That is so awesome Rainbow! (I mean about your mission call, not the school or thing). You have to tell me where you are going on your mission when you get the letter!
Is there anywhere you would really like to go to specifically?

I will definitely let you know! I think that it would be cool to go to France... or Australia. Those would be my two preferred places. But really, I'm fine with going wherever I am called. ^^
I'm very excited. I'm taking a mission prep class right now, and it's like... the best haha. I'm really looking forward to going.

Going to Australia would be awesome! Two of my cousins went there to study abroad, and they had a great time there!... though they weren't necessarily studying there to be honest. In local news, my region is about to get pounded with snow... or so they say. The last time we had a forcast for a foot or more of snow was a little after Christmas, I think, and all we ever did get was four inches. I'm expecting much of the same, but it would be nice for it to be cold up here for a reason!

Albany, Long Island, and Massachusetts has had several (including this coming one) big cyclones since the end of the semester. Here in south-central New York, we haven't had much. I'm mad about this. At least I'm going back to Albany on Friday.

Dear Yoshi's Corner Fan Journal, I will be leaving on my mission on May 18th. Where will I be serving? Well... I will be in Samara, Russia. I am shocked, but excited. =) Oh my gosh, that is so awesome! Hopefully Russian isn't too hard for you to learn. It's funny, because I didn't have to learn another language when I went on a mission, so I was hardly in the MTC for more than 2 weeks, but you will have to train in your language there for 3 months. He will be gone for the same amount of time that I was gone for when I left on my mission: 2 years and you will be missed during those 2 years Rainbow! You better come back though after it is all done and over with! Oh, and you better send me your missionary email address too so that we can keep in touch.

Yes sir, I'll be gone for about two years. And I will definitely come back here once I'm back! This place is awesome.
I was looking at Russian characters and listening to a few Russian words last night, and it will definitely be a challenge to learn. But I know I can do it. I think the funny thing about me being in the MTC for so long is that I already live in Provo haha. So I'll leave for my mission, but I'll just be a few blocks away from where I live right now.
Anyways, I will send you my missionary email address sometime Kurtis. Most definitely.

Hey, huge congratulations, Rainbow! I'm so happy for you! ;D I know you will have a wonderful time on your mission. I know a few folks who went to Russia for their missions (though not to Samara) and they said that the language is challenging, if only because a lot of the characters are the same as in our alphabet but with different pronunciation. But you have the confidence to succeed, so I know you can do it! Kurtis and I would be interested in sending you some care packages occasionally I guess we can nab whatever your addresses are once you're out on the field. If you're up to it, of course!

It's been 5 days and nobody has had any going-ons? I hope it's okay that I double-post.The Brawl tournament went better than expected! We placed higher than we did last time, at least. I don't know where, as the results haven't been posted yet. But I'd say it's hard to do worse than 5th out of 7. We ended up losing against the top Diddy Kong in Arizona (DK Speed) and a really talented Snake (I think his alias was Baked). Then Kurtis entered Singles and lost against the top Pit user in AZ (KiraFlax). BUT after many friendlies, he was lauded by many of the folks there as possibly the best Yoshi user in AZ! He would just need to come back and prove himself in the next few tournaments. I didn't enter Singles due to lack of money and skill, but a couple folks including KiraFlax and the best Peach user in AZ (Silly Kyle) said they loved my Lucario and wished I would enter Singles! Maybe next time? OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH YEEEEEEAH. Representing Yoshi on the West Coast, that's what I'm talking about. Nice work Yoshiken and Anjil. Very nice.

Thanks Anjil! ;D I would love to get care packages from you two. That would be awesome. So I'll get my email address and my mission addresses to you when it gets closer to my leave day. I had a really good day today. It was my dad's birthday, so we went to a visit a family friend's home. One of the girls there is one of my best friends, and I hadn't seen her since last May. So it was fun to talk and catch up.

Dude... Russian is hard =P Like, I never tried learning it, but just learning how to pronounce everything when singing it was hard enough... though it is also one of my favorite languages to sing... I can't make up my own mind! =P But nevertheless, it should be amazing! Hope everything goes well for you!
Over here, things have been rather silent. All of my friends except for one are now back at college, and for some odd reason, my college wants to have break until this coming monday...WAY TOO LONG!!! But alas, nothing I can do about it except spin my wheels and just let the days pass. Perhaps I will pick up the pencil and draw again?

I had a foray in learning to read Russian when I was really bored the beginning of last semester. (And, oh, did that not last very long.) There are a few grammatical things in Russian (and Slavic languages in general) that seems really foreign, but otherwise, I wouldn't say Russian's not very much more difficult than, say, Spanish once you have the alphabet down. I will also say that spoken Russian is quite elegant-sounding.
Thursday I'll be nonstop for around 13 hours straight. Four classes and a 5 hour shift at NWS. It's going to be great. Welcome back to Albany.

I love singing in Russian~ It takes me a while to remember how to read the words though. XD
Anyway, on my end, I'm nearing the end of the first week of the spring semester. Classes are looking a-okay so far, no rough professors or anything. I'm also considering doing a livestream for art requests every now and then. Though I suppose I have to see how much time college is really going to take up first.

I didn't sing this recording, but it still sounds beautiful!) Finally picked up the xbox 360 controller after a while, and I haven't been able to rest from it. I'm on hour 3 now, and switching back and forth between friends and Borderlands.

Haha...it's been a while since I posted on YC, but I still keep an eye here. xD Aaaanyways, I have started my spring semester in college. I have some pretty cool classes this year except for my core classes and chorus. xD I still gotta practice 4 hours a day. ._. Well...life is still good. I really do enjoy music a lot so I don't mind the hard work at all. Well...now that I think about it...4 hours isn't enough...but I need to do homework and have free time too. xD I do go to a community college, but it's a pretty darn good one. In other news...I FINALLY got Donkey Kong Country Return! I'm also a huge fan of the Donkey Kong series. ^^; The game is amazingly fun! =D

Huzzah for more singers! What part? =P
And after getting through my first week of a maxed out 18-credit schedule, I am already starting to feel like my workload is going to be the end of me. Thankfully, I have sword team tomorrow, so I can go ahead and slash out my stress (or what's left of it) then... with all 1,000 warm-up cuts...consecutively...

I scored an interview with a chiropractor tomorrow! The hours are great, so I hope I get this. It jives very well with Kurtis's school schedule (having only one car and all). Wish me luck!

Hey hey! Best of luck to ya, Angela! Hope you get it! Last night a massive snowstorm swept through central Oklahoma. Pouring on around 8 inches of snow (Snowdrifts of about 3 feet). On top of that, add windchills of as low as -10. My Mustang does not drive well on icy/snowy roads; and it looks like it won't be until Friday that the temperature get above freezing. :S So yep...I'm not going anywhere for a while.
