Well it depends on ones personal taste. I chose a Ranger this time round, just for a change from being in the heat of the battle.

Hahah, I'm telling you, Forces are the only way to go -- Particularily FOnewms who have auto TP-regen, and 130% damage with Gi and Ra level spells. Or a FOnewearl, who has doubled Resta / Anti Range and effectiveness. Nothing makes me happier than using Rafoie endlessly to mow down waves on oncomers, hehe... particularily with the Amplifier of Rafoie shield, and the little Fire Staff that adds +30% Foie Skill damage. ^^ When I get a good enough PC, I am totally buying this game and paying the subscription. This game is sexiness. Double-scoop ice cream Oh, and PLEASE, people. If any of you are staying online AFTER the free beta expiry, and you find any "Amplifiers of [Techname]", save them for me, since I'm the only force here -- I'd really appreciate it. I can use those to apmplify the effectiveness of my techniques. Kinda makes me saddenend that I can't take my character form the 'Cube version -- Level 55, has the Rare Force Weapons TALIS, MAHU, and the Spike Mace thingy... as well as Lvl 10 Grants and Megid, and Level 12 Base Elemental Spells.... and tons of really good equipment, like 5 Angel/Minds, 7 TP/Restorates, a Level 200 Mag, and over 1000TP, hehe.... ^^ Here's what my character los like, at least will look like when I can get the PC version:  Hahah. That is sexy. Double-scoop ice cream His name is supposed to be Wilburforce, but on the PC version, I can't fit the last letter, whereas I could on the NGC version. >_o I think my least favorite characters on that game are Rangers in general, and HUmars, because Rangers just seem kinda weak compared to Forces and Hunters, and HUmars just can't look good with that horribly stupid outfit. Anyone else wan tto show pics of their characters? I like seeing what people do with them, hehe. :3 |

 there he is. My character on GC is exactly the same as the one I use on PC  ...Except for the fact that my PC character is hideously under levelled, whereas my GC guy is a lot better <_> Picture him with a Mechgun or a PArtizan, and thats basically it. I know.. yellow >_O |

Well, I would be perfectly willing to pay the subscription. However, I want assurance it will not crash while I'm doing something deathly important in it. It did the "psobb.exe has encountered an error and needs to close" while I was doing the AOL Cup with YW and Strangie. I am very annoyed and if it does that with the full version that i'll be paying for, then I will not be happy at all.

Hey, the graphics aren'tthat bad... remember, this game WAS a Dreamcast game originally... Episode II, when available, has significantly better graphics.
As for you, PFY, it's a beta for a reason -- problems to be sorted out, hehe. I will certainly get this and pay the cost as soon as I have a PC capable of runing it, which shouldn't be too long.

Yeah, I guess. Still, I hope these errors are found by Sega also, so they can stop them from happening to more people, or worse, me while I'm doing the AOL cup again. It didn't do it when I went through it by myself. It just started lagging tremendously for 5 minutes, then, it gave me the error. I'll get a subscription. No reason not to.
Yoshi4ever: Not only was this a DC game like Grae stated, the original game is probably 7-8 years old, so you can't expect todays graphics. If you had todays graphics you'd need a 512Mb graphics card, minimum. There's a good $300 - $400 worth of silicon.
Especially of you go for the GeForce Ti series.
Beside, graphics aren't everything. If they were, everyone would declare Yoshi's Island as a rather crap game because it's a sprite based game and not the standard in graphics you'd see today. Same goes with Final Fantasy's 1 - 6. 5 was/is great.
Thought of the day: Why does everyone seem to be a ranger? Because you're safer? Because you can stand well back from a fight and kill your enemy? Swords are better. If you're going to die, go out swinging a sword manically! Gah!

i'm only lv 5 but i'm starting to enjoy this game  Nothing comparred to star wars galaxies or world of warcraft but it costs way less I'll play it untill i can get my subscription for star wars back |

lv5, not bad, once you get to the higher levels, you'll simply love it! Especially when your level 92 and can take off 200+ with a single normal strike! BOOM! XD Anyway, i'm training 2 characters...  Me Ranger, LV20 at the moment, and...  Me Hunter, LV12. They are both called Toshi...i dunno why. |
