No, it's supposed to be in New York City (Upstate [New York] is the rest of New York excluding NYC and Long Island).

The problem being with planning years in advance are that people's priorities change. Moving, relationships, work...they all happen at some point, and I would think that anything could happen within the next three (or however many it is) years. Its difficult to commit and say 'Yes, you can count on me being there!' when its such a vast length of time for it to come...some people could've moved halfway around the world by that time.
And as a sidenote, how much do you have in donations so far?

And so that means...you haven't saved up anything either? Theres nothing to stop you from collecting a cash-pool yourself...or do you have to be 18 to own a jar these days? I'm even more skeptical about this than when you started, hahah.

Koshizu's right - we can't rely on other people to donate enough to pay for our fees. We all need to personally save money - a little bit goes a long way! I have no problem with money since I'm near the city and a train ticket's like 8 dollars, but others will have to save a LOT.

So was I. I thought the whole point of this was to pool-in for those who live thousands of miles away. Otherwise it was unfair, wasn't it? I don't know. I doubt this'll ever come about anyhow...

even tho I am a total optimist, i have to admit, im even starting to doubt this will happen. I guess, at the current moment, its out of reach for the boundaries of reality ^_^. ill delete this topic in a day or two just in case anyone wants to leave some last comments.
it was good while it lasted tho XD.

Well, it could happen, but I think that we are a few years ahead of ourselves. Wait a couple of years, and if everyone's still interested, we'll revisit the idea.
