I guess some people have different tastes in music... (sighs) Sometimes being a demi-dragon is hard...

Demi-dragon? What's that? And, well the styles people listen to are generally related to what they were raised on... and let's just call me an outcast in that department! XD Though there is one style listed there I do tend to like, but I already voted so I can't vote again. XD

Ah, well then I'm kind of a demi-dragon, except it's part Yoshi, so I just call it a hybrid. And oooh, Saiyan abilities? Heheh, DBZ, classic, and I thought I was the only one who liked that stuff.

Well, majority I guess then. ... I don't want to say normal because that word is vastly overated.

Regardless though, many do place Green Day in the era of EMO. Though thats hard to place, they've been around for a very long time. The only disdain I hold toward them is the fact that while being around a long time, only lately have they grown a larger fan base. Green Day has some good songs, especially their old ones, yet everyone joined this period when "American Idiot" got released. That's the only issue I have, I mean some of them might have not heard them until then, but the majority just loves them because everyone else seems to. A favorite song I have of theirs is Basket Case. There's another one they sang long ago which suprised me to hear that it was them.
Also, Dragon, Your music style is just fine. We all have diffrent things that we listen to. Music is diffrent for all of us in the messages that it speaks in our ears. We all get diffrent outlooks on it and hear diffrent things from each form. Country and Slower music may speak to you more because it talks of hard times or moral values. Rock may get to some because they focus more on society and human emotion. Sadly, Rap might get to some because well... they will speak of anything, but you get the point. Every music catches someone in a diffrent way. Metallica is an older Hard Rock band, really Hard Rock. I've never gotten into them, but there is nothing wrong with how they play either. I also get this sad feeling that this thread just litteraly turned into a chat of "Sally Post, Bob Post, Sally Post, Bob Post, Sally Post, Bob Post, Sally Post, Bob Post" And on the eigth day, God created PMs; and on the ninth day God created MSN, and it was good.
Besides that, all music is exciting in its own manner. Even if people do dress like that... I've always pondered over that. You know, the way that bands dress and show themselves off. Some of them do it normally, others just take it to a whole new level. In the effort to look like rockers, turning into females just doesn't seem to connect wholey. Though hey, we've all seen some weirdly dressed music players out there.... take for example Marilyn Manson, need I say more. While I enjoy a few of his songs, the personality behind him is something very abnormal. The same also goes for Nine Inch Nails, but both of them are near the same genre.
Mainstream? Oooh, you mean the stuff that everyone else listens to in efforts to be popular and look cool to someone! Oh yeah, I know that type of music; don't worry about it Dragon, listen to what makes you, you. Don't worry what everyone else focuses on, because you know that somewhere in that pile of Rap they have at home lies a much more personal style of their own true self.

A favorite song I have of theirs is Basket Case. That's one of the songs I meant before, when I said Lyrics ruined it for me... that's like the most upbeat happy sounding song EVARZ... but the lyrics just kill it for me, hahah... that and they're terribly sung in my opinion.
