Vicks turned his head to notice Twi running after them, "Decided to join us, did you? Hm, well, listen up. The forest isn't that dangerous of a place. However, it's not safe to go in alone. Shy Guys, Goonies, Pirahna Plants, the works live in that place, and they love to feed on lone travelers. We stick together as a group, we survive. Are the others coming, too? We should get a move on, It appears to almost be 7:30 AM.."

"I don't know about everyone else, but I'll be right with you all the way," Strangie said to Vicks as he kept up. Shy Guys? Goonies? Pirahna Plants? OH NOES! Not really. Strangie didn't see these creatures as much of a threat, at least if they were the same as they used to be... regardless, he ignored his illness as he ran, hoping he'd get this over with before it started draining his physical ability or worse.

((typical, I don't get access to my computer for 20 hours and everyone leaves without me D:))
Up to this point Moot had kept himself mostly quiet, save for asking a couple of people in the lobby what exactly can cure this poison. It seemed a few people were already suspicious of him, due to them not exactly being forthcoming with answers. That, and apparently Twi had it in for him now also. Knowing his luck, the populace probably thought he was going to steal this crystal shard, or whatever they were supposed to be looking for. Nonetheless he kept his mouth shut and tagged along with the group.
Unfortunately for him, being the only unaffected one, this probably meant he was going to be at the front of the group, taking care of... "Piranha plants? Did I hear that properly? I almost hate to think what other bizarre creatures you have on this island. I should have stayed at the beach!" Moving up through the group - passing a few people in the middle of dry heaving - Moot took place at the front of the crowd keeping an eye out for anything out of the ordinary.

Oh, and on a side note, next week I won't be on due to school. )
I stumbled along, a few feet behind Vicks, hoping I didn't look too weak as I was. Come on, I can make it... it's just a little hike. I do this all the time! I encouraged myself.
Then again, maybe I couldn't... I had to lean against a tree and catch my breath now and then, but I made sure I didn't fall too far behind.
That cat thing... I had seen it the day before. Lucky for him, he didn't appear to be sick. And the red Yoshi had seemed to overcome his queasiness, which made me feel weaker. I frowned and stood up, managing to catch up and pace myself as Vicks did, walking just behind him to his left.
"Hey... three days to live? Tha-that should be more than enough, right?" I gasped.

Enrique struggled to keep his balance while Vicks and the other ill followers approached the forest. He still had a splitting headache, but he slightly offset the pain with optimism of clean water to be availiable soon. He hoped that the headache would soon go away; the constant dizziness didn't help that much. Eventually, Enrique slowed down a little bit, and his sense of balance started to return. As soon as he got to the point where he could walk in a straight line rather than weaving all over the place, he jogged up toward the front near Vicks, and followed behind him slightly to the right.
"I'm right behing you, Vicks. And I'm not stumbling all over the place. I should be fine in terms of walking for a while," he informed Vicks, knowing that a person caught way behind could be in serious danger.

Well,I could tell you right now that I didn't exactly have a wonderful evening.I'd had a pretty sucky dream,involving being behind the wheel of an out-of-control car,and driving off of a bridge into the ocean.And,to top it all off,I felt like crap,too.And now,looking out my hotel window,I saw a large,migrating group of complainers,meaning that,in my illness,I may not have been alone...I decided to follow them.
Straggling behind the line of creatures,my introductory statement was,"Hey.Do any of you guys feel like crap,by any chance?"
Maybe not smooth or graceful,but have I ever been?

Vicks looked back again, and hmmed, turning to moot, "You seem to be the only other one unaffected. Why don'tchya cover the back, I'll cover the front just in case." he looked around at the ragtag band, and then at Enrique and Yoshee at his sides, "Guys, fall back a little, lemme lead. I'm not weakened, and she...it looks like if she takes a hit she's gonna snap like a twig." and with that, he shifted his backpack, waiting for everyone to group up, "You two! The humans, I want the one with the katana in back, and you, bare-hands, can you fight?"

"Of course I can fight!" Strangie replied almost instantly, showing off a little quick one-two jab at the air. "You tell me what you want me to do, where you want me to go, consider it done."
Oh yes. Despite the poison annoying him, his time to lay the smack down on something was coming closer. He could take his anger out from the entire situation on anything that comes in his way. Oh, the fun to be had...

Blood frowned and ran up ahead with Vicks. "Hey now! Let me stay up with you! I don't feel too bad, for now, at least." Blood hated to be stuck in the background, he wanted nothing more than to lend a hand and finish this off as quickly as possible.
"I'm sure there's something I can do to assist..."

Enrique would be foolish to ignore Vicks's commands; thus, he slowed down a little bit so that he could follow Vicks so that Vicks had a six foot lead on Enrique. Enrique was sick and had no clue what Vicks was up to, but he did trust Vicks that he, as well as the rest of the crew following him, would find a way to be cured. Besides, if anything were to attack Enrique, he would be practically defenseless. "Your wish is my command, Vicks," he informed the head of the pack.
Meanwhile, the headache that Enrique had seemed to deteriorate; he was uncertain if this was that the headache was actually letting up or if he was distracted enough not to worry about it; he didn't really care; as long as it wasn't affecting him so much that he was going to hold the rest up to help him, he would be fine with it. The dizziness that he suffered had the same effect, and the same uncertainty.

Vicks was apparently leading the group the way Blood had gone through to get to the village in the first place, straight into the heart of the jungle. Blood recalled the fact that he had learned just about everything about the place in all his years of wandering. Safe hiding places, locations of caverns and secret passageways, traps that monsters used to capture and devour innocent travelers and so forth. He smiled. Maybe I'm not completely useless... He spoke to Vicks, he felt he had to warn him.
"Hey! Victoria!" Blood yelled as he jogged to catch up with him. "You do know where you're going, right? If we keep down this path, we'll be heading through the monkey habitats, walk a little further and we'll be walking straight through the camps of the Rhythmn Guys, and I don't think you even want to try swimming across Nep-Enuts' lake. Anyway, you're positive this is the right path? If you can describe what our final destination looks like, I may be able to find alternate route. One that's not so dangerous, especially since the lake is a lot like a dead-end..."

Well, you didn't even hear why they're taking this long journey, but apparently you're in it. Good luck. Still clutching my bag, trailing about a good dozen feet behind the main group, we had entered the jungle. I need to find something to eat, I haven't eaten in forever, but first... let's see what these guys are up to. And with that, I silently trudged along...

(I'm somewhere in the middle looking pretty angry as usual. I was too tired to do much last night, so much happens in so little tome D=)
Twi saw as the pack started to shift around with people at the front and back to cover stuff. No-one had asked Twi to help, which had annoyed him immencely, just because he's ill doesn't mean he can kill anything. Vicks annoyed him the most, he soon realised Moot was a pretty clueless fellow about the whole thing, so he assumed he was just lucky not to take any fruit, nonetheless he'll keep a slight eye on him, but his suspicions died down. Vicks, however, got him annoyed and he may have to really hurt him, Vicks may be tall, but Twi is still taller, and if all else fails, he may have to unveil him claw, though he relaly does not want to.
Twi was rather annoyed he had to walk slowly because of the others in the pack, his longer legs meant he could walk much fast, but he dropped back next to Moot, who seemed the only person he knew and could talk to, as much as he couldn't trust him. If he stayed at the back, at least he couldn't be seen by anyone.

(Okay... Pretend that I was just doing... stuff.)
"Uhhhhh..." Gem, still unaware that the poisen fruit even existed, was getting sick. The poisen is travling faster in her chameleon body than in just a yoshi. She walked in zigzags and her eyes were almost pure red. She spotted Vick and the other yoshies and creatures and noticed they were heading somewere. She decided if they knew what is happening. "Hey!" She klutzly walked over. "D-do you k-know what's going o-on?" She coughed and rubbed her eyes which were now all red due to her pupil-lessness. Her breathing was getting weird too, it was heavy and rasp sounding. What was weird though is that her colors changed from the tropical look to a dull, dull, dull grey, which is the sign of a sick or even dying chameleon from were she comes from. She shivered.

(I missed a lot too, but am i complaining?)
Sticking to the middle of the group, Toshi was starting to feel a little weaker than usual, he tried to keep it to himself, he may be pisoned, but he still has the energy to do what any normal Yoshi could do. He looked around at the group, a few he recognised at he festival yesterday, but being the usual shy self he is, didn't say anything. He kept himself away from the human within the group, although he pretty much kept his distance away from everyone.

Vicks shook his head, "We won't be travelling straight. There's a large resevoir in the river where a large lump of crystal is. It's hard to see because it's set into a waterfall, but we're gonna head through the monkey habitat and then dead north.. Stay behind me and..Strangie, was it? You may be able, but I don't wanna take any chances with anyone," he turned his head back to Jay, "And fine! I didn't catch your name in the fuss earlier," Vicks shook his head at the others who showed irritation with his decisions, "Just keep Yoshee in the middle, she seems the weakest. This poison debilitates you more than 'ya might think!", and with that, he faced the jungle, "Northeast until we clear the monkeys, and then straight north until we hit the resevoir. We should be able to get more crystal there."

"P-poisen? POISEN-N!?!" She gasped for air after that sudden outburst and held her forehead. "Great. S-so I guess that w-we're looking for a c-cure. Count m-me in. I d-don't wanna die b-before my 16th or even 13th birthday!" Gem said followed by a few coughs and then a forced smile, guessing she was certainly the youngest at the age of 12. "I d-don't know how much h-help I can b-be." She may be a grey color, but her face was dark pink with a fever. She walked twords the back. She bumped into Toshi by accident. "Uh, sorry.' She looked up and saw triple of everything and rubbed her eyes. "This p-poisen really going to m-my head." She got up and found her place in the group.

Hey!It was that chameleon chick I recognized!At least I knew I wasn't completely among strangers.Now,I have this thing about sick people,where,if they're sicker than me,or,if I'm not sick,I have to hold my breath as I pass them.It's just a weird habit of mine.But,figuring that I already felt like crap as it was,I might as well take a chance approaching this chameleon.Heck,she was the only one that even bothered to address me.
"Didn't I see you earlier?"I inquired,making sure this was the right chameleon.
