Would everyone be okay with it if I deleted his topic, advertising his new forums? Its a good idea, go for it!

Pssssh, I'm down for it. The LAST thing we need is an advertisement for a forum that we no longer have any association with.

Might as well get rid of the "messing with the boards features" topic as well. Its not exactly relevant anymore.

I agree, now that we are no longer affiliated with him, anything involving that subject, excluding this thread for now, should either be deleated or locked and thrown into the Filing Cabinet. That's just my opinion though.

But the problem is: What if anyone else thinks that this forum has disappeared? And went to his forum instead?

But the problem is: What if anyone else thinks that this forum has disappeared? And went to his forum instead? That's my concern as well. At first, I though Soul erased YC and started out fresh. I wouldn't even be here right now if I hadn't contacted PFY and gotten the link.

Yeah, but some of the older members might be confused, I was, look at my post above.

I doubt it will happen. I know I never accessed the boards via YoshiArt, and the forum URL is the same as it has been. If they go to his board instead, well...considering how quiet it is so far, if someone goes there by mistake they'll most likely post and ask what happened (I can guarantee this will happen at least once). The best we can all do is spread the word. I have a link to the forums on my dA journal. As for affiliation, we're working on that matter as well. Hold tight for the moment, we're doing as best we can.

Usually, I go straight here; I don't pass through Yoshiart.com. My concern is that some people don't know the site for this one, or even that it still exists.

Yeah, I always went through Yoshiart, too lazy to add it to my favorites. But like what you said, my concern is that they won't know how to reach this place. And if the post at "YC", YS might lock it or deleate it and call it spam.

I'm sure someone could be brave enough to go in there and tell people via PM that YC hasn't vanished...

Well, I know that an admin can email all of the members at once. There's a feature they should have where they can type in the email once, and send it to every member at the same time. Could that be of assistance?

That could possibly work. Actually, I think any staff member can do that, not just admins. It is possible that people could just assign their verification email to a junk mailbox, but I think that they would have to check it once in a while. It could be good to give a heads-up email to everyone.

There is really no need. Apart from giving him the satisfaction of joining, you would only cause further aggravation by mass PMing on his now, self inforced ruling metropolis...in other words, his 'own' territory. The best thing to do is just stay well away from him and his site.

Yeah, but some of the older members might be confused, I was, look at my post above. Uhm... "older members" can be informated via MSN, AIM, IRC, ECT by other "older members" - so it isn't a lost affair, heh ;)

True, but some of us might not have an IM program. If I didn't have MSN, I'd be thinking right now that YC was erased and started anew, when in fact, it was just un-affiliated.

Yeah, because if I hadn't asked PFY about it, I'd be there thinking it was just a cleaned out version of this forum! True, because Soul practically copied the entire layout of YC, except adding a "Multilingual Forum" under the Other Fan Fic forum. I think so that he could trick his members to think that he was "rebuilding" the forum.
