Humans vs. Yoshi's

[Teal]

Teal: "...really? I don't have good extrasensory like you do...but if you feel that something is wrong when I'll take your word for it. I'll start putting this stuff away just in case."

Teal started putting the new equipment away.

[Elemental Ninja]

(i'm leaving for a week tomorrow Teal you're in charge of Genesis and Ninjo)
*Genesis looks outside*
Genesis "only one yoshi? yes something is wrong, Teal how many Yoshies are in this fort?"

[Teal]

Teal is currently unaware with what's going on outside the fort. "Only one yoshi?...what are you talking about? If you need to know how many yoshies are in this fort there should be a total of 100 if you count the ones who are refugees and about 67 of them including you and me are the fighters. Remember this is just one base, there are several across the island."

[Elemental Ninja]

Genesis "No look across the moat there is only one yoshi on the other side we usually travel in groups... You got any extra armor around here I'm really nervous about this"

[Teal]

"Yeah there's some in the armory." Teal looked across the moat and noticed Blumeire was talking with the yoshies who arrived by raft. "Haha! Yeah usually we travel in groups but remember I said the humans might have captured Blu? It looks like he escaped from the humans! I don't remember issuing a raft dispatch but who cares. Blu is alive! I'll greet him when he crosses the moat." Teal was obviously happy.

[Elemental Ninja]

(I'm leaving tomorrow for a week Teal is in charge of Genesis and Ninjo but if he doesn't want it then zyph is in charge of them)
Genesis "Neat I'm gonna go get some on... oh and don't let your guard down I'm might be gone a while."

[Zyph]

Right before Jack exited the fort to the outside, a loud beep emitted from his backpack. Immediately, he ran back to Teal.

Jack: "Teal! We have a serious situation! We have intruders coming towards this fort. I really doubt it is one of your Yoshis that triggered my sensors! Look, I heard that there is a single Yoshi that is coming to this fort. But this is most likely a trap! You see, before I went to your little fort of yours, I made sure I put hidden sensors around the area to make sure no one is following me. Protocols mind you."

Jack then looked at his multi-purpose watch to see in which direction the sensor is triggered.

Jack: "And I know there may be some right now keeping an eye at whoever the one Yoshi is out there. Hey Genesis... I know you have some sort of earth power from what I heard and how you managed to detect my little pitfall traps back there at that one base of ours... You must have some sort of seismic detection, but I don't know how large your range is. If you can, try to detect if there are any hostilities out there behind the Yoshi's back. Knowing the types of armies dispatched in this island, you can be sure they have men with bows ready to shoot alotsa arrows. There are probably some that have their arrows ready to take down what I see to be a blue Yoshi the second whatever their plan is failed."

Jack started thinking how to make use of paranormal powers to make a decent defense.

Jack: "Look, if it is what I fear, that being some of the human army around this place... there may be some casualties we may not be able to prevent. I have enough armor on me, including my backpack, to have protection from various arrows. And I still have alot of tech inside my backpack. But still...

So I saw you collapse the walls of one of our bases, summoned up walls of earth yourself, and used seismic manipulation to make a massive wave to make yourself get to Yoshi's Island faster, Genesis. I know a lot of creative ideas to make up a pretty good defense with said powers. I mean, from what I can see this fort is surrounded by water for who knows how deep and it is a football's length wide. Then we have earth around the water. I'm not sure how much your limit is right now.

Arrows. Arrows. Arrows. Well from what I seen so far, it is like many of you Yoshis have some sort of paranormal powers. Correct me if I am wrong with that. But well, if say one were to have power of wind, you can manipulate the wind to alter the arrows path and thus make the arrows miss. If one were to have power of water, you can make use of the water and make some sort of waterwall... I dunno. We still don't know much about you Yoshis."

Jack started thinking of how he is to get out of this fort without having his identity revealed, which could create a crisis. Seeing the fort is completely surrounded by a moat and armies could be surrounding the whole fort, he doesn't have much options to escape the fort without notice. If he is to defend how he is, no doubt one may be able to see him, a human, helping the Yoshis... a sign of betrayal to the humans. He thought for a while, then he took out the watch he was wearing and motions to hand it to Teal.

Jack: "...it seems I can't leave this place. Anyways, Teal, or any yoshi that would like to volunteer, can you wear this watch for me for a while. I need something to be done. My identity is extremely important and I must not be found out. That last thing I need is some uprising that there are betrayers working, that being humans helping you Yoshis. Please, cooperate with me, I want to get out of here alive and continue to help you all."

[Yoshiken]

Vaidyn smiled as the yoshis on the raft greeted Blumeire. He had his bow slowly moved to one of the yoshis that had arrived from the raft. He signaled his other men to do the same. Kill the yoshi pair without revealing their position.

The idea that was discussed was that when other guards would see two yoshies dead on the ground near Blumeire, more rafts would be sent to investigate, thus allowing more available rafts to carry Vaidyn and his men across.

Vaidyn signaled to fire with just a flick of his finger, and his men released the volley of arrows. 5 were shot at the yoshi on the left, and 5 were shot at the yoshi on the right. No one spoke a word. The arrows flew at their targets with the same silence. They just had to keep themselves hidden.

"Perfect, right on target" Vaidyn whispered.

[Teal]

Ninjo used his linkpearl again: "I repeat! I am near the base!"

Blumeire's eyes opened wide seeing the two yoshies get killed off by the arrows. He stiffened up being more nervous. The two yoshies have fallen in the water and floated there lifeless. Since a few of the guards were supervising the yoshies who were using the raft they became suspicious after seeing them fall into the water. They watched carefully at the yoshies watching them float there face down.

Meanwhile Teal took Jack's watch and put it on. "What...do I need to know the time or something? Anyway as for paranormal abilities...we call them elemental abilities mind you. Only a handful of us can use them. I myself can control the winds. Genesis can use earth...Blumeire can control water..."

Blumeire became enraged and felt like a disgrace for causing the death of the yoshies before him. He turned to face Vaidyn and quickly moved his arms in a pattern. Suddenly a big wave of water from the moat swamped the soldiers. The water level of the moat dropped a few feet.

Guard yoshies: "What the heck is he doing?"

Genesis exited the armory and shouted: "There's a number of humanoid creatures somewhere around the outside of the moat!"

[Zyph]

After Teal puts on the watch, Jack just waits for a few seconds.

Jack: "Elemental abilities. Paranormal abilities. What is the difference? Paranormal means anything not normal, and elemental abilities are not normal, thus I just call them paranormal."

The watch makes a few beeps then suddenly makes a quick flash. It indicates that the watch has finished analyzing Teal's body and the anatomy of the Yoshi body as well as some analysis of the biology of the Yoshi body.

Jack: "And I'll take my watch back."

Jack just took the watch off Teal and wear it back on.

Jack: "What color will suit me best... I think I know..."

Jack does something with his watch and makes another flash. After the flash dissipated, Jack now appears to be a white Yoshi, but isn't really one.

Jack: " *grins* What do you think ...hold on a second Teal... great about time you got it done. You have it downloaded already? Great... It better work!"

Jack then took out what appears to be a strap and strapped it around his neck, and presses a button. He also then puts another earpiece separate from his transmitter piece and puts it on the other ear. It enables Jack to speak in the Yoshi language and understand it. Jack's yoshi voice may seem lower than normal.

Jack: " estt tset sett *makes a couple garbled sounds*... test. Yoshi! Can you understand me?"

Jack however is unsure this tech even works. He just heard Cevik finally finished programming it just now with the help of his friend's who claimed was able to learn the Yoshi language themselves in their travels.

Cevik: "Well... about time I finished programming that language program. But anyways, Janet... can you do me a favor?"

Janet: "Yes... what might that be?"

Cevik: "Immediately go back to the base where we last been to. A Yoshi sent from Genesis is waiting for one of us. I'm sure said Yoshi would trust you..."

Janet: "Alright, I got it. I'll bring backup just in case."

Janet then runs out of the room ready to meet Ninjo. Cevik then activates his own device to connect to the Yoshi's linkpearls.

Cevik: "Alright. Someone will be meeting you over at the base.

Teal is your name? Well... my name is Cevik and I ask that you do not reveal either Jack's or my name to any of the humans. Unless you want your only help to be gone, you will keep our identities a secret... Oh since I know everyone who has a linkpearl device can hear me... Don't reveal Janet's identity either. end of message."

[Teal]

Teal watched Jack do whatever he was doing with the watch. After the flash it appeared that Jack had turned into a white yoshi. "What!?" Then he saw Jack put on a strap around his own neck and press a button. Jack sounded like a normal yoshi. "Alright....all I have to say is you are FAR ahead of your time...and yes I can understand you."

The yoshies who were observing Jack were shocked to see the capabilities of human technology. Any background conversations that were going on have now been stopped. The area because eerily quiet. One of the yoshies were so surprised, they popped out an egg.

Teal slowly walked around Jack seeing how he does in fact look like a yoshi. "Well this makes things easier for us to hide your identity." Some of the yoshies looked at each other particularly at the refugees. They began to question their belief that there isn't any other humans hiding in the fort; starting to wonder if there are other humans disguised as yoshies.

Teal: "Now...Genesis what were you saying earlier?"
Genesis: "I sense that there is a group of creatures somewhere near the moat."

[Zyph]

After Jack seemingly turned into a Yoshi and successfully sounded like one, he looked at the reactions of the Yoshis around him.

Jack (Yoshi voice): "Well... seems you Yoshis can understand me now. And yeah, my friends and I are way ahead of our time. And for the Yoshis that may now be wondering if other humans are disguised as you... no there are not. Only three can do so at the moment, one being me. The other two are my friends, and we don't share our tech with our government. Like we'd give them tools that could be used for something totally wrong, such as more wars... and er... nice egg.

Group of creatures somewhere the moat? I told you there is some hostile humans out there! ...Did I just sense someone making a tide?"

Jack went and see what is happening outside and see Blu make a massive wave of waters.

Jack (Yoshi voice): "THEY'RE GONNA KILL THAT BLUE YOSHI! NO!"

Jack starts concentrating and deciding whether or not to act now and try to save Blumeire, or let Blumeire die and save his energy for later.

Jack (Yoshi voice): "If we don't do something, you can expect that Yoshi to be covered in arrows!"

Meanwhile, Janet soon arrived seemingly alone at the ruined base where she is to meet Ninjo.

Janet: "Where is that Yoshi?"

[Yoshiken]

Vaidyn quickly pulled out a grappling hook and connected it to a high branch on one of the trees. Most of his men followed with their own equipment, but there were still a few who were swept under the current. The water continued to hit them hard and fast.

"Shoot him in the arms and legs!" Vaidyn shouted to his men. "Break his concentration to stop this magic, but do not kill him! He is still useful to us."

Vaidyn, along with his men, tried to maneuver their bows and arrows even with the water current rushing past them. It was almost impossible to aim correctly, and some lost themselves in the process and either dropped their bows, their arrows, or themselves, into the water. However, some were able to shoot off their arrows at Blumeire. Vaidyn could only hope that there wasn't an accidental hit to any vital areas.

[Teal]

The yoshi who laid the egg just looked around pretending it didn't happen.

Teal looked out where Blumeire is and saw that the wooded area next to him was flooded with water and that the two yoshis that were using the raft seemed to have vanished from his view. "Hmm..." Teal used his linkpearl: "Defense units in the moat fortress. Dispatch from the south gate and investigate the moat west perimeter where the blue yoshi is with the empty raft."

"Jack would you like to make a different alias to protect your identity? So what are you going to do now? If you really want to, you can catch up and go with the unit that's about to investigate that blue yoshi's area. You are also welcome to stay here instead if you need to. Either way I don't want the humans who are helping us...to get injured."

A raft carrying an armed group of about 12 yoshies (and Jack depending on his choice) left from the south gate. Landed at the south perimeter of the moat. 2 yoshis stood by the raft to guard it and the rest started heading in the northwest direction vanishing into the woods.

Several yoshis armed themselves with their bows up in the guard towers observing Blu's immediate area.

Teal looked at Genesis. "Genesis we need to discuss your next mission which is to assassinate key members of the humans. We need to wait for more details from Cevik."

Teal, Pan, Genesis, and an officer rank yoshi, (and Jack depending on his choice) went to the briefing room. Teal tapped his linkpearl: "I heard that Ninjo has arrived at your location. We are also awaiting more details on what you need us to do. For safety...you can use a different alias to protect your identity."

Blumiere was struck by an arrow in his leg making him almost fall over. The water accumulated mud and saturated the soldiers that were caught in it. Then Blu was struck in his other leg making him collapse and the water settled. He is still alive but in intense pain.

In Janet's area, Ninjo's voice was heard from the shadows. "Human...did you come alone?" Ninjo was no where in sight.

[Zyph]

Jack (Yoshi voice): "Different alias? Sure, just call me Valo. Right now, give me a second to think."

Jack went and saw Blumiere get struck by arrows. Jack then finally decided to do one little trick. He first looked at where the sun is, then concentrated on the area around Blumiere towards where Vaidyn and his men are. Channeling the light from the sun with his powers, Jack made a concentrated ball of light not visible to the normal human eye and make it gloriously flash towards Vaiydyn and his men, temporarily blinding them with powerful light for a few seconds which would induce an aftereffect hallucinations, enough to hinder one's concentration abilities, that lasts some minutes. Lastly, he decided to make Blumiere have temporary invisibility at the same time make a rather intricate, detailed illusion seen only by the human eye of him at a different location far away as if it seems Blumiere is getting away with a trail of blood somewhere in the forest in hopes to make the arrows shoot elsewhere and avoid capture. This lasts only for a couple of minutes, hopefully enough for Blumiere to be effectively defended and perhaps rescued by the Yoshis. Jack immediately went to the briefing room where Teal is and collapsed onto his knees, breathing heavily from the sudden drain of energy.

Jack (Yoshi voice): "Ack! *pants* I used too much energy in such a short interval... I'll stay here for now. Do you have any fruits here? I would really appreciate it if someone gives me even one. And..."

Jack communicates Cevik with his own communication device.

Jack (Human voice): "I'm in a rather dangerous situation. Some humans are attacking where I am with the Yoshis. I'm in some fort with Teal here at the moment and some of the humans have seen some of the Yoshis magic abilities... You know, now that I think of it, if whoever is the leader of the squad of humans attacking us saw such magic, there is a chance our little paranormal sector may be contacted by the government on that leader's request to really take action in this war by counteracting the Yoshis magic with our 'magic'. Thus far we kept our info of Yoshis having magic to ourselves, but now others know... This means complications on our goals of helping Yoshis... you know why..."

Jack then looks at Teal.

Jack (Yoshi voice): "If you haven't heard from Cevik already, we work under the government. But what you probably don't know is that we are from the Paranormal Secret Sector of the government. We deal with things paranormal, which includes magic. In our sector, we also have state of the art tech made from ourselves... though we keep such tech from the government. I already told you why.

Since I know you can understand human language Teal, yes... some of us may be forced to go against you sadly. But I really don't want to betray you all, honestly. None of us in our sector does. All of us actually detest wars. We make tech though in hopes that if in the case a war does arise, we can stop it ASAP. But if it is the case our sector really gets involved in this war to the combative level... I hope we still can figure out ways to work together. I'm sure it is possible still..."

Jack then looks down sadden and disappointed at the new thought.

Cevik received a message from Teal that he is awaiting for details on what they can do. Shortly afterwards, he received the message from Jack. Cevik thought about what Jack said.

Cevik: "Jack's right... our sector may get even more involved and... I may be forced to... no... NO!"

Cevik starts panicking about the thought, then soon calms down.

Cevik: "Calm down... calm down... things will work out I hope. Maybe I might... yes... I got it... But for now..."

Cevik puts on his voice strap around his neck, inputs his code, and talks a bit, getting his voice adjusted to speak in Yoshi language. Afterwards, he takes out his communication device and contacts Teal through his linkpearl.

Cevik (Yoshi Voice): "Cevik here... Alias you say? Well, then call me Salama for now on. So I heard from Jack that we may be forced to... ahem... harm you. But I will make sure that even if we are forced, we will find ways to help you.

As for what you can do at the moment... Uhm, right now I am searching the government restricted databases to see who is in charge of leading the attacks on Yoshi's island"

Cevik then searched through some governmental databases with the computers and came up with a file.

Cevik (Yoshi Voice): "There is one man by the name of... Vaidyn. A very logical man and a strategist. He's dangerous I will say. From what I see, he has a rather not so great past. I can't get much more about Vaidyn, but I can say he will always try to be one step ahead of his foes. He is afterall, an elite strategist. The government must really want to make sure they win the war if they hired him. That is all I can get from who is one of the leaders attacking your island... As for key people who we can assassinate... I have yet to know who we can at this moment, but time will tell. For now my instructions is to... stay alive and be wary. Do what you think is best for your Yoshis. You are a leader afterall I assume. You are up against a gruesome man. Right now, I need more time to think through what we can do together. End of message. Oh, by the way... I am the leader of our Paranormal Sector. You can still trust me, I hope."

Cevik then decides to leave the room and went back to the room where the Yoshis are held. Cevik just sighs and look at them worriedly.

Janet looked around the base looking for Ninjo. She then heard Ninjo.

Janet: "Yes... I came alone... along with two of one of my trusted friends... My friends are just waiting to transfer us is all. Where are you?"

Janet just looks around. She is seemingly unarmed, and wearing what seems to be normal clothes.

[Yoshiken]

"Gahh!" Vaidyn shouted as he covered his eyes with his hands. Light flashed in front of him and his men, blinding them for what seemed like forever. when their vision returned, everything was blurry. They could make out a figure that looked like Blumeire running into the woods with a trail of blood following.

"He is getting away, sir," one of Vaidyn's soldier's exclaimed.

"Let him. I wasn't expecting to face off with so many magic users. I came prepared though. There is a device back at camp that is directly connected with the homefront unit that deals especially with magic. I will contact them myself and request backup," Vaidyn replied confidently.

"You mean the paranormal unit?" A newer soldier asked.

"Yeah, yeah, whatever they call themselves nowadays. Now, fall back!" Vaidyn shouted, leading the way.

[Teal]

Outside the fort the defense unit of 10 that was dispatched by Teal arrived to Blumeire's location. 4 of them carried Blu to the empty raft that was nearby and moved the raft toward the entrance. The remaining 6 investigated the area for any sign of the enemy. Unfortunately Blu's water attacked washed away most of the evidence.

Teal: "I see...let me know when you have further instructions Mister Salami" Teal said to Cevik over linkpearl.
Teal followed Jack outside and witnessed his flash attack. "Whoa nice move that would definitely be bad if used against us...Let's hope that your sector won't have to attack us Valo."
Pandora had gone for a moment and then returned to give Jack a bowl of fruit as was requested.
Pan: "...here you go."
Teal: "It's likely to happen anyway though...There's always going to be a way to work it out."

The yoshis brought Blu in who was unconscious and took him to the infirmary. They also brought the two dead yoshis who were shot with arrows.
Teal: "Blu is okay...that's a relief but...our poor brethren..."
Pan's mood melted from being nervous to deep sadness. She shed a tear and hugged onto Teal.
Teal: "Pan...I'm sorry you had to see that..." Teal beckoned a couple yoshis over. "I can't bear to see them like this...remove the arrows carefully we need to give them a burial." Teal shed a tear but quickly wiped it away. "Come on...I need to stay strong...this war will end soon enough." He thought to himself. "Well this means there were bad humans in that area! We need to tighten our defenses and send out reconnaissance units to scout the area. I will create a linkpearl for each unit...and yes I'm going to differentiate between the bad humans and good humans from now on."

Genesis: "...Those bad humans are going to pay for what they've done!" Genesis angrily contacted Cevik via linkpearl. "Salama! Tell me who needs punishment now! Point me in the right direction and I'll see to it that they will not live to see another day!"

Ninjo: "Ah...you're that human we negotiated with earlier." Ninjo make himself visible and stood in front of Janet. "I have arrived to rescue the rest of my squad. Will you show me to them?"

[Zyph]

Jack saw Pan give him a bowl of fruit.

Jack (Yoshi voice): "Thanks."

Jack simply ate a few fruits. He then saw the Yoshi brought in. He then saw Blumiere as well as the two dead Yoshis. He noticed Pan and Teal shedding a tear.

Jack (Yoshi voice): "*sigh* Sorry... I really am..."

Jack stood up and inspects the two dead Yoshis.

Jack (Yoshi voice): "Yeah... they're dead. They've been hit at vital areas here, here, and here."

Jack (human voice): "If only she was here, she could probably save them seeing they're only dead for not too long..."

Jack then decides to get from his backpack a special kit. He then thinks about Blumiere who was brought in unconscious.

Jack (Yoshi voice): "Teal, just excuse me for a bit. I'll visit Blumiere in the infirmary if you don't mind. Where the arrows has hit him... *sigh* He might not be as okay as you think. If I recall, us humans like to tip our arrows with a poison... but even if it isn't, the arrow tips are dirty. That said, there could be a very high chance Blumiere's wounds could be infected, which could be fatal if not treated properly.

I'm not sure how good you Yoshis are with medical stuff, but I don't want to take chances of losing another Yoshi. I know some medicinal tricks, but I'll be going now."

Jack then, with the kit at hand, went off and walked into the infirmary.

At the base, Ninjo suddenly appeared to Janet. Janet tried her best to stay calm.

Janet: "Of course I will lead you to your friends."

Janet's two personal paramedics seem to quickly appear behind Janet.

Paramedic: "Have you found the Yoshi yet?"

Janet: "He's right over here... Oh, don't mind them Yoshi, they're my friends. They're here to make sure nothing goes wrong. Now then, your Yoshi friends? Just follow us. I also ask that you keep the location I am to lead you a secret."

A paramedic hands Janet a mask and some cloth. Janet puts it on around her head.

Janet: "My identity must be kept a secret. For now on, just call me Elama. Now let's get going. Quickly now. Oh and, if you have a name, please do tell me what it is along the way."

Janet and her paramedics start moving briskly to the direction of their hideout, Janet looking back at times to make sure Ninjo is following them.

Cevik: "Salami? Geez, whatever. Close enough"

Cevik then received Genesis' message. Cevik was shocked at the hostility of Genesis' tone of voice.

Cevik: "My gosh... What an angry Yoshi. I don't know any targets as of now that you can go after. I'm still researching on that... *sigh* But I guess blowing up another base of soldiers or something should content him. I really don't want to get on his bad side. I need to think..."

Cevik just continues watching the Yoshis. Some of them were staring at Cevik. Others are just fixated at the drawings of Yoshis. Others just eat the fruits from the bowl. A few tried pounding out of the cell to no avail. Cevik then decided to say something to the Yoshis in the cell.

Cevik (Yoshi Voice): "Please, please... calm down. I'm only trying to help you. One of your Yoshi friends is going to pick you up. I saved you all from death, so please calm down. I'm sure you know who Genesis is, and he sent someone to get you all. I'm sorry for whatever pain you are all going through ever since the war started... *sigh* I really am, and I want to end it..."

[Yoshiken]

Vaidyn walked heavily back to camp, his boots covered in mud. Men ran in and out of the forest, scouting the area. A squad was sent to Torin, Vaidyn's right-hand man, to meet him in this location right away.

Vaidyn walked into his tent, and grabbed a strange device. The device was a communicator that linked up to the leader of the paranormal unit of the army.

"Who is the guy that I will be talking to again?" Vaidyn asked one of his soliders.

"Cevik, sir."

"Oh, right, I remember now," Vaidyn replied with a lackluster tone. He grabbed the communicator, and put it to his mouth. "Greetings. This is Vaidyn, do you copy? I repeat, Cevik, do you copy?"

He waited patiently for a response.

[Zyph]

While looking over the Yoshis, Cevik suddenly received a message. The message was from Vaidyn.

Cevik: "You got to be joking me... I just looked up that person's file. I guess we afterall did get contacted. This just complicates things. Urgh."

Cevik then decides to reply back to Vaidyn. Cevik makes sure that he isn't talking in Yoshi language as well.

Cevik: "I... copy...? Vaidyn you say? What brings you to contact me? And uhm... what is happening over there?"

Cevik decides to wait for a response back, expecting negativity.
