Well we all like what it is that we like I presume. But I'll listen to anything, just as long as it doesn't kill me or beat me up. If its kind to me, than I'll be kind to it. Otherwise I'll cry, and then we'll never listen to each other again. Just like a love story, and that's my tale. Seriously though, any type of music fits me alright. As long as it doesn't turn out to be rap or something RnB like. If it goes into that catagory I begin to become lost in the words after, "Slap your mom" and many other things. Sadly that just has to be the most popular music of our era, why can't we just fall into something more subtle like Mozart, I mean come on hahaha. It may be 200 years or so late, but the classics are grand. Maybe not that far, but you catch the gist. We need some else besides the mainstream of what is in our society right now.
I wonder what will be next, that's a strange question as well. I mean we've gone through so many transitions of music as it is, and each one evolves from another. I seriously ponder over what is to come. There are so many directions music can take, as long as it doesn't even get more lost than it already is. It would be nice if it could come out of its slump. It gets pathetic when a station you used to enjoy changes from melodic songs to rap in a week flat. I guess someone told them to play the "mainstream". That and if you go to any school dance, you can't dare to mention the names of lets say, Techno or something else you can dance to. Because the DJ's always say Rap is the only music with a beat.... Yes, a beat that makes your ears bleed. Or better yet, the same beat for every song!

Ha! No one clicked rap. I'd give it a sympathy vote if I didn't hate it so much.

If Tempest was paying attention he'd pick it, in which case he would have to be strung up with duct tape.

(I can't stand Rap, drives me insane, and I was brought up with the belief that it's not even true music, just opinion though. ) And I wanted to click it for a while too, but I didn't for the same reason as you, and because I knew clicking my answer wouldn't really expose which one is mine. lol

Lol, wow, and here I thought it was the only thing people listened to... though I should've put down game music as mine, apparently I'm not the only one who likes it. ... Ok, too much info... But yeah, I've never gotten Rap, I'd do an imitation of what it's like in my head, but I'd probably get in trouble with the mods XD

My singing, though my best friend claims that it's good, I still say is gawd awful. My voice is like off-tone and deep and ugh, I hate it. (Plus, when I even try singing, I'm practically tone deaf and my voice tends to crack.) Guitar, ick, I'd probably break either the pick or the strings. lol

I just came to the conclusion on my own. Oh... and I love Green Day! It's punk rock, not emo.

XD, almost all of today's style music is tedious listening for me, and I forgot about punk rock, blegh. Main reason I don't like today's music, and I'll probably sound like an old man, but I can't understand what the heck it is that they're saying! I'll get a word here, maybe a sentence there, but for the most part, they might as well be doing it in Japanese. Another reason, a lot of it is about drugs, sex, ect. which is a real turn off. Then, in nearly every song, there is usually at least one cuss word, which hello people, is unnessary! (Unless they're saying damned as in Bible type of terms, that that's not bad. But to be all like "D*mn this life. ect." is, blegh. One reason I like game music!

So hard, soo sooo hard. Game or rock. I like both, and they're tied, so who to break it to.
Theres the great Legend of zelda, Mario, and that old classic game music. And theres also the new metroid and halo modern game music which is alot like rock. I'll have to go to game for it's variety.

I have to say rock. Metallica, Nirvana, all that good stuff. But Green Day, that stuff gets really annoying when all you hear on Atlanta radio stations is, "Wake Me Up When September Ends." I like game music as well, especially music from Sonic, but that I will put under the genre of rock.

But i'm quite fachinated on hard dance/new remixes and the new fresh generation with electronic influenses on hiphop called "grime" . As say, dependin on what kind of song that is so can it suck big timezzis or B the kingdom itself

You'll see me listening to the likes of Breaking Benjamin, InMe, Nickelback etc. In other words, i like my rock music. What precise genre may vary within that category, from alternative rock, to grunge.

For me I like rock, usually something along the lines of Slipknot or S.O.A.D, but i listen to others like Soulfly, Dragonforce, InMe, Franz Ferdinand, Coldplay, Sepultura, Still Remains and Rage against the machine and many more. All rock, on most ends of the spectrum.
