The bump he recieved pushed him a little further away from the group, he looks over at the small gathering that were to accompany Vicks on this little adventure, his red, tender eyes were now highly noticeable. He held his arm, rubbing himself over his tatoo on his left arm as though it was aching him. He looked at each one of the Yoshies and looked at the ground, "... i'm gonna die, aren't i?" he sighs...

Gem looked twords Midnight. "Heh, k-kinda hard to mistake anyone e-else here as me." Gem forced a smile, but coughed. "Were y-you poisend too? I sorta just g-got here so I have no idea w-what the hell is going on around h-here. One minute, I'm h-having a good time and the next I f-feel like crap only to discover s-something about poisen f-food and someone said something about d-dieing... " Gem took a deep breath, finding it hard to breath in at all. She then grabbed her head. "And I dunno about you b-but this poisen is effecting my h-head more than anything e-else."

"Yeesh.I don't think I have it that severely.Either way,nobody's gonna die(I said this part loud enough for everyone to hear).It's just...a minor setback.Maybe a bug.Or an accident.You never know."
Something just told me that I would soon hear a bunch of trash like,'You call this coincidence?' or 'You're just denying the truth!' And I was really, really not in the mood.

Moot nodded and responded with "Alright, then." Waiting until he was at the back of the group again, he noticed a couple more people had tagged along with the group, all in various states of affliction. "Jeez. Looks like some of these people will more trouble than they're worth if they get any worse. Some of them should definately stayed back at the hotel.." As he waited for the group to pass, Moot couldn't help but notice Twi glancing over at him from time to time. Moot raised a cynical eyebrow and waited until he was at the very back.
A blue Yoshi passed him, who looked like he was on the verge of a nervous breakdown. Moot called over, and offered his attempt at consolation to what was in his own opinion, a bizarre situation. At least it would make for an interesting anecdote later on... "Relax guy, I'm pretty sure we'll find this cure before anyone bites it. How hard can it be to find a crystal, dunk it in the water supply and get the drinks in? Assuming nobody gets eaten by piranha plants in the meantime, or anything." Thinking for a second, he quickly added "..Hahaha, I hope I didn't jinx anything there..." If he was going to get a lesson in irony, right around now would be the time for it to come up and slap him in the face.

The words he spoke to him didn't exactly help him, he stays silent, not saying a word to him at all, he thought to himself... "Heh, relax... how can one relax? We're poisoned, we're on the verge of death, we'll be lucky to be alive by the time we get there...". Even though the words of Vicks saying that they'd be there by noon if we hurried was reassuring, but he doubted that the group would move quickly in their condition, "... and what about the creatures that may stand before us? Who knows what will tread before our path." Toshi tries to endure the pain he is in as he walks with the group, the poison acting on him quickly...

"I'm not taking any s-sides. All I k-know is that we need to get o-ourselves cured and we will. But I gotta admit," Gem had to take a deep breath. "Walking will be d-difficult to the ones who it e-effected faster." Her voice was raspy but talking always calmed her. She's been in worse situations. Gem rubbed her eyes. "We'll all m-make it." Gem said, just to reassure herself. She coughed a bit.

Blood sighed with relief. "Ah, yes...I do recall sleeping next to a waterfall many times around these parts. I didn't know there was any crystal there, however. Learn something new every day, I suppose. The monkeys shouldn't be too much of a problem, all that they'll really try to do is poke fun at us and steal our stuff and whatnot. Watch your pockets, Vicky...At least there are very few actual, dangerous enemies around."

Now at the back, Twi started watching the pack ahead, he stood next to Moot as they walked (or hovered in Moot's case) towards whereever they were heading, Twi really didn't care, as long as there was a cure, it was fine.
He finally decided to trust Moot, trust in to loosest form anyway, Twi rarely trusted anyone fully, but he decided Moot was just lucky not to take any, rather than knowing anything, he didn't seem to bright, made some really bad jokes sometimes, although any joke according to Twi was bad, no sence of humour.
"Why are you here, Moot, just out of interest. You weren't affected, surely you'd want to continue your vacation rather than be left helping these people, I sure as hell would." Twi had never come across someone who would willfully help, he HAD to help to be saved, but not Moot, he could just leave now, why would he put his life on the line for others, Twi found it strange, but no-one else did.
Twi just walked on next to Moot, looking miffed as usual, but his eyes not having the glow they once had.

For the entire journey through the forest, Enrique tried to keep up his optimism that the group would find the crystal to purify the water before the majority of the people affected, including himself, bit the dust. This optimism helped distract him of his splitting headache that he suffered. He managed to look at the others, who had somewhat disturbed looks on their faces; he figured that they weren't so optimistic.
Hel let himself think about the leader of the group, Vicks, for a while. He recalled Vicks saying that the poison was quicker than one would normally think and that the Yoshies would be put out of their misery three days into their poisonous tenure. This and the fact that Vicks was not affected made Enrique somewhat suspicious of him. "That dude has this whole thing planned out. He's going to let us on a wild goose hunt for this crystal, then kill us trying to retrieve it." Enrique later decided that that thought was a bit random and very likely invalid, but he did keep it in the back of his mind. Not knowing what will happen next, he continued following Vicks, checking on Yoshee every once in a while to make sure she wasn't in a position to collapse at any moment.

I noticed that guy with the striped hat glancing at me every now and then. "I... I'm fine. Don't worry about me, heheh," I reassured him. I held back a cough, trying to look the least affected when I very well knew I could be the most. My stomachache got worse as time went on, even though for some their weariness seemed to be... well, wearing off. I stumbled every now and then on rocks the people in the front seemed to easily dodge. Time seemed to slow down as my head began pounding. This hike is taking forever... I thought gloomily to myself. But I had to keep going. I wouldn't be the weak one here.

Moot hesitated before answering, mainly down to not expecting anyone to address him directly. So far it seemed to him like people were barking orders rather than actual talking. Then again, Moot wasn't one for listening to what others had to say. Maybe it was guest hospitality.
Moot kind of leaned back for a while, and placed his hands behind his head for a moment. "I don't know really. I guess sitting back and relaxing while an entire island is at risk of dropping dead would put a real damper on my vacation time. That, and its not like I'd be doing a deal else apart from lazing around the place." Dropping his arms back into a shrug, he finished off his sentence, "Also there'd be nobody left to sort out my room service..."
Trailing off, Moot made a quick check of the surrounding area, expecting to see something other than repetitive scenery by now. "Didn't somebody say there was meant to be creatures living in this place? So far it seems pretty quiet." Saying that, its not like Moot wanted to be set upon by hundreds of hostile plants, or bugs, or whatever there was on this island. Right now anything would probably make this tedious trek - even considering the current situation - a little more interesting to him.

"Yea, I agree with him. It seems quiet...I don't see anything that'll pose a threat..." Jay kept looking around. Nothing bad was happening, yet...'Man, stupid fruit...' All of a sudden, pain shot from Jay's stomach. He slowed down holding his stomach. "Man...I rathered be killed by a Dragon than suffer this...ugh...pain." The pain quickly subsided. "How long will it take to get there?"

Vicks continued on forward, setting a pace the others could follow, but not giving an inch for comfort, "Amost there.." he glanced up to check the time by the sun, "Almost there...What the hell?" and slowed for a moment, staring at the sky, "The moon's out...", he looked back down, and shrugged, continuing the hike. It wasn't uncommon for the moon to be out in the morning, but this late into it... He didn't put much thought to it, as they tromped through monkey territory. "...Guess the monkeys got hit with the poison too.." he looked around, no monkeys to be seen, dead OR alive. "It wouldn't kill them, but should make 'em sick for a good while, haha."

"Yeah, that's fantastic that the monkeys won't have too much of a problem dying, but I think it's us that's the main issue here, so let's focus on that. Like when we're going to get to these crystal things you're talking about," Strangie said. He was disappointed he wouldn't get to beat something up, but alas... The poison was starting to aggravate him a little more, feeling more discomfort in his stomach as time passed. He cursed his own stupidity for trying to take a vacation in the first place and pressed on.

I was just following the group, keeping my distance, but I was still in the backround, following the whole group. I was one of the few who had avoided eating the fruit, but that didn't mean I couldn't help out. In fact, my chance to help would come up. One of the yoshi's was starting to stragle. It wasn't imminent, but something seemed familiar. By the smell, it was the same yoshi as last night who got in the crash. By the looks, nothing seemed to be unique except for three yellow spikes instead of red. Apparently, she was being hit the worse by the poison. Hmmm, I'll keep an eye on her from back here...
Over near the front of the group, I could hear discussion of how the poison didn't affect humans as badly, and just made monkeys sick. Guess it must be because humans are a good part monkey, and silently, but surely, a quiet chuckle-fit ensued at my own joke. If it attracted attention, I didn't know, I began to look at the landscape with a smile after the small laughs I had. Hey, the moon's still out! I've seen it come up in day, but wouldn't the speed it rotates around the Earth keep it from staying up so long? Or am I wrong and the moon does this every once in awhile? We had a full moon the whole night yesterday, it should have set and gone to China by now...

Mott's answer seemed reasonably, as well as the first funny(ish) joke he'd made about room service, Twi couldn't help but make a small chuckle, but he still continued seriously. Nothing around and the moon was out now, but it hadn't been that long since they started, why was the moon out.
Twi ignored it and continued at the back with Moot, he just remembered about his claw again and checked his cape was still there, it was fortunately.
Something intrigued him about the humans, he always thought humans were taller, but evidently not. Though one was an ice climber, Twi thought it'd be better for people who climbed harsh mountain sides to be tall. And why was the ice-climber called Strangie? Either he had really mean parents or that wasn't his real name, maybe he could find out later, for now he had something else to deal with.

Toshi glanced around, the place they were in was quiet... too quiet for his own liking. He continues to follow, keeping himself at the back so he knew no one was looking at him... maybe except for the strange creature who was asked to bring up the rear. He peeked over his shoulder at him, but suddenly stopped, clasping his paw onto his arm tightly, just where his tatoo was, "Augh... the... pain..." then another shooting pain at his chest, it felt as though his heart was going to explode inside him. Even though the pain was overwhelming, he tries to endure it and walks on again, starting to breathe out heavily as he slowly breaks into a sweat, "What the hell was in this dam poison?" he thought to himself...
His attention was soon directed towards the sky, noticing that the moon had appeared, which was indeed not uncommon, but it sure was rather odd seeing it out this late in the morning. He was beginning to get a bad idea about all of this... something didn't feel right... he also wondered about the monkeys Vicks pointed out that were supposed to be present within the area, but none could be seen whatsoever... is that the reason why it's so quiet here?

Enrique started to feel dizzier by the minute; his little bit of optimism and thought couldn't distract himself from the pain of his headache anymore. It also couldn't keep him from noticing a sharp, acute pain in his stomach. His heart also felt like it was beating on his ribcage in his chest. Enrique felt like he was going to die then and there; forget the three days that Vicks said; Enrique had felt as if he received the flu and sickle cell anemia all at once.
He made an attempt to ignore the pain by staring up at the sky and observing the moon. It was quite late in the day for the moon to be still shining in the air. The moon's recent events - last night's appearance of unusual size included - start to make Enrique think about how this whole epidemic came along. "No, it's probably just a coincidence... The fact that we're all dying out here can't be because of the moon doing crazy things lately..." Possibly this belief that the moon's strange appearance is just a coincidence was a product of Enrique's denial of supernatural phenomena.

Uh oh, some people seem to be starting to need help. I can help two people walk, but three? Oh boy, thank goodness they have me trailing in the back. As the little noticable hiker in the back-back, I had a good view on who could walk and who was about to eat dirt. The people who seemed to be weakening were the green yoshi with yellow spikes, who seemed to be affected the most, and the blue yoshi, although maybe not as severly. The Cyan yoshi might need help too, and the rest maybe when the poison affected them more. God, I just hope there aren't any vultures around here.

Gem grabbed her head in pain. She couldn't even walk a straight line anymore. She also gave up on talking since she needs to breath in and out a few times after every few words. She fell a little more behind Midnight, not being able to catch up and was now near the back. 'The poisen may kill off a yoshi in 3 days, but what about a chameleon? I'm sorta hoping shorter 'cause this pain is horrible. Why didn't I just decide to sleep all day like I planned?' Gem, not being able to see clearly at all, stummbled then fell over a rock in the way. "Errrrr... Like pains inside of me weren't enough." She got up, just to fall over agian.
