yes exactly, the reason i started this thread was so people could get a good concept of my idea, and since we discussed what NEEDS to be planned! i say we move on to planning it now! ^^
so what would you all like to plan first?

Okay, first question we need to start asking ourselves: Where are we holding this? First, we need to decide which country we should hold this in. My best guess is US because that's where the majority of the members live. Then, we would have to decide on a city where we would hold this. I don't think we should do this in an overly huge city, like New York City, because of possibly stuff like traffic, overcrowding, and other confusions of that sort. (I'm not talking about smaller metropolitan areas such as Rochester or Syracuse, NY, for example [it doesn't have to be in NYS; I'm just listing examples]) But we also can't do this in a place where you would have to catch a "puddle-jumper" airplane from another bigger airport in the region.

I would recommend somewhere along the East Coast for the benefit of those in Europe, and there is a few. New York is actually good because of its size. If this isn't intended to take place for a number of years, then things like it being a big city don't really matter. You'll all be older, able to look after yourselves in a big city. There's also plenty of places to stay in New York. On one side, its the easiest and nearest place to get to from Europe. On the plus side for those in the US, JFK is the main hub of low-cost carrier JetBlue which fly to most major cities in the US. Given the distances involved, there's no reason not to have some kind of get together lasting for a number of days. Another plus, there are a lot of sights and places to visit as a group in NYC.

New York sounds quite probable even for me since my grandma lives there and my dad grew up there. I'm sure he'd love to take me whenever the time is right.

Heh, maybe I was wrong; maybe New York would be okay. By the time we get this thing all sorted out, I could actually have my license and could just drive down there. XD (Hopefully, the gas prices won't still be incredibly ridiculous by then...) (I really can't say much about big cities yet; the biggest city I've ever been in in my life is Cleveland...)

Yes, most likely when we are older, when this takes place, New York sounds like quite the place. I've always wanted to go there, but certain things don't really allow me to. This would be a great reason to go as well, but you might want to find an area to stay in thats not to expensive nor to cheap (slums). Keep in mind New York is the type of city where its, spend your money first, think about it later. Everything there, is double the price it is here, so many people say. So keep that in mind when going, when and if this occurs in that location.
I wouldn't put everyone up in an exotic or hot spot location as well, but, of course if its a convention at this multitude and we would all be much older, having us all in one hotel is improbable, and likely we will be spread all over. Just keep that expensive money issue in order.

NY does sound like a good place though. Lots of things to do. There is that new nintendo center-which would be a very cool place to visit.

In three years, I'll be 18/19-ish. I'll have my license by then. I could drive to NYC; it's only two interstates (and about 250+ or so miles) away from my house (includes one toll road).

In three years I'd be 18 so I might be able to come. I wouldn't be able to donate, but I could start saving money and pay for my own ticket. I would feel better about paying me myself instead of donating in case it doesn't work out, then I'd still have all of my money. But I plan on going to college after high school and I'm a sophomore now, so I'm afraid school will get in the way for me. I'm not sure how the school year works for college.
New York sounds good to me. There are plenty of places I'd like to visit there. As long as it's in the U.S. I can say there's a good chance of me going. Other then that, I don't know, but I can try.
