I'm not sure how to get MEW in Blue but I can tell you how to get it in Gold, Silver and Crystal: You must obtain a complete Poke'dex and show it to either Prof. Oak or Prof. Birch ( I don't remember which and if that doen't work show it to one of their aids). EDIT: I actually recall not being able to get MEW in Blue version. hummm.... I thought that was how to get Celebi the extremely long way...

You can only get Celibi in the japinese version of Gold Silver and Crystal. Are you sure? If that were true wouldn't it be impossible to get it? There would have to be a way to get Celibi without a Gameshark. Wouldn't Nintendo make it possible? They hate Gamesharks so don't you think it's possible without a Gameshark?

Mew is unattainable in the English Version of Red and Blue except through a special tournament thing Nintendo Held.
Celebi is unattainable in the English Version of Gold, Silver, and Crystal. I do know however how to get it in the japanese version. Somewhere along the line you find a "Dark Ball" that is useless. Does nothing. You give it to the ballmaker ban and come back the next day in the same hour. He giuves you a Gold Ball or something. You go the the shrine in the Ilex forest and Celebi appears. Celebi is horribly weak and crappy.

Celebi is horribly weak and crappy. That's very true. However, I still want to get it so I can fill my Pokedex. Then I'll torture it and eventually trade it. If I can ever get it.

no, u can get mew. 1. you CANNOT fight the youngster on route 25 2. YOU CANNOT fight the gentelman out-side of the underground road on rute 8
if i remember correctly, you must fight the youngster, then fly and attempt an attack with the gentelman. right after the exclamation point appears above his head, you must press start (even before he starts to say stuff to you) fly to lavender town, and head west. you will run into mew as soon as the screen changes to route 8.
this cheat only works with the red, blue, and yellow pokemon versions. it has been tested, and approven accurate.
note: it takes alot of practice to hit the start buttion before you ingage in a battle.

Well thats really a glitch in the game. There is no other way to get MEW exept for using Gameshark or trading from Gold, Silver, or Crystal version.

i think so. my sister had one. ive never played yellow in years, but she used a game shark. below fusia, (thats the one with the safari zone, right?) there was a tiny house. i think if you did somthing special for the man inside, you could get a surfing pikachu. i think he also had a special machine thingy in his house. like i said, i dont really know because my sister used gameshark to get it on her game. i didnt, because i didnt want gameshark to screw my game up. there was also a minigame you could play with surfing pikachu were you surfed waves or something. if what i sayd didnt help you, and you are in desprte need for one of these pikachus who know surf, go to www.gamefaqs.com you should find it there. OH and the sprites when you surf wont be a seel anymore, it will be pikachu on a surfboard.

I just found an article on Surfing Pikachu.
If you've played Pokémon Yellow on the Game Boy Color, did you ever notice that small house on the northern beach of Route 19 that wasn't in Pokémon Blue and Red? This hut is home to the infamous "Surfing Pikachu" mini-game. Here's the deal: if your Pikachu knows Surf, you can play the mini-game Pikachu's Beach right here. The only problem is that Pikachu can't learn Surf... Well, at least not in Pokémon Yellow. Nintendo recently held a contest in which you could win a Surfing Pikachu -- but surely there must be another way to teach the yellow mouse the watery technique, right? But how, how, how?
Fret not -- we're here to help. Here's how it's done. The rumors are true, Surfing Pikachu is hidden in Pokémon Stadium. To teach your Pikachu Surf, you need to first unlock the R-2 (Round 2) mode. Then do the following:
Enter the R-2 Prime Cup's Master Ball division (you have to beat the first three divisions first). Assemble a team that contains a Pikachu that does not yet know Surf. You HAVE to use a Pikachu from your Game Boy game. You cannot unlock Surfing Pikachu using a Rental Pokémon. Do not register your team! Pick it directly from your Game Boy cartridge. You now have to beat the Prime Cup's Master Ball division using a three-Pokémon team that always contains Pikachu. Pikachu has to be in every one of the eight battles. You are not allowed to use any continues. If you do, you won't get Surfing Pikachu. Once you have fulfilled all the above conditions, you are shown an award screen with Pikachu standing on a surfboard. From here on, Pikachu can use the powerful Surf technique both in battle and during gameplay (Game Boy versions only).
If you've got Pokémon Yellow, you can now also access the hidden Surfing Pikachu mini-game (Pikachu's Beach) and ride the waves for points. Simply go to the small hut on the northern beach of Route 19 and talk to the surfer dude inside.
Note that there is also a GameShark code that lets you access Surfing Pikachu, but we advise against using it, since it can mess up your Pokédex and save data. It's not worth the trouble.

Still... I don't have it. Speaking of Pok'emon Stadium, I've been wondering if theres a way to get the legendarys you don't get when you start.

i think you either have to regester them from a gameboy game so they become retals, or just tough playing in the stadium. if you win certain matches, you might win a legendary as a rental. also, try the pokemon tower.

well, i cant like say "first use tackle, then a tail whip" but i can help.
first i recomend bringing a load of ultaballs with you. when you get to one of the legendary birds, put them to sleep with attacks like sleep powder, and hpnosis. this will greatly increse your chance of catching them. remeber to use their weeknesses (ex. articuno is an ice/flying type so therefore it would be weak against a fire or electric type.)
