Humans vs. Yoshi's

(Oh, I am really really sorry for not posting before! Please forgive me. Life is just so busy. Still, there is no excuse)

Vaidyn had suffered casualties in the explosions of the burning village homes. It is not that he didn't expect traps like this, for he did. He knew something was going to happen there. However, some of his men were too reckless and drunken with rage to burn cautiously.

Needlenoses flew towards the group, but because of their slow speed, no deaths occurred. It must be a distraction to escape, or at least that is what Vaidyn thought.

A boomerang flew towards a small squadron, just barely missing. "Follow that boomerang!" Vaidyn exclamed. The weapon flew back to its user, along with the same squadron that it was directed towards. They quickly captured the yoshi, and brought it back while the other beasts escaped.

Once the dust settled, and everyone regrouped, Vaidyn took a good look at the yoshi prisoner. He had the yoshi tied to a tree, with Vaidyn aiming an arrow at his head point-blank. It took a bit of time, and a bit of torture, to get the yoshi to talk. A fountain of information was gained though.

Vaidyn learned that the yoshis name was Blumeire, and that the yoshies that attacked them in the village were stationed in a fortress heavily fortified by a moat not too far from their current location.

"What do we do with him sir?" A newly recruited lieutenant asked.

"Don't kill him. We will need him in the future," Vaidyn replied. "Everyone prepare yourself. We have a fortress to take!"

A cheer bellowed forth from every soldier in the camp.

*Genesis and Ninjo reached the shore in little time with no mishaps and began to run toward where the linkpearl communication came from*

[Zyph]

Cevik went into the room where Janet and the Yoshis are. Upon entering the room he just stared at all the Yoshis who are still knocked out.

Janet: "Oh there you are! What took you so long to get here? I was getting worried. So how do you feel?"

Cevik: "Good. But seem some of my sensors and cameras have revealed to me some interesting info about this Genesis."

Janet: "Really?"

Cevik: "Yeah. Follow me, I need to show you"

Cevik went to a different room while Janet followed behind. They went to a room full of monitors and various strange equipment.

Cevik: "Here, take a look."

Cevik plays back the recording on one of the monitors of Gensis and Ninjo checking out the base, particularly the communications room. On other monitors it displays other info such as frequencies that may occur, both normal and paranormal, around Genesis and Ninjo and where they go. Cevik paused the recording at a certain point and pointed at some glowing pearl-like object in Genesis' hand.

Cevik: "Do you see that what Genesis is holding?"

Janet: "A pearl?"

Cevik: "Not just any pearl. It is some communication device! It even glows if you haven't noticed. Now, look at the frequencies that have been picked up when Genesis takes out the pearl."

Cevik plays the video from a few seconds before Genesis takes out the pearl to after a few seconds Genesis puts away the pearl. Cevik repeats it over and over and points at the monitor displaying multiple frequencies.

Cevik: "Apparently whatever message those two Yoshis recieved told them to go off somewhere. Unfortunately I don't know where. Oh I have decrypted the message as well but uh..."

Plays the message given and the message is given in some Yoshi language the two couldn't understand.

Cevik: "It was given in whatever other language they speak. However by the tone and whatnot of the message, I can assume it is just a message to check how the two Yoshis are doing. I tried tracing where the message comes from, and it came from Yoshi's Island. Apparently that other Yoshi has one, but the rest where it pinged is in Yoshi's Island."

Janet: "Interesting... Oh new info from the same special agent from earlier. He says the he saw Genesis and the other Yoshi with him go off into the waters and head towards back to Yoshi's Island. Some blue Yoshis appeared, he says, and made a boat appear. Rather... odd stuff. Nonetheless, he went after them using on of your... speed boats."

Cevik: "HE USED MY BO- Ahem... Anyways, how is he?"

Janet: "He is okay just that he almost fell off due to some tidal wave that was created. Otherwise he is on track. You know who this person is, right?"

Cevik: "...he is the third member of our group no doubt. Who the heck takes one of my boats without asking for my permission. Only one person does that.

Anyways... I can deliver a message to all their communication devices. Some method they had, but thankfully I know a lot about communication things, including tele-arts, you know, like telepathy? I can't read minds though, haha."

Janet: "Well... alright. What do we tell them? I don't think they take kindly to some stranger who was able to communicate them through their own devices."

Cevik: "Well... I thought somewhat what to say, but lets just give it a shot. I made my own version of the device they had, though except it is a tetrahedron. Did some modifications so it doesn't glow so much and the message is encrypted until half way to the recipients. I assume they can understand our language seeing the Yoshis talk in it. Anyways, lets make the message."

Cevik activates his own device and some parts of it glowed. Cevik starts making a message to all who has a linkpearl.

Cevik: "bzzt. Test. Test. If you can hear this message, then I have successfully deciphered your means of communication... Okay do not freak out, I'm not a threat. Apparently whoever made the pearl thingys knows some tech, and I assume that someone can hear me. I will let you know first that whatever message you send out of those pearls, I can intercept any of them. Even if you have your message done in whatever Yoshi language you have, I have Yoshis here with me that I can force to translate to me.

Oh... those Yoshis? I know you will be wondering about them but... They are safe with me, all 29 of them from this Genesis' squad. I know you can hear me, Genesis... none of your squad died. I repeat... NONE OF THEM DIED! Right now they are receiving care and hospitality at the moment. It is a shame you aren't around here anymore to pick them up, seeing I know you went towards Yoshi's Island.

Anyways, again I am not a threat... And actually, I want to help you Yoshis. This war is stupid and the longer it continues, will hurt our economy. Crazy government is spending ridiculous amounts of money just for a measly war, when said money could be used for something more productive and useful for the people. But I also asked that you Yoshis help me. I will think later on this... but the help I could use requires someone who is willing to assassinate some key people I know. I don't want to do it myself, because I need to keep my identity a secret. End of message. bzzt."

The message should now be transmitted to all who has a linkpearl.

Genesis picked up his linkpearl and used it for a reply
Genesis " hello human i have someone here who can help you but i require you let all those Yoshies you have go"
Genesis to Ninjo "head back and help him make sure he cooperates"
Genesis ran to where Teal was and Ninjo ran back and got in the boat

[Teal]

Genesis was cleared for entry and Teal met with him.

Teal: "Genesis you've returned! Is Ninjo the one you sent back to the humans? Think he can do it alone?"

Pan: "Hey guys, what was the human talking about on the linkpearls? I couldn't understand him."

Teal: "We need to discuss this matter. The human claims he wants to help us and end this foolish war. He needs us to assassinate key members of the humans that are attacking us. Do you think he is sincere? I personally know that such a task is like a double edged sword. Assassinating these key members would show the humans that we mean business but events like this can both enrage and intimidate them. There's no guarantee that this would end the war because the humans can simply replace these members. If the humans are not as foolish as we anticipate them then they would come the realize that this war is a waste of time and what they call money...what are your thoughts on this?"

[Zyph]

Cevik got the reply back from Genesis.

Cevik: "Let all the Yoshies go? Sure alright... Though I can't ignore the possibility that this is a possible trap. I am dealing with a ninja, and they will have tricks up their sleeve to deceive their foes... They probably think I am lying."

Janet: *shrugs* "Well I don't see what harm it would do to give them back their friends. But we need to keep track of all of them in the case we let them all go."

Cevik: "Thought ahead. I told my friend to embed a tracking device in their spikes. Harmless mind you. It's just another one of my inventions. I will be able to know where they are and hear what they talk about."

Janet: "Oh good. The last thing we want is for them to back stab us."

Cevik: "Yeap... but hmm I was thinking about my statement about killing key government people. We need to do it in a way so it seems... like a natural death by disease or poison. That way it wouldn't enrage the public so much. You can make something that will imitate death by... say heart attack or strokes, yes?"

Janet: "Of course... Comon I'm one of the top biomeds here."

Cevik: "Just saying. Then we would have political problems. Kill the people in control, another will swoop right in to take their place. When is the next election?"

Janet: "Soon actually."

Cevik: "Good. Well if we are to have people to replace those in control, they'd better be ones that doesn't support this Yoshi war. Even so, I'm sure there will be those extremists that will kill such people and try to continue on the war... the hate... we need some sort of campaigning to end this war. It won't be easy however..."

Janet: *sigh* "Yeah..."

Cevik: "Then we have terrorists and psychos..."

Janet: "...you know he has connections with gang members and terrorists, right? If anything we can make them kill the people, and it will just seem as a tragic gang violence."

Cevik: "...then we'd have another war to face then, and more damage to the economy... We need to think this through. But... right now we need to send a message back to the Yoshis. I don't want to lose their trust."

Cevik activates his device and starts sending out a message.

"Seems my invention works. You can hear me and I can hear you. Great, eh heh.

Anyways... Genesis, fine I will let all the Yoshis go if you promise not to harm me or my friends... and that you will cooperate with me. I know you are a ninja from my observations and you can pretty much easily back stab me. I will warn you... any sign of attempt to hurt me or my friends... any threat, and all those Yoshis I have with me will.. will d-die in a s-second by e-e-extremely po-potent p-poison. Ack... Gah... *is crying*... Lo-look I don't want to do that. That is the very last thing I want to do, that being killing a Yoshi... *cries a bit more*

... sorry, got emotional there... You know, I heard stories about you creatures from some of my friends that visited your island quite long ago. They describe you as happy and that you have quite positive virtues, like family. Love. Love. Love. I just hear good positive things about you Yoshis... To think some of us wanted to take that from you... its wrong. It makes no sense why some thought of you as evil creatures. Some of us.. yes we realize this war is a waste of time and resources... It is why I want to help to end it. I only wonder what is the main reason of attacking your island.. What do we really want. Our government isn't telling us something.

Speaking about our government... I'm pretty sure at least one of you knows us and how politics work. Those linkpearls of yours? Someone must have known tech of ours, thus know us humans. I know the consequences of assassinating such people. Yes it will cause public chaos. Also, they would be replaced. Now... it is known we are to have some election soon to replace such members. If those people are to be replaced... might as well be replaced by people who want to end this uneeded, costly war.

You may wonder who I am... and whether or not I am lying or not. I am someone who actually works under the government, and I don't always agree with their ideals. If you know our government well, we aren't so united and in a sense divided with various opinions.

I am being serious here with helping you. If I am really an enemy of yours... by now I'd have the Yoshis I captured undergo some t-t-torture and ki- ack... Thinking of killing makes me sick! But would an enemy really give their hostages care and hospitality? At the moment we gave them bowls of fruits that we know you Yoshis love. Melons. Bananas. Grapes. Watermelons. So forth. No they are not drugged or poisoned in case you are wondering. I am not cruel. Oh, by the way Genesis, I have all their weapons as well for them to have back... just so you know.

I can offer you some equipment that may or may not aid you in your defense. If one of you was able to make those linkpearls... I'm sure you will understand whatever tech I may give you. If you want to know my name, I would like to hear yours first. I know more than one of you have linkpearls. Around 5 from what I know thus far. For those who can't understand my language, then the ones that do please translate what I am saying. Oh, by the way... I sent someone to go to your island. Please do not attack him. He should have a black and purple clothing on him with some peculiar looking backpack. Kill him, consider all the Yoshi I have dead... AND I REALLY DON'T WANT TO DO THAT. end of message...

... ... ... you know... I take that back on some of the stuff I said. What good does threats do when one is trying to gain trust. You know what... even if you kill the person I sent you... even if you threaten to kill me and my friends... I swear I will not retaliate and kill any one of you Yoshis... I'D RATHER DIE NOT KILLING A SINGLE YOSHI! ...end of message"

Genesis "yes Ninjo was the one sent, yes i think he can handle it, and what has been going on here?"

[Zyph]

Somewhere in Yoshis Island, a man in a speedboat arrived at the same place where Ninjo and Genesis went to. The man's name is Jack.

Jack: "About time I reached the place. So this is the island I keep hearing about... Fancy..."

Jack gets his bags and equipment and jumped onto the shore. After a while the boat makes some beeps and autopilots back to where it came from.

Jack: "What to do now... Oh yeah. *via communication device* I reached the island."

Jack looks around and notices some footsteps.

Jack: "Well, looks like I know where they can be... But, seeing Yoshis are in a war with us... some may be hostile to me and may eat me. Luckily I manage to snag some of Cevik's stuff... Heh guy's awesome, but I do respect him."

Jack takes out a spray and sprays himself, removing any trace of scent. He then takes out a watch and wears it on, pressing a button and soon is cloaked.

Jack: "Heh, but you aren't the only one who makes stuff, Cevik... Onto the Yoshis!"

Jack then starts following the tracks of Genesis and Ninjo and runs towards to where Teal and the others is, making sure he isn't caught or seen on the way.

[Teal]

Teal: "Well Genesis. There's a human squad led by a ruthless leader. We tried to talk to them but they quickly made an attempt to capture the yoshies who approached them. Not only that they also set aflame Leppa village...but it activated our traps. Oh and there's bad news... I think they captured one of our soldiers...and knowing these humans they probably tortured information out of him."

[Elemental Ninja]

Genesis "just more to kill, that will end the war quicker. unless we can talk them out of it... They captured a Yoshi? Great just what we needed... They burned Leppa village?! now those humans really have it comin!"

[Zyph]

After a while, Jack eventually reaches the place where Genesis went and heard some of the conversation. Jack notices one of the Yoshis wearing a human-made jacket and scarf.

The world? What is a Yoshi wearing human clothes?

Jack walks in close to Teal and Genesis and has his hands up. He appears unarmed, but he has weapons hidden for just in case.

Jack: "Why hey there Yoshis! Looks like I found ya! *grins and cracks a smile*"

[Teal]

Teal was wearing a human-made jacket that was customized to fit his shape. His scarf flowed with the breeze from the entrance being closed after Jack entered. Teal verified the other human's description of Jack.

Teal calmly spoke to Jack in fluent human language: "Hello there. I see my guards have cleared you in. They weren't too rough with you were they?"

Teal stood several feet away from Jack not trusting him yet: "You can call me Teal. What's your name human? Your superior sent you here to share some equipment if I recall?"

Teal appeared to be a very high ranking member of the yoshies. A female pink yoshi who appeared to be Teal's assistant looked terrified of Jack. Several yoshies glared with hatred towards Jack and others were just as afraid as the pink yoshi.

[Zyph]

Jack walked forward to Teal. He then observed around him and notices many Yoshis staring at him, some angry and some scared.

Jack: "... Okaaay... Tell me, why are many of you are scared and why many of you are angry? This isn't cool... You know what?"

Jack takes out stacks of papers and threw it in front of the Yoshis around him. They are pictures of Yoshis being happy and family, pictures drawn by Cevik's friends.

Jack: "There! That should be proof enough I am not evil. Anyways, Teal, yes? Well, I'm Jack. And for the record... he is NOT MY SUPERIOR! He is just a colleague. Anyways... equipment... yeah I got some for you."

Jack then takes out a portable table from his backpack and expands it, putting it right in front of Teal. He then takes out a rod stand, a couple of identical hi tech maps of Yoshi's Island mapped by Cevik's friends, and what appears to be bags of dust.

[Teal]

Teal carefully watched Jack open up the equipment. Pan slowly approached with interest.

Teal: "Well it's not their fault really...unfortunately you are the image of what we hate the most right now...humans. Remember that it was humans who came to our island and senselessly killed off members of our family."

Several yoshies have calmed a bit after seeing the pictures. Some started crying as if they missed their time of peace.

Teal: "Your pictures may have convinced some but not all of them. I'm sorry but there isn't much I can do about that other than keeping them from attacking you. You see I'm different because I know there will always be humans willing to help us. I have always supported that fact only to be proved wrong numerous times...I'm very glad you and your colleague are helping us. It's good to meet you."

Teal held out his hand for a handshake with Jack. Pan seemed a bit confused at how Teal can stay so calm around a human in these desperate times.

Teal tapped into his linkpearl still speaking fluent human language: "Human! Your colleague Jack is here with us. My name is Teal. I am the one charged with defending Yoshi's Island. I appreciate you guys helping us. Hopefully we can end this war by working together from now on."

Teal looked at the maps for a moment and then motioned Genesis to come take a look: "Now Jack correct me if I'm wrong. Is this some sort of tracking device? I assume this pole needs to point at our current location. If this is a tracking device what will we need to track? Can this track where the humans are on the island?"

[Zyph]

Jack sees Teal held out his hand for a handshake. Jack decides to simply give a handshake.

Jack: "Well alright. But anyways, yes these are some tracking devices. For this set to work, I first need to know where in this map we are at the moment located, because yes, the pole makes a point at this location on the map. Now then..."

Jack starts juggling around the bags of dust and then holds it.

Jack: "This is no ordinary dust. This dust is actually tracking devices made into nanoscale size. I don't know how much you know about our tech, Teal, but this is far, far ahead of our time. My colleague apparently had too much time in his hands, haha. But yeah, throw the dust at a couple of humans and it will track where they are on this map by dots. This is useful if you want to figure out where some of their bases are by seeing where most of the dots are concentrated at. Oh, if the map starts running out of battery, it recharges through solar power. But... you probably want to have some sort of demonstration to see this stuff actually works. Well..."

Jack presses a point at the map to mark the pole's location. It makes a blue bot on the map. Jack afterwards through one bag of dust very far to a corner. On the map a red dot appeared and appeared to move in the direction Jack threw the bag of dust.

Jack: "And I think you get the point of how it works. But yeah, you have to sprinkle the dust at a good amount of humans. They wouldn't think it is a tracking device because it looks like dust, haha! But yes, that is all I have to give for now. You might want to get that bag of dust I threw there. But I think I will be going back to where I came from. *grins and smiles*

Nice clothing you got there, Teal. Where'd you get it? It seems human-made. I assume you once had a human friend? I can only wonder what is his or her name. Oh and... *whispers to Teal and points to Pan* you and her look like a very cute couple together, hehe."

Jack then looks at Pan and just gives her a friendly hands wave and a smile.

Jack: "Well then, may I go? I have nothing else to give. Oh to reset the location of where the pole is located on the map, press firmly on two corners of the map for 10 seconds and it will reset. Then to mark it, just tap firmly on the map the location of the pole and hold it for 5 seconds. I'm sure you're smart, Teal. You'll figure it out."

Jack looks at Teal and Pan and just gives a whistle.

Jack: "Oh, and I'm not sure if any of the 29 Yoshis my colleague rescued has any Yoshi family members here. You can tell such members here that they are still all alive."

Jack looks at some of the Yoshis that are crying of the pictures.

Jack: "I wish we humans we're the same with your family values and whatnot. Wars... sometimes us humans have wars against each other, and it is stupid."

[Yoshiken]

Vaidyn and his men were nearing the the moat. It was an impressive sight, and one to be appreciated. They stayed under the canopy of the trees, so that they wouldn't be seen by high-towers or patrol units. Vaidyn took 10 of his best longbow sharpshooters, and aimed them at the blue yoshi, Blumeire.

"I have a very important mission for you, my yoshi friend," Vaidyn calmly stated. "You see, it would be too difficult to cross this moat by ourselves, and so we need your help. Your job is to walk out of this thicket towards the guard post, and show that you need to get across the moat. With such a dense region of trees, they will not see us at all, only you. A boat will be sent to your aid, and when it arrives, we will take over from there. If you have any personal value in your own life, then don't mess up. I guarantee that there will be an arrow in every inch of your body if you do."

Blumeire stood in fearful silence, finally walking out into the open after a small amount of time had passed.

Vaidyn had his arrow ready, perfectly aimed at Blumeire's back. "Even if he does fail at signaling for a boat, our mission will still not be a failure. At the very least, we will have one less yoshi to worry about," he whispered to those around him.

Genesis "agh you and your human technology I'll stick to the weapons Ninjo made me"

Ninjo was nearing were the ruined base was out of breath and used his linkpearl "Human I am near that base we met at last i will meet you here"

[Teal]

Teal had paid attention to Jack's explanation. "You...are a bit ahead of your time. Well thank you for the equipment and for the demonstration."

He asked a yoshi to collect the bag of dust that was used in the demonstation.

"Don't worry I have plenty of ways to distribute this nano dust." Teal said while thinking about his power over wind. Teal looked at Pan who was watching them and then turned back to Jack. "Thanks hopefully we can attain peace on our island once again. Now about my clothes...I used to know a researcher named Firago." Teal briefly explained his friendship with Firago and got a bit emotional when he talked about his tragic death. "So you see...it's because of him that I see the good in some of you humans."

Teal waved to the entrance guards to signal to let Jack out. "Good luck on your way back." Then he heard Genesis' comment. "Suit yourself Genesis..."

Some time after Jack left, a yoshi from a guard tower saw Blumeire and without Teal's knowledge they immediately dispatched a pair of yoshies with a raft across the moat. One of the rafters noticed that Blumeire was shaken by something. "...Blu? Is everything alright? I'm glad you came back alive. I expected you would be glad to be returning to base but you don't seem so glad to be here...why?"
