Humans vs. Yoshi's

[Yoshiken]

Vaidyn let out a sigh. "What do you mean 'Vaidyn you say?' I am leading the front lines against these yoshi scum! You obviously haven't been paying much attention to this war if you don't even know my name," Vaidyn stated, frustratingly.

"Anyways, there is more important matters at hand. I understand that you and your unit specialize in magic and the use of non-physical abilities. Here is the situation. I am currently trying to capture a significant fortress used by the yoshies in their defenses against us. If we were able to execute a successful invasion, we would have the upper hand for sure. However, there is a great amount of magic users in the area, and so we need the expertise of your unit to aid us. I am issuing an order that either you, or someone close to your rank, lead a squad over to this island to aid us in defeating the yoshies. Is that understood?" Vaidyn asked in a demanding tone.

[Zyph]

Receiving a rather negative reply from Vaidyn as expected, Cevik gave a sigh. He thought a bit on how to reply, seeing that his unit is perhaps the smallest unit in the military. Cevik then decides to reply back.

Cevik: "Excuse me for my informality, Vaidyn... So you want me to go over to the island and take over this fortress? Tell me Vaidyn, how much do you know of our sector? You do realize that our sector is the smallest there is, right? Not only that, we are a governmental secret at that. You must be a really high ranking person to have access to us.

I'm afraid I won't be able to lead a 'squad' to the island. Our sector is just three people large with some war incapable people, partially funded by the government and mostly privately funded by us three. It has been a while since we have been called upon to take on a paranormal case."

Cevik then thought more what to do in such a situation.

"Just know this Vaidyn... Do Not Underestimate Us... I will go to the island by myself and investigate this matter individually. I will however meet you in the island for you to give me the location of said fortress. A great amount of magic users you say? You know it would be helpful if you tell me what 'magic' you have seen thus far. But I will soon see for myself.

And hmm... Tell me Vaidyn... what did the government tell you about this Yoshi war? Why do we have this war to begin with? All I got from the government is that it is just a minor nuisance that is surely to be vanquished in a matter of days. They barely tell me anything, and I wouldn't be surprised if they just fed me lies. I also wouldn't be surprised if they fed you lies as well.

'Yoshi scum'?... so what of these Yoshis make them so dangerous to begin with that we just had to declare war on them and waste perhaps billions and billions of money just to upkeep this war? Did the government even have any concrete proof that isn't possibly forged to begin with, a valid reasonable reason to start such a ludicrous war on just a measly, small, remote island? What will we gain from invading this island that is worth the billions that is spent so far? Think about it... the money wasted could have been used for something better... perhaps stimulate our already troubled economy?

Well, that aside, for now I will aid you in this war. I will repeat this again as well... I will go by myself. One warning Vaidyn... mess with me, and you can expect a severe punishment beyond your imagination."

Cevik then breaks the connection with Vaidyn. He then looked back at the Yoshis in the cell, and sighed again. He decide to talk to the Yoshis again.

Cevik (Yoshi Voice): "If... ever in the later future I hurt any of you... please forgive me..."

Cevik then just contemplates on what equipment to bring to the island and how to coordinate Janet and Jack.

[Teal]

"Very well...Elama" Ninjo said.
Ninjo had been following Janet to the area she claimed was where the yoshis were being held. He curiously looked around his surroundings.

When the topic of medical ability came up Pandora said: "Unfortunately Valo...we aren't that good at medical restoration. We lived in peace on this island until the war began...So the medical field is a bit new to us."

Meanwhile 5 units of 3 were being formed back in the fortress. Each member had a simple medical kit, a makeshift telescope, and smoke bombs. One member of each unit had a shield and a sword or a spear. Another member would have a staff or ninja tools. The 3rd member of each unit had a bow and arrows and also had a smaller linkpearl but these use a different 'frequency' dedicated to the recon and alert units.

Teal: "Recon units...your mission is to scout every area of the island. Each unit is balanced and will have 3 members, look out after each other and keep each other safe. Each unit will be assigned to a few certain areas to investigate. I want you all to focus more in self defense than offense when you are caught in combat. You main objective is...Upon sight of a hostile human you must immediately get to a safe place and alert us their location and how many there are. If anyone finds traces of human activity you must report all traces. I wish the best of luck for all of you."

The yoshi recon units were dismissed and dispatched from the fortress. Pan approached Teal. "Teal...I want to help. Please place me in a recon unit."
Teal: "No Pan...I can't let you do that...it's too dangerous."
Pan: "But I want to help! While I'm sitting here checking on the refugees and observing our fighters they are out there getting themselves killed for our island! All I've been doing is staying in this hard impenetrable shell of a fortress and worrying all day and night. That is not going to help protect our island!"
Teal: "I don't want you out there. You are doing a good job making sure the refugees are safe and you are helping me with planning and decisions."
Pan: "Teal! Seeing those two yoshis dead earlier made me realize something. I feel guilty for not being out there! Even you go out there helping with the offense!" She pointed at Teal's bandaged tail.
Teal: "Pan...I can't...lose you...I'm sorry but you are to remain here in the fortress! That's an order!"

Teal walked away toward the briefing room. Pan stood there shocked and remained quiet for some time. She formed a recon team with a couple yoshis who didn't hear the argument with Teal and included herself in it equipping herself with normal recon gear and a staff. She made sure no one saw her leaving and the guards that she knows personally hesitantly let her team go."

She shed a tear and thought to herself. "I'm so sorry Teal...but I need to help protect the island. You will hate me for doing this...but I need to prove myself...I will make you proud."

[Elemental Ninja]

Genesis was still in the briefing room when a yellow yoshi who seemed to glow walked in
Genesis "wh-what you? yo- you've returned! thank the great spirit! you're alive!"
"of course I'm alive but the war has reached my domain so i decided to help... Oh excuse me my name is Mareth, Genesis' sister, other wise known as the mourning sage you may have heard of me by that name mage of many spells i don't use or have elemental abilities like Genesis i use the lost magics of the old world, potions, scrolls, and such my weapons include a flame rod here in my hand and three daggers hidden around my body"
*she twirled around ,her cloak billowing, "i can be of more use than i appear"

[Yoshiken]

Vaidyn slammed his fist on the desk when his conversation with Cevik was disconnected. "Conceited jerk! Who does he think he is? Talking to a general like that...I am going to make sure that he gains some discipline when he gets here, even if it takes a fist or two."

Vaidyn rubbed his chin, and blankly stared at the communicator. He quickly turned to one of his assistants who was organizing map blueprints in the same tent. "Strange, don't you think?"

"I don't understand, sir," the assistant replied.

"The way Cevik was talking, it was as if he was offended by my words. Deeply offended. He implied that we are the 'enemies' here, and that the yoshies are the victims. I don't trust the guy. Not one bit," Vaidyn continued.

"What are you going to do, sir?" The assistant calmly asked.

"I am not sure. I have no idea what his plans are. I am not going to let him out of my sight though, you can bet on that," Vaidyn asserted.

[Zyph]

As Jack was walking to the infirmary, he heard Pan about how the Yoshi's aren't skilled at medical restoration. He simply just shrugs and goes immediately into the infirmary.

Jack (Yoshi Voice): *in a calm voice* "Please move out of the way. I'll take over this myself."

Upon entry of the infirmary, he requested the Yoshis to move aside. He step next to Blumiere and observes the wounds he bears. He see's the wounds at the legs the arrows has strucken. The arrows are apparently still in place.

Jack (Yoshi Voice): "Well... better move quickly..."

Jack then open the kit and took out initially some basic tools and extract the arrows with precision. Jack then placed over his hand over the wounds and some light made in a certain frequency to destroy bacteria and diseases is emitted.

Jack (Yoshi Voice): "...alright, sanitizing is complete... now on to the next step..."

Jack then cleaned up the wounds and then took out a special vial from the kit. He dropped a couple of mystery droplets into the wounds, it making an mystical glow on the area it lands on. Immediately, Jack took out more tools and stitched up the wounds with a special synthetic string that seems to disappear and integrate seamlessly with the skin as soon as the wound is closed up. Afterward, he put a medicinal special patch over the wound. Then Jack then just waits a few minutes, just humming a familiar tune... the Yoshi's Island tune he heard from one of Cevik's friends. Later, he took out the patch and the wounds has completely disappeared, as if the wound has never been made. He then puts away the materials away back into the kit and then puts the kit back into the backpack.

Jack (Yoshi Voice): "And that is all..."

Jack then looks at the Yoshis that may have watched him.

Jack (Yoshi Voice): "Just stuff I learn from one of my friends. She's pretty cool. She taught my other friend and I some medical lessons. Heard you Yoshis aren't that skilled in medical restoration. You should learn some from her, heh. If you are wondering where I got my stuff... lets just say I 'borrowed' it from her cabinets, haha."

Jack then just gave Blumiere one last look, then leaves the infirmary.

Janet and Ninjo eventually reaches a certain place. She then does some sort of arcane ritual and then holds out her palm, it glowing in green light. Cevik and his two friends, Jack, and Janet and her paramedics only know how to do it. An underground entrance opens up with a high-tech looking door. She then inputs a very long, complex code. Afterward she puts her palm at a certain area on the door, and the door opens up.

Janet: "Come on in, Yoshi. Just follow me. You are not to tell anyone of this location..."

Janet and her two paramedics walk in, leading Ninjo to the room where the Yoshis are held captive.

Cevik was just waiting in the room where the Yoshis are. He thought more about Vaidyn and what he read about him.

Cevik: "Vaidyn's a general. Most likely he is angry at how I talk to him, him being a general and how generals usually act towards informality. But I don't care about that stupid military ranking system. General my butt. It is merely only a title. In a sense, I am actually equal to said rank if not higher in terms of command. I just don't bother exercising said commanding power. Either way, I am pretty sure he wouldn't trust me. Government probably brainwashed him or something with Yoshis being monsters. Him being a general and me seemingly merely a random person to him questioning his acts, he'd most likely be offended and not trust me then. He will no doubt keep a stern eye on me and not let me leave his sight. He can try, but he doesn't know me.

I'm going to see Vaidyn tomorrow... I can anticipate due to my behavior towards Vaidyn and the nature of generals these days, I am pretty sure he's going to try and punish me personally by doing some pointless disciplinary actions. And if that is the case, I'm going to make Janet make something for me for the later future. But for now... I'd like to see him punch me, a very common punishment for disrespecting the high ranks. And if he does, oh he will be met with a retaliation from me he will regret and not see coming.

Leading the frontlines, huh Vaidyn? I know how you love chess and how you see war as a chess game from what I read about you... You will have the chess game of your lifetime..."

After a while, Janet enters the room.

Janet: "Here they are, Yoshi."

[Elemental Ninja]

Ninjo "My name is Ninjo you can stop calling me Yoshi."
Ninjo (yoshi voice) "Yoshies! don't worry you're safe here now i will leave you with a choice, Either stay with these humans if you like or head home. Your choice."

[Teal]

In the briefing room a pair of yoshis have been using the map that Jack provided had marked certain areas such as the remains of Leppa village and the perimeter of the moat for human activity.
Team A: "Nothing here..."
Scribe: "Understood"
Team B: "Human mud tracks have been sighted north of nearby Nomel village."
Scribe: "I see..." One of the yoshis marked said area on the map. "Commander Teal's recommendation is to follow those tracks until you find the humans...but keep yourself hidden. The commander has something planned. I think it has to do with those bags of sand the allied human provided."
Team B: "Roger that."

Pan: "This is exciting. I will get to put some humans in pain soon. Sheesh those fighters hog up all the fun." She said trying to hide her fear. Her team ended up traveling near south of Nomel village.

[Zyph]

Janet and Ninjo went in the room where the Yoshis are held.

Cevik: "About time you two got here... well then..."

Cevik lowered the cell walls of the Yoshis and the Yoshis are now free. The Yoshis now face with the choice whether to stay here or to return back to Yoshi's island. Cevik looks at the Yoshis.

Cevik (Yoshi Voice): "Your choice my Yoshi friends. Anyways..."

Cevik walked up to Janet.

Cevik (Human Voice): "Janet... I'm going to leave tomorrow to Yoshi's Island... Our sector has been called up by a general by the name of Vaidyn."

Janet: "Wh-what? You're leaving? But we need you here."

Cevik: "I'm making you take lead over here, Janet. I can still give instructions to you and the Yoshis. Right now, I need to deal with this Vaidyn guy. I'll make Jack go back here, or at least try to. Oh and Janet, you think you can make something for me? It is for the later future..."

Janet: "What might that be?"

Cevik whispered some stuff to Janet and at the end, Janet was in shock.

Janet: "ARE YOU OUT OF YOU MIND? Making a-"

Cevik: "Ah-ah-ah... Come on Janet, this may be our ticket to the end of this war. With your bio know how, this shouldn't be too hard. One is for if all else fails... The other I have plans to use it for in the end. Do you understand me?"

Janet has her head down.

Janet: "Yes Cevik... it's just that... I don't know."

Cevik: "Relax Janet... if you want, you can b-... Just think about it Janet, how it would be like. It would be great!"

Janet: "Well, alright. I just want to hear Jack's opinion on it, but I'll start right away."

Cevik: "Oh... and you should wear this"

Cevik put a strap over Janet's neck and activates it. Cevik as well puts an ear piece in on of Janet's ears. Janet starts speaking a bit and eventually her voice is adjusted to speaking Yoshi language.

Janet (Yoshi Voice): "Does it work?"

Cevik (Yoshi Voice): "Yep."

Janet (Yoshi Voice): "Alright. Your tech never ceases to amaze me Cevik. Now then..."

Janet looks at the Yoshis.

Janet (Yoshi Voice): "Among you Yoshis, who is willing to volunteer for some testing? I can't guarantee you will like it or be comfortable with it, but we need at least one, healthy volunteer... one for each gender, male and female. This is for the sake of ending this war, so someone please volunteer. As a side note... I'd really prefer if the two volunteers are couples to each other. This is for psychological reasons."

Cevik then went over to Ninjo.

Cevik: "Ninjo, just follow Janet's instructions. I need to prepare for tomorrow... I'm afraid being with this Vaidyn guy might make me hurt Yoshis in the process. I have no choice... If I harm any of you or your friends in your island... just know I am deeply sorry. I'll do everything in my power to help you, I promise. For now, Ninjo... assignments would most likely to destroy some of supplies being sent to the island for the humans to use against you. Arrows, swords, rations... cutting those lines of supplies to the human troops at the island will hinder them severely.

Oh, and I know your island well, Ninjo. Any human that tries to eat any of the fruit of your island will have a very, very high chance to get strange sicknesses Yoshis wouldn't normally get. So if you think us humans can still find food even after cutting their supplies, that wouldn't be the case. One of my friends almost died by eating a watermelon at your island... it made him have a strange fever... but thankfully the Yoshis helped him. You Yoshis are nice. I already immunized everyone in my sector by all known diseases found in Yoshi's Island, thanks to Janet and my friends who were at Yoshi's Island before. I can safely eat your fruits.

But yeah, for now, your job is to destroy supplies and even their supply of soldiers. I heard you and Genesis did something fancy over the waters. Perhaps you can somehow mess with our navy forces as well. Lastly..."

Cevik makes a drawer pop out from one of the walls and all the Yoshi's weapons are stored in there.

"I kept your weapons... You can have them back. They're very interesting indeed. Now then, I'll be going. We still have hours before this day is over... but eventually it will be night..."

Cevik then left the room and into a different laboratory room. He looked over his gadgets and tools. He just sat down on a chair and thought long what to bring that would help aid him at the island.

Cevik: "My gadgets won't be enough, heh. Looks like I'll do what you always do, Jack. I'm going to 'borrow' some of your stuff and Janet's"

Cevik then went out to different laboratory rooms, looking over gadgets and tools created by his colleagues.

Jack walked out of the infirmary and just looked around the fort.

Jack: "Where did that pretty female Yoshi go? Pan I think is her name? I'd like to talk to her. Perhaps Teal knows..."

Jack looks around the fort for Teal and eventually finds Teal in the briefing room. Jack walked up to Teal.

Jack: "Hey Teal, do you know where Pan is in the fort? I can't find her and I uhm.. want to talk to her... Please don't ask but it is just... something i want to say to her personally... eyeah..."

Jack covered his face with his hands and looked at the side pretending to look around, trying to hide the blush slowly forming at his face.

[Elemental Ninja]

Ninjo "now when i cut the supply lines how quiet do i need to be and can i kill the humans? oh and is there something i can use for fire? or must i use my own? You yoshi there *ninjo points to a yoshi* mind if i use your bow?
Yoshi "no i don't, here."
Ninjo "Janet is it? i have family here me and my female cousin will volunteer for your test how long does it take?

Genesis "alright Mareth your with me then I'm heading to the armory"
Mareth "I'll come"

[Zyph]

Janet is rather shocked about who will be the volunteers. She thought for a bit and then talked to Ninjo.

Janet: "As I warned earlier, I cannot guarantee you will like it or be comfortable with whatever I need the volunteers, in this case you and your cousin, to do."

Janet whispers to Ninjo.

Janet: "I'm sure you will think of this as extremely controversial... but aside from analysis, scans, and samples and what not that I will need to get from you two... I need to ask that you and your cousin.. uhm... produce a Yoshi egg that houses a young from you two. This is extremely important or otherwise I won't be able to complete with what I need to do. You sure you want to volunteer with your cousin for this? To produce a young with her? Oh and these testing times varies as well. I'm not exactly sure how fast a Yoshi lays an egg with a Yoshi in it, but I assume from what i know that it is fast... Within three days or less?

The reason why I prefer it be couples that I want to volunteer so it won't be so traumatic requesting that the couple make birth to a child."

Janet sighs and then thought for a while.

Janet: "About cutting the supplies.. I recommend you do it with as much stealth as possible. You may kill the humans but only humans that show extreme hatred to Yoshis. If you find any humans that unsure of killing you Yoshis and have doubts... do not kill that human.. spare that human... and take said human as hostage. I will deal with such humans myself personally. And fire? Mind if I ask what would you need fire for? To burn the supplies? If so, I'll give you the tools to destroy and cut said supplies."

[Elemental Ninja]

Nijno spoke rapidly to his cousin for a few moments
Ninjo "we will do what you require, and the fire would be used to burn supplies something i can use on the tips of arrows, but hehe I might find something i like. anything else required for your tests?"

[Zyph]

Janet thought a bit and wondered what Ninjo said to his cousin.

Janet: "So wait.. you are fine with your cousin to make birth to a yoshi and lay the egg?! ... Well as of now that is pretty much all I need for the testing. As for the fire... Don't worry I'll provide what you need.

If you are ready to do what I need... just let me know."

[Elemental Ninja]

Ninjo "yes I'm fine with that i will do what i must to end this war, and we are ready as ever now. Thank you for providing the supplies"

Genesis "Mareth you can make magic armor correct?"
Mareth "To an extent and the armor must be provided i can't forge"

[Yoshiken]

Vaidyn continued to move back his position until he was nearing the human coastal outpost. Before he reached it, however, a squad had returned to let him know that the unit that he had put Torin in charge of was close by. Vaidyn didn't have time for a rendezvous, and wrote a quick reply on the parchment he carried with him.

"Greetings Torin,

We have located a key enemy fortress. It is not too far north from you. I will send a detailed map of it's location with this letter. Do not attack under any circumstances until I arrive back. I am going to our main human coastal outpost to meet up with another general who will help in our efforts. Your orders are to hold the position we have gained. Be on the lookout for yoshi scouts. There are bound to be many.

~Vaidyn"

He sealed the note, and sent it off with another squad back to Torin. No time was wasted in traveling to the coastline.

Genesis "Mareth I'm leaving i have killing to do you coming?"
Mareth "of course I'm coming those humans need to pay."
Genesis finished getting armor on and exited with Mareth

[Teal]

"Pandora is a bit upset with me right now. You might find her over where the refugees are. She has several friends who she talks to when she's upset...I guess I was a bit too hard on her. I'll go with you." Teal said to Jack not looking at him. He seemed a bit sad.

Pan's team had been edging closer to Torin's camp. A yoshi communicated with a linkpearl, "I have something to report. Huma-" The yoshi was interrupted by Pan. "No don't report it...we can handle this group. Don't you want to impress Teal by capturing their camp instead? I'm sure our ancestors would be proud." Pan whispered.

"What was that? Do you have something to report?" The scribe yoshi replied through linkpearl. "...never mind it was a mistake." The interrupted yoshi replied. Pan held her staff in hand. "You will pay for what you've done...humans." "She thought to herself.

[Elemental Ninja]

Genesis reached the moat and caused a strip of land to appear just long enough for them to cross
Genesis "Agh that was a little taxing"
They continued now running toward the shore

Ninjo Spoke to his cousin again this time slower
Ninjo "Are you absolutely sure you want to do this cause there's no going back."
Cousin "i will do what i must to end this war ASAP."
Ninjo turns to Janet "we are ready now."

[Zyph]

Janet's eyes twitched at the thought, but decides they are serious. Janet looks at Ninjo and his cousin.

Janet: "Well then, Ninjo, you and your cousin follow me then."

Janet then looks at the rest of the Yoshis.

Janet (Yoshi Voice): "As for you other Yoshis... well you can relax here for now. You can go ahead and prepare for whatever may happen next. There are still fruits in this room that is safe for you to eat. You will be safe here for now, I assure you."

Janet looks back at Ninjo and his cousin.

Janet: "Well then, follow me..."

Janet walks out of the room and starts leading Ninjo and his cousin to a different special room that is extremely clean. There is seemingly just a single but large bed in the room.

Janet: "The first thing I need before any test is conducted is for you two to... uhm... make birth to an egg. This is so that we don't have any complications. Shall I leave you two with privacy to do this act? Or shall I monitor you to doing such an act? Eh, either way... I need an egg from you two that will give birth to a Yoshi. After that is done, please let me know, so that we can continue the rest of the procedures needed. Let me know what you decide."

Jack just shakes his head.

Jack: "You do realize Pan is not anywhere in the fort, right? I checked everywhere... she is gone. She isn't with the refugees. Other than that, I seen a glowing yellow Yoshi with Genesis. I think it is his sister, and last I saw them, they are at the armory.

But well... Pan's not in the fort. I fear she may have, uhm, sneaked out of the fort. What will you do, Teal? Also, it seems it is going to be nightfall soon."

Jack now has a concerned look.

Jack: "And you know... eventually I have to return back.. I can't stay in this island all the time. But yes... what shall we do now..."

Jack then just thinks what he is to do now.

Cevik is in a room, having his equipment nearly ready. He thought for a while. He decides to attempt to contact Vaidyn again.

Cevik: "Oh, hey Vaidyn... I almost forgot. Where shall we meet up in the island? I assume you have a place in mind where we can meet safely and not be attacked by these Yoshis? I'm pretty sure you won't initially trust me due to my behavior in our last conversation... but I know I am indisposable as of now to you. You need me if you even want to have a chance against these Yoshis seeing they have magic. Knowing that, I am pretty sure you will make sure I won't leave your sight to be risked being killed by the Yoshis... That is all I will say. I will meet you in the island tomorrow. Let me know where we shall meet."

[Elemental Ninja]

Ninjo "if you could leave us alone please. Give us a few hours and you'll have this egg."

Genesis and Mareth continued walking till they sighted torin's camp from a different location than Pan therefore not seeing them (these Humans are finally going to pay I will cut them all down.)
