Law and his closest comrades look over the newly-constructed capital of Lawilia from their castle keep balcony.
"Ah, yes..." Law said, long coat swaying in the wind a little. "Isn't it grand? This city shall be the starting point of our campaign. From here, we overlook the entire continent," he continues, spreading his arms out and looking up at the sky a little, "With only the wind to our backs."
"Actually..." said the Bumpty advisor, Namey, holding a map. "Not just the wind, but there's actually an unclaimed territory just to the south that we overlooked. It'd be perfect for helping us to get our economy going much more quickly." He pointed at a space underneath Lawilia's emblem on the map.
"Hmm..." Law rubbed his chin a little. "It seems to be inaccessable to all but us. We shall claim it as our own and use it to further our cause. Strangie!" Law snapped his fingers, and his human-ish second in command stood to attention.
"Hey, wassup?" he simply replied.
"See this land?" Law said, yoinking the map away from Namey's fin and pointing at the blankness to the south of Lawilia. "I want you to send some men to this land and build a settlement there. We shall use it's resources to help begin our quest. It is rightfully ours to claim - nobody else will be able to touch it from our position."
"You got it!" Strangie said, saluting, and walked off.
"... wait." Law stopped him.
Strangie stopped dead in his tracks, only having taken two steps. "Huh? What?"
"I have a better idea," Law said. "Nobody will be able to touch that land where we are, right? If we are to avoid being boxed in, we must take the land to the north of us first and go from there. Afterwards, we may move men to the unclaimed land to the south."
"Okay! I get it. I'll take a few squads and supplies and tell them to head up north, then. Gotcha," Strangie said, then walked off again.
"If we are to spread our cause, we must make sure we are not confined to one area! Thus, this is how we shall begin our quest," Law finished, turning back into the keep and motioning to his comrades to follow, disappearing into the darkness. --- GAME ACTIONS 8 Troop, 2 food sent from 29 to 33 (Turn Over)

Yoshee gazed with a somewhat pained gaze over her new nation. It was a bad spot to begin with- trapped in on three sides, with only one direction with which to expand. I'll have to use that to our advantage. If we build up our defenses, it would be harder to attack us all bottled up on one side. We can outfight almost anyone on one front, I bet, She thought to herself. "Young general!" A warrior-in-training came up to me. "Shall we begin an advance?" They had heard of her plans, at least. Yoshee nodded a little nervously. Being in charge of lives would take a lot of getting used to... Yoshee pointed at an area northeast of the capital on a chart that covered a wall. Other empires were being filled in as they were discovered. So far she had charted Lawlia, as it was the closest to her kingdom. She might have to watch out for them in the long run... "Tell seven troops to take two food units to Area Twenty-seven," Yoshee commanded, and the young warrior quickly complied. Yoshee turned to study the map again, frowning. No one ever said taking care of a country would be easy, she supposed. She felt very small.

Jonus Angellus took a deep breath as he stood before the large silver-plated double doors of the Neuropa’s main council chamber, lovingly dubbed the “Evil Dark Room” by the building’s attendants as the video screens that lined the walls of the room had an eerie tendency to overshadow everyone’s appearances – turning them into faceless silhouettes. Shuddering as he slid in, Jonus quietly took his seat at the grand table, which appeared to be painted jet black as the screens in the room randomly bombarded him with different images ranging from advertisements to logos to surveillance videos of the building, the Corponation and possibly even other nations as well.
Before he could say another word the screens abruptly shut off, the room going pitch black before Main Screen Turn On, broadcasting Lazo’s speech to the general public.
“To fulfill its responsibility for protecting this nation against foreign enemies, the Army must project its planning beyond the immediate future. In this connection I feel that I have a duty, a responsibility, to present publicly at this time my conception, from a military point of view, of what is required to prevent another international catastrophe.
For years men have been concerned with individual security. Modern nations have given considerable study and effort to the establishment of social security systems for those unable or unwise enough to provide for themselves. But effective insurance against the disasters of which have slaughtered millions of people and leveled their homes is long overdue.
We finish each bloody war with a feeling of acute revulsion against this savage form of behavior, and yet on each occasion we confuse military preparedness with the causes of war and then drift almost deliberately into another catastrophe. This error of judgment was defined long ago; they proposed to endow this nation at the outset with a policy which should have been a reasonable guarantee of our security for centuries. The cost of refusing this guidance is recorded in the sacrifice of life and in the accumulation of debts. We have continued being impractical. We have ignored the hard realities of world affairs. We have been purely idealistic.
In order to establish an international system for preventing wars, peace loving peoples of the world are demonstrating an eagerness to send their representatives to conferences with the fervent hope that they may find a practical solution. Yet, until it is proved that such a solution has been found to prevent wars, a rich nation which lays down its arms as we have done after every single war in our history will court disaster. The existence of the complex and fearful instruments of destruction now available makes this a simple truth, which is, in my opinion, undebatable.
It no longer appears practical to continue what we once conceived as a hemispheric defense as a satisfactory basis for our security. We are now concerned with the peace of the entire world. And the peace can only be maintained by the strong.”
The broadcast flickered off, the screen replaced by an advertisement for the fabulous Golden Nugget casino, boasting the latest in high-tech gambling entertainment. Jonus looked around to the silhouettes around him, all silent as they took in the words, some slowly nodding their heads while others sitting completely still.
“Send out Miles O’Smiles.” A figure to his left finally spoke up “Our factories are just beginning to be converted from civilian to military operations and he is the one best suited to manage our forces at this time.”

Yoshiken raised himself up from his chair, "I have summoned you all here for one reason. The time is now, our economy has started to raise itself up to a positive level from the spending we have undertaken, and our farming communities finally had that rain that they have been praying for. It is time to expand gentleman, we must not allow ourselves to reduce the potential our nation has. Ivan, I turn the time over to you."
Ivan pulled out a map that looked fresh, with the ink still not completely dry. "I hold here a map made by the fine artisans of our kingdom. It shows our continent, its occupants, and the borders they hold at the moment. As you can see, there is prime territory to the north, and to the south. However, our expansion will focus southward, where the plains are held. Any questions?"
"That would be me," Dante replied, "What about our neighbor in the west, the Kingdom of Alressor, we do not know much about them. For all we know, they could be hostile."
Yoshiken pondered the situation, "Yes, we must watch them....but thats not the problem I see. I just noticed that we will be at a disadvantage in a short time with all of the other nations. Please, I must retire to my quarters and meditate on the matter. You are all dismissed."
Yoshiken lowered his head as he walked towards his room. "Yes...that seems to be the only way."

In a "perfect," peaceful world, Mantasthia would be as close to paradise as possible. The most technologically advanced nation in the land, a few scientists and scholars have the capacity to fuel an entire world of all of needs. A few days earlier, Enrique Rzlowieszczyk was delighted at the news that the nation's best chemists have developed a material that satisfies a major need in any society: energy. This material, an extremely large, extremely radioactive element, had the ability to reconstruct itself from its own decay. They named this element Niewkarczium, after Ryszard Niewkarczyk, a famous Mantasthian chemist from a century ago. This historic discovery allowed for energy to become incredibly cheap, and for the nation to not depend on foreign sources of energy nearly as it did. No one would even consider this as a weapon.
However, this isn't a "perfect," peaceful world. Yinguredsath woke up with the generals at its feet.
Riano Wladziek, Enrique Rzlowieszczyk's chief advisor and best friend, gave Enrique his worst nightmare - except that his one is true. "Enrique, horrible news. It seems that these 'idiot' politicians from outside the borders fear us. Apparently, our Niewkarczium has people thinking weapons of mass destruction."
Enrique was stunned. "That is a preposterous idea! That material is for energy purposes, not warfare. Besides, we don't do much warfare here."
Riano replied quickly. "Well, today would be a good day to start. You have no idea when those punks are going to declare war on us on a misunderstanding. We only have a limited amount of defenses here in Yinguredsath. We're going to have to spread a little thin until we can get some recruits."
Enrique started to consider the idea of war. "Did you talk to Dhalriyen about this?" Palikir Dhalriyen is Mantasthia's military advisor and vice commander.
Riano nodded. "Yep. He said to give him the word when you're ready."
Enrique replied. "We can't waste any time now. Tell him to get some soldiers in the empty area to the north of us and to maximize recruiting efforts. Oh, and get me everything that you found concerning this."
"I'm on it, sir." Riano walked out of Enrique's office.
After Riano left Enrique's office, Enrique quickly started writing down a speech. He was going to have to address his nation soon.

Toshi stood upon a hill, his spear across his back, gazing upon the distant greenland of his region. The wind blowing through him softly, causing him to close his eyes partially. Behind him, a red yoshi stood with his hunters bow, his hair flapping within the wind. "What are you thinking of Toshi?" Toshi turned his head to look at the red yoshi, "Such a peaceful place, is it not, Mishi?" Mishi nods slowly, "Sure is...". Toshi looked across the plains once again, "Such a shame not everywhere in the world is the same..." Mishi walked to Toshi's side, he too admiring the view of this peaceful region "Indeed... that is why we are doing this, correct?" Toshi nods "Yes, that is why... i'd hate to think that the world will be overrun by some demonic, power thirsty moron" He clenches his fist tightly, turning towards his troops "Alright... we must keep ourselves balanced as much as possible... however, we must be abe to advance onwards..." He turns to Mishi, then back at his troops. Mishi grins "Let's do this, for Cassapia, and world peace!"

A lone orange yoshi walked through the halls of the modest looking building. Nothing was flashy about it, nothing grandiose; which for an infrastructure housing the new ruler of this up and rising kingdom was quite something. Having been around since the start of talks concerning founding a new kingdom, he would have imagined that steps would have been taken to make things seem more, how to say, imposing. Hearing a noise of a weapon being tapped on the floor, he rose his head, only to find a lone guard keeping duty in front of the throne room doors.
"State your business," the dark blue yoshi clad in near full armour stated, quite sternly.
"I've come to report to his lordship about my scouting, as per requested by him." Not sooner than the orange yoshi was done talking, he produced a small, formal looking paper, signed by Sky himself.
Without saying a word, and after a short glance from the guard, he retreated his weapon, granting access. The orange yoshi smiled, almost mocking the guard with a sneer thank you, and entered.
There isn't much to talk about the throne room either. Very simple, architerural and artistery-wise, it almost seems like any other room. The only dominant difference being a lone throne in the back of the room, set up there for political reasons more than anything else. A small, green yoshi stood beside the throne, Sky's personal advisor, voted by the commitee formed by the movers of this new kingdom. Two doors on the back wall, one to the left of the throne, the other to the right also came into his view, as he looked around.
"His lordship is not here?"
"Lord Sky had some dealings to take care of, and is not present for the time being. I am to act on his behalf, following his instructions." replied the green yoshi, with a tone of a fine speaker.
"Hmm, well, I've come to report about our surrounding neighbours. To the east, Syllvace seems like a kingdom ruled by a king following a strict code of honour, although I do not know their intentions in our regards. They seem to have started procedures to mobolize their troops, but I could not stay long enough to know the reason, and where they are headed. There is also another, southernbound, the kingdom of Xenerex. I could get very little information of them, all I do know is that they seem to be aggressive, but without dubbing them as stupid, they seem to be ruled by someone who knows what he's doing."
"I see, we will not have to worry immediately about Syllvace. An emissary has already been sent in order to negotiate with their ruler about a mutual agreement. If all goes well, we will not have to fear the east. The south does not concern us for the time being, they are not at our doorstep, though we shall keep watch of the situation. I thank you for your report and you shall be rewarded appropriately. Now please, I must carry out our Lord's wishes. Excuse me."
"Of course, I shall continue my duties."
They both bow their heads to each other, and the orange yoshi takes his leave, leaving the green one be for now. The green one retires in the right back room, closing the door, thinking to himself, "If this doesn't work, it'll be over before it even starts, I pray for our Lord's success. Grab the north he said, I can understand his viewpoint, although...

Twi stared at a large table with a map on it pondering over his new empire's plans. He looked at his position and how he was surrounded by foes. It was not good and Twi was restless.
"2 armies to the north, two to the south. There will not be any battles now, so I am safe for now, although this army at section 40 could attack me very fast, as well as at section 29. But this army at number 40 can help me, and I may be invaluable to them."
He paces around the war-room with his advisor at his side. His spear jangled on his back and he held he rifle low as he paced.
"If I may make a suggestion, sire." said the adviser Locusq "You may." "Section 40 and 41 are both invaluable to us, maybe you should try allying both?" "Hmm, I think one shall do. Section 41 isn't in a great possition and exposed from many areas, but I'm certain they have a crafty leader who will probably take north. I'm sure they've signed ceasefire with Section 40 and so there will be no conflict and so no threat. Get Vehementa to go to Section 40 and try and negociate a treaty. Meanwhile our conquest shall continue east and north, if all goes well, this will be a good start."
Locusq bows to Twi and leaves out the war-room. He talks to a tall female yoshi with blue hair and leather armour with some plate parts. She carries a large rifle on her back and two swords on her belt and she nods to the mutated Locusq before walking away to section 40.
--------- Log #1
I have decided, after a poor choice of start position, I hav decided to send 5 troops to section 38 in the north along with 2 food rations. My emissary, Vehementa, has gone to negotiate a treaty with the lord of section 40. If all goes well this will be a fine day.
The troops seem to have settled nicely and set up barracks in the city walls. A slight problem with the oven meant that they ate their gruel cold. The men were not pleased. --------- 5 men and 2 food to section 38 --------- END OF TURN

"We have acquired the region north of our capital without problems. This is good so far. Now we are not cut off from the rest of the continent. However, there are still many things to be done. Strangie!" Law said, pointing at his humanish friend.
"Yo."
"NOW, I want you to send a few men from the capital to the region to the south for us to acquire," Law asked.
"You got it! Again." Strangie walked off to do his duty.

A blue Yoshi wearing a vest turned to Law. The diplomat. "Yes, sir! Without a doubt. We're ready for expansion."
"Good," Law replied. "Send a few men and supplies to region 32, but keep an eye out for forces in the south. Remember, avoid a conflict if you can. I don't want problems here! Make sure all forces are well-fed and on the defensive."
"Of course," Louis replied, walking off into the shadows.
The bumpty comrade, Namey, approached Law. "One more thing."
"Yes, Namey?" Law turned and looked down at his penguin friend.
"I suggest we make a treaty with the forces of Syllvace to the north. They're right on top of us! We're more or less surrounded on all sides here..."
Law turned away from Namey, looking out to the north. "I see. I'm not sure how our current position in the continent got approved. Huh... well, whatever. I shall talk with that leader. To most of Mantasthia, today would start as a normal day. However, the government headquarters in Yinguredsath had become as busy as it has ever been. Palikir Dhalriyen approached Enrique Rzlowieszczyk in confidence that Mantasthia's army will be more than sufficient. "Recruiting efforts are great, sir."
Enrique responded contently. "Great, Palikir. I want as many as I can in Transcitil. It will be the biggest defense outlet that we have. Also, get someone in the area west of us; the resources there should help us."
"Very well, sir." Dhalriyen replied. He would return to his office and placed a call to the municipal headquarters in Transcitil.
As for Enrique Rzlowieszczyk, he would address the citizens promptly after his brief meeting with Dhalriyen. "Fellow Mantasthians, recently, we have achieved a great scientific breakthrough, solving a great portion of our energy issues. However, it seems as if our neighbors have misunderstood our efforts as the fuel to weapons of mass destruction. We are doing all that we can for our nation's security. All I ask is that you all do not panic, as my friend Palikir Dhalriyen and I are actively working on our defenses. I assure you all that we will have the safest nation in the land."

Lord General Militant Miles O'Smiles chuckled as he looked over his columns of Toxin Tractors and squads of soldiers, the grinning red yoshi making a sweeping motion with his arm before turning back to a nearby Jr. officer "And what about you?" he asked, not quite rhetorically yet not expecting an answer either, "Are you ready to die for me?!" His grin widened with the soldier's clear disturbance, leaning closer and wrapping an arm around him.
"You hear grand speech and think everything good and picture perfect, all made clear, yes?" He straightened up and roughly patted the officer on the back. "With motives that are made pure. Attacking for security we are, maybe, but I know them well. Well enough, you see." He stepped back and motioned dramatically towards the bulk of the army "They tell troops what they want hear, troops go out and die without questions. Just as they should. Let me tell you secret."
"It is always possible to learn what one likes," said O'Smiles, once again leaning closer to the officer. "There is always a way." His demeaner immediatly changed afterwords, his tone becoming serious. "Nothing is far and nothing is near, if one desires. This world is little, people are little, life is little. There is only one big thing - desire. And before it, when it is big, all is little. It brought you here in little shoes, und so weiter." He placed a hand firmly on the officers back and shoved him towards the Tractor column, whispering the orders to proceed, gravely turning around and looking back toward Neuropa's capital, the city's skyscrapers still visible in the distance.

"Vehementa isn't back yet?" "No sire, not yet." "Hmm... Well we can't wait any longer, we need to conquer more land before others. The next tactical place?" "Well section 39 will help us get straight to 16 in the west AND able to block off the armies of Section 40, what do you think?"
Twi looked at the map and how it was tactically good. But it also meant there could be conflict soon. He considered the options. There were two choices depending on whether the treaty with Yoshiken would go ok or not. He decided on a risky strategy.
"Send 3 men from here to 38, 5 men from 38 to 39. Train 2 more people and send them to 39 along with 2 food rations. Send one food rations across from 38 to 39 and buy another food rations for 34. That should be enough for now."
"As you wish, sire" Locusq left the war room and Twi stared at the map some more, his cape blew in the draft that had come into the war-room and he brushed his hand along his hair. He then looked at his rifle. This could make or break Xenerex. He could hear some troops outside starting to leave with the upmost efficency. War may be upon them. ---------- Log 2
This day was not a good day. Tactically it was difficult to know what to do but it should go ok if Vehementa comes back with good news. I decided to continue my conquest and sent out my spy to look around sections 41 and 42. I've decided I need troops in 39 so I've now trained 3 troops for 1200 gold. I've also sent 3 troops from section 34 to section 38 and 5 troops from section 38 to 39 and also put 2 of the 3 troops I trained into section 39. For food rations I bought 2 for 600 gold and put them in section 39 along with sending one food from 38 to 39 which I thought would be a good idea.
The troops are starting to get some mutations. I think it's the dark aura around our troops and cities from the evil that we are. Or it's the cold gruel from yesterday. Hmm.

There was a huge pounding at the throne room door, someone seemed quite angered and eager to come in, and for the guard to not halt this bashful action, Sky's personal advisor knew who had come to seek an audiance, giving a sigh.
"Enter, Maldorir." beckoned the green yoshi. No sooner than that statement was spoken, an angry looking red yoshi in full armour burst in, looking around quickly before setting his eyes on the lone green yoshi.
"Ardonis, Where is Sky?!" demanded Maldorir in a rashful tone. The green yoshi cringed inside, that sounded to him more like a military order more than a simple question.
"Hold your tongue, it's Lord Sky, please show some respect."
"Yeah, Yeah, where is he?!" Maldorir barks.
"Evidently, not here. He has quite a few meetings to attend, and I am appointed by him to carry out his wishes until he ret--" Not even being able to finish, Maldorir interrupts.
"Xenerex made its move, troops were spotted claiming land near our southern borders. Time has come to act!!"
"Hold, Maldorir, hold. What do you plan to accomplish by that? And with the forces under your wing, you know more than anyone we can't afford to do th--" Again, Maldorir simply cuts him off.
"Then increase our numbers, spend the income we've earned to train more troops so we can safeguard our capital by disposing of this threat!"
"An emissary was already sent to Xenerex, your request is on hold until we get news fr--"
"Bah! Don't come crying to me when it's too late! I'm sure Sky would be more understanding then some shrimp like you!" Without notice, he turns and starts storming out.
"That's LORD Sky, Maldo--"
"Yeah, yeah." Maldorir waves his paw in the air as he walks away, waving the words off in the air.
Ardonis sighs, thinking to himself, "What a bashful individual, I can see how he was appointed head of the military, but.. his wrecklessness to fight will only be harmful to us. No matter for now, although if he starts acting out of place more.." He simply retires to the back right room, closing the door, knowing what his orders are.

Vaidin was waxing and polishing his bow, while Zain stared at the night sky next to him. They were both on guard duty, and stood themselves firmly on a balcony of the castle.
Zain turned his head towards Vaidin and softly spoke. "Yoshiken has been sleeping quite a lot this week, why do you suppose that?"
Vaidin gave a small laugh, "He has had many meetings from foreign emissaries this week, such as from Alressor and Xenerex to name a few. The negotations have tired our Lord, and that is why he sleeps. Didn't you get word of this?"
"I need to focus more at those meetings," replied Zain. "Please, tell me what the decisions were concerning those kingdoms."
Vaidin finished the bow and put it on a harness that was attached to the back of his jacket. "Well, we achieved a Cease Fire with Alressor, and we were also able to gain a full-scale alliance with the nation of Xenerex"
Zain smiled, "wow, that is amazing. Yoshiken is quite a ruler if I do say so myself. I have optimism for the success of this kingdom. Another question thought, what of Dante, I haven't seen him for a week or so."
Vaidin bit into an apple that he packed away earlier and swallowed it before answering. "He is aiding in the expansion to a territory in the west, in the edge of the plains." (Territory 36)
Ivan opened the door to the balcony and interrupted the discussion. "your shifts are over Zain and Vaidin, you may rest now."
Vaidin exhaled strongly, "good, I am in need of a relaxing night." Vaiding walked inside with Zain following closely behind.

"Toshi, troops were spotted marching east of our home region!" Soshi reported, an orange yoshi with black hair, who was holding a staff of a fairly large size. Toshi kept his paw to his chin, rubbing it, before giving the order,
"Tell them to hold their position, it is likely to be the troops of Enrique of Mantasthia, they should not be a problem at all."
"I suggest we buff up our defenses there, we cannot be too careful" Mosh had spoken, a green yoshi with blonde hair, who was wearing similar armour to Toshi, except wielded a double headed axe,
"Good idea, that way we're prepared for an attack if it does come to that" With that, Toshi turned to his hunter friend,
"Whats the status of our advancing troops?" Mishi looked towards Toshi,
"Everything seems to be running smoothly there, no enemies spotted thus far, it is likely that we will not meet any resistance for a while" Toshi nodded as he checks the map
"You seem to be correct, there is very little resistance from here onwards" Toshi lifts his head up to Mishi, "but we shant take it easy, anything is possible. Keep advancing them onwards."

Yoshee had just finished charting the newfound Neuropa when another warrior came in. She would need to appoint some under-leaders... "Young General, the warriors arrived safely. Where shall we head to next?" He asked. "First, we'll recruit some more soldiers so we can move," She replied. "...Three more should do it. Two units of food would be sufficient, I presume?" "Yes, young General," He bowed. "And send those recruits to Area Twenty-Five," Yoshee finished. The young warrior bowed again and left Yoshee to herself again.
Hmm, we need better weapons than pitchforks and spears, She told herself. Just one more thing on the to-do list, I suppose.

Palikir Dhalriyen approached Enrique Rzlowieszczyk with a document amount four pages long. "I want you to look that over and give me a decision within the next two hours." Enrique nodded in response.
Riano Wladziek entered Enrique's office soon after Enrique started reading the document prepared by Dhalriyen. "So what do you think?"
"Dhalriyen has a good plan in my eyes," Enrique replied.
Riano smiled. "That's why he has the position of military advisor."
Dhavidek Cieszek, another of Enrique's advisors and assistants, entered Enrique's office as well. "Recruiting and infrastructure is going well, Enrique. Transcitil is becoming a prime military outlet."
Enrique responded. "Well, so much for primarily defensive tactics."
"In this case, our defense strategy is offensive," Riano advised. "And at the most, Cassapia to the east scares me more than Come to the north."
Enrique responded quickly. "Yeah, Dhalriyen seems to think that as well. Dhavidek, keep the recruits and food units coming. Riano, tell Dhalriyen immediately that he has my permission and order to carry out these plans."
"Your wish is my command, Enrique," Riano responded. He and Dhavidek Cieszek quickly left Enrique's office. From down the hall, Riano was heard telling Dhalriyen, "Palikir, Enrique says to go forward with the plans."
