way to stop it like I believe you are I’m just interested. Why are you trying to stop this thing?”
“Who isn’t trying to stop?” Anjil replied, “It killed over 50 yoshis and injured more, and my boyfriend was injured in the incident and has now run off and is no longer the yoshi I know and love. I want to know how to get him back. My other friend seems to be running off all the time too.”
“Wow, sorry to hear that. Shame these books aren’t too helpful. They keep talking about Xenerex, where is that anyway?”
“No idea, must be an old thing. The diary Toshi was reading seemed really old, the date is weird, like an old calander with different months and years and things.”
They both kept reading for a bit longer, again finding little of use. Toshi returned from the vending machine, but with nothing in his hands.
“Heya Toshi, didn’t you go get something to eat?”
Toshi stared in a dark menacing way, “We’re leaving right now, I know where he is.” With this he left the library a walked in an easterly direction, taking his spear out from his back scabbard.
“Toshi! What the…”
“I’d like to help but I’m not much of a fighter. Take this with you, I’ll help all I can from here.” Leoshi handed Anjil a walkie-talkie.
“Thanks, Leoshi.” Anjil ran after Toshi who was already heading back to the forest where they found Yoshiken.

Yoshiken and the other yoshi were far into their battle. Yoshiken seemed to have the upper hand here, attacking a lot more than the other yoshi who could only try and defend. Gar ran to the injured yoshi on the floor.
“Hello, I’m here to help, what is your name?” asked Gar.
“Y…Y…Yoshee” the yoshi replied with a stutter.
“Ok, Yoshee, what’s wrong?”
“That blond haired yoshi grabbed my ankle and threw me. He grabbed my ankle really tight and it really hurts!” Yoshee started to scream in pain.
“Ok, I’ll find help in a minute. Just keep still and try not to move much.”
Gar stood up and ran towards the fight. Yoshiken knocked the hammer out of the other yoshi’s hands and pushed him onto the floor. Yoshiken stood above him and was ready to make the finishing strike, but Gar leaped and deflected Yoshiken’s sword with his own just in time.
“Stop this! Are you insane?” shouted Gar.
Yoshiken stood silent and did nothing. Gar stood in front of the fallen yoshi.
“Go tend to the yoshi next to the tree over there, I’ve got this guy.”
“Thank you,” the other yoshi replied, “My name is Brute, by the way.”
“The name’s Garral Yulong, you can call me Gar.”
Yoshiken was getting bored of this exchange and did a roundhouse kick into Gar, who was caught unaware and was sent flying and hit the floor just behind Brute.
“Cheap shot… it will be your last.” Gar said with confidence, “I’m a f***ing dragon!”
Gar stood up and charged back at Yoshiken and swung his blade as he came near him, only to be stopped by Yoshiken’s almost half-hearted effort.
“You bore me, dragon.” Said Yoshiken in a dark voice. With that he took off and flew at an unusually high speed away from the fight.
“Coward!” Shouted Gar. He turned to Brute who was supporting Yoshee.
“We need a hospital, Garral.” Said Brute.

This is an awesome chapter, Twi. The fight scene was pretty cool I thought....well...except I almost got my head chopped off by Yoshiken. But still pretty awesome. XD

wow, you would think that a yoshi doing a roundhouse kick would really hurt the muscles ^^.

....but then again, I am me after all XD (jk).

Excellent job with the element of suspence. I like your ability to describe things, as well.

You can be a loser and add commas, haha. It doesn't disrupt the story if you don't put them in, but it adds more emotion to the dialogue.

Yea that was good! Ha Ha "I'm a f***ing dragon!" whenever I'm feeling sad, I'll think about that and feel better (because it's so funny) Yea, all of that great writing you put in and that's all I can think about, someone else post so I don't look too stupid please! (note to self: find out what a 'roundhouse kick' is... and also don't type your thoughts out loud, especially ones that make you look dumb! )

Chapter 14 (10/10/06)

Yoshee was sat up in a bed at the hospital. Ironically it was exactly the same bed used not long before by, what the doctors said, was “a bed used by someone who escaped”. Yoshee was perfectly conscious and seemed pretty comfortable in the bed. She had a cast on her hurt ankle that was notified as a small fracture which should heal quite fast. She sat watching the rain outside. It hadn’t started that long before but was coming down very heavy now and the trees rustled violently in the wind. Nothing else was outside that Yoshee could see, everyone seems to have run inside. She was hoping for a visit from Brute later, but he couldn’t go anywhere and would more than likely be stuck with Gar for most the day with the rain and wind that was outside. She lay back in the hospital bed, unable to do anywhere and stared at the ceiling.

Toshi walked determined through the heavy rain and wind, his coat was flapping wildly in the wind as he walked with an expressionless face towards the forest once again.
“Toshi!” Anjil shouted whilst being blown about by the wind, “Toshi! Where are we going, what happened?”
The shouts where in vain and Toshi didn’t turn. He walked into the trees. Anjil followed behind and tried to keep up but Toshi was walking very quickly.
They reached a clearing. It was the same place as the place they first saw Yoshiken but this time it was different. The sky above it was dark purple with black clouds with rain coming down heavy. The Lake was a purple colour also and the ground was dark and marsh-like. On the other side of the clearing stood a dark figure in black armour with purple areas on the rims of the shoulder pads and leg armour. He had a red cape which was over his right shoulder covering his arm. The cape was held on by a spiked shoulder clip type device. The figure had no pupils and hair going down past his tail and almost to the back of his knees, both his eyes and hair were purple. The yoshi had dark grey skin and stood with his gauntleted hand holding a large scythe, almost 8 foot in the with a 4 foot long curved blade. The figure was about 6’6” tall and stood staring at Toshi and Anjil. Beside the figure was Yoshiken, completely overshadowed and looking very weak in comparison. Both Anjil and Toshi stared intently.
At the time there was rustling behind Toshi and Anjil and Sky leaped out of the tree and grabbed the two blue yoshies unaware smashing their heads on the floor knocking them out cold. Sky picked up the lifeless yoshies and walked towards the figure.

Awesome story so far; the gore part really mesmerized me and I know some peeps didn't like it too much, but omg, YES! TRIPLE BONUS MULTIPLIER ! !... I'm sorry for those Yoshis though D=

If you need an enemy character or a nutty character for the Yoshis to kick around, you could always add Hunter. It's just an idea, you don't have to include me since I'm not all that yoshified ^^; But, I wouldn't mind dying or anything! Just think about it... I could be some dark cub dude that pounces people in the jungle, or be one of the sidekicks that pretty much screws up a lot <=3

(I really need to socialize more here on YC; you people don't know me well! =o )

Toshi slowly opened his eyes after being unconscious for so long. His vision was very blurred and he could only see light blue, red and dark grey smudges. He drifted in and out of consciousness for few minutes before finally opening his eyes and letting his vision get focused. There he saw Sky, Yoshiken and the mysterious grey yoshi, all upside-down. Toshi looked down, or at least what he thought was down, to see the grey ceiling and a balcony where a rope was tied. Looking at his body he saw that his clothes had been stolen down to his underwear and his weapon taken, he was tied upside-down in an abandoned warehouse. He looked left and saw Anjil in a similar state but unconscious. Next to Anjil, Gar was in the same state but was awake.
“Wakey wakey, Toshi,” said Gar.
“W..what’s going on?” replied Toshi.
Gar didn’t reply he just stared at the 3 yoshis infont of them. The grey yoshi walk towards Toshi and stared at him with his solid purple eyes. He turned and walked to Yoshiken, whispering something to him before stabbing his scythe into thin air and pulling, making a rift in the warehouse which he jumped into and the rift closed. Toshi and Gar were extremely shocked and stared at where the yoshi had disappeared. Just Sky and Yoshiken were there, guarding a box and watching the prisoners. Sky looked to Yoshiken who didn’t notice Sky’s staring. Suddenly Sky attacked, he swang his fist round and knocked Yoshiken flying into the wall they were standing infront. Yoshiken fell to the floor and stayed there for a little while before standing up. Blood was coming from a now formed cut on his nose and he leaped back at Sky with his katana, landing in front of Sky and swinging furiously. Sky stepped back over and over avoiding the attacks before jumping over Yoshiken and running away. He turned and threw two kunai as Yoshiken chases. One went for Yoshiken, the other for Toshi. The one that was thrown at Yoshiken was deflected with the katana but slowed him down. The one aiming for Toshi cut through his rope and he fell to the floor with a thump. The kunai carries on and cut down Anjil. She also hit the ground and woke up.
“Ow, what in the world?” she stared at what was going on and looked around at where she was. Toshi had run to the box and opened it to find his, Anjil’s and Gar’s clothes and weapons.
“Anjil! No time, take your stuff and get ready to fight.”
Anjil agreed and took her clothes and put them on. She got her staff out and went over to Toshi who had also gotten ready with his spear.
“GUYS!!” Shouted Gar, “HELP ME! I’M STILL HANGING!”
Toshi and Anjil ignored the shouting and thought it best to help Sky first. They ran over to them where Sky was now struggling to hold off Yoshiken’s swings. One finally hit him and slashed across his chest. Sky stumbled backwards and fell over in pain, grasping his chest.
Toshi leaped into the air behind Yoshiken before shooting down with his spear ready to smash into him. Toshi missed, but the landing caused a shockwave which knocked Yoshiken off his balance. He didn’t fall but slowed down before just managing to get out of the warehouse and flee. Toshi and Anjil ran to Sky who’s wound was making his lose a lot of blood. Sky’s hand was now red and his eyes were rolling into the back of his head. Sky slowing difted out of consciousness and could only see the faces of Toshi and Anjil before falling into unconcsciousness.
