Going Bunsen burner on it... I gotta keep that one in mind. I said to myself, watching as the dragon took his time looking at the new environment, and treating the famed purple poison plant as if it was nothing. Enrique was rushing the dragon, but he had a good reason. Just because the dragon was a foreigner, he was capable of helping and probably should try to. That raised an old debate I've had on my mind awhile. Come to think of it... if people, even yoshies don't die, there'll be overpopulation and at some point starvation. Would it be good if only the fittest lived? I mean, the effects of removing evolution could be catastrophic. But they're yoshies, and I just can't stand to see yoshies suffer. I've never been able to see which was better, whipping out the weaker so not everyone will starve or trying desperately to save everybody? I hope no one can mind read, I'd probably be killed for thinking such a thing.
The debate continued in my mind while I was sitting there, starting to wonder at how this flower got here. Well lesse... this flower can't be native because if it evolved from something, it will have to have evolved from a harmless plant in mere days. Vicks indicated an attack like this happened before though, so could it be the specimen appeared once out of the blue, hid, and has come back out? Far as I can tell, either there's a plant hiding where we cannot notice it and spreading its spores, the dragon species are the cause and have happened to visit before (after all, they're popular on his planet), or this is a species that can change its traits drastically in merely one generation. Wonder if my crystal has anything to do with it. I recal someone in the party mentioning something of having gone under a waterfall and seen something? I forget.
Still thinking about everything, I started to approach one of the vines, and looked at a purple flower. It seemed so dark and mysterious. I had always seen dark to be bad as a stereotype, but here was a purple flower spreading poison. I took a few steps closer and I was only a foot or so away. The plant seemed harmless, but from what everyone said, it was the cause of the poison. Wait a second, the dragon ate the plant and felt no effect, and he also said it was popular on his planet. Either it doesn't affect him... or this plant isn't the source of all this misery... only one way to find out. I didn't give myself time to think more, I stupidly snatched the flower, awaiting some dreaded effect...

I looked over to see Teo grab a flower one second too late. "No!" I shouted, but I knew I probably couldn't grab the flower from him without him still being hurt in some way. Why would you grab a poisonous flower, Teo? I had changed my mind and was almost positive about my theory about Gar, now, at any rate. Apparently, the dragon was taking his time clearing the vines. I couldn't see what he was doing, but Enrique had obviously seen Gar eating one of the flowers. But now I was more than slightly irked about this whole thing. Gar eating the poisonous flowers, and then Teo grabbing one? What was wrong here? Not too much I could do about it but stand and look confused. The argument between Vicks and Twi in the background didn't do much to help.

Up to this point Moot had kept himself in the background, not having a clue what was going on, what with moon-eggs crashing, and dragons with amnesia, and a whole bunch of other stuff he didn't understand. Not that he wasn't paying attention of course, he just didn't know what any of this was about. Of course, most of the group were probably clueless too.
To add to the confusion, Gar was making a meal out of the supposedly poisonous flowers that had got this whole mess set into motion. The only explanation Moot could think of here, was that Gar was immune to the poisons effects. Either that, or he was an idiot.
Thinking that plucking the flowers one by one would take too long, and that apparently nobody in the group had a book of matches with them, the best thing Moot could come up with was cutting the whole shebang down and doing something else with them, which he currently hadn't thought of yet. There must be something he could do with the scythe he'd brought with him, at least.
Moot decided to break his silence. "You know, instead of just picking up these killer flowers one by one, how about we just cut them down and stash them somewhere out of the way? Or just let our poison connoisseur finish them off once we've actually got them moved from there?"

Gar turned to look at his companions, chuckling, "I'm not gonna pick them one by one. Just eating one... ...I haven't had one of these in a long while, and they're very beneficial to dragonkind. This water...it's just like the tea my mother would make when I was sick." he smiles, and turns to face the barrier of vines, "Looks like that flower helped me remember a little... ...Okay. I'll help you now." He pulled his head back, drawing in a deep breath...and letting forth a large blaze of fire, burning the vines to a crisp in seconds, clearing the river of the choking miasmatic flowers.
---
Vicks stood by to watch, amazed that this sword-bearing dragon could do so much, "...He's amazin'. But 'least our poison problem is done, we jus' gotta get these crystal pieces back to the village to purify the water so they can drink it, and all'll be well, right guys?!"
--- Oddly enough, Teo's would feel a little more energetic upon touching the flower, and an odd change coming over his body... (Teo, your shapeshifting powers have been unlocked, however, you're being forced into dragon form for the moment.)

"Ha! Awesome!" Strangie raised his fists in victory. "He got 'em out of the way! Onwards, my friends!" Strangie started walking along the now-cleared river. "We'll be at the village in no time, now. Hopefully."
He looked back to make sure everybody was coming along, too. "Man, with this new Gar guy, we'll be out of here in no ti- wait. What the hell is happening to Teo?"

Enrique stood back as Gar paved the way for the group to advance through his burning powers. After the ashes from the fire cooled down considerably, Enrique passed through the scorched area, following Strangie. "Gracias, seƱor," he said back to Gar in a slight Castillian accent. Looking back at the group, Enrique noticed that a new character had entered the scene; it was a dragon; Enrique was oblivious at the fact that the dragon was a new form of an already existing member of the party. "Oh boy... We have company..."

Jay quickly jumped out of the way when Gar burned the vines. Okay, that was close...man, I wonder, hmm...but nevermind that! Jay put his katana on his side, attached to the belt and walks into the burned area. Jay stopped then turned around for a bit, seeing a another Dragon.
"A a-a-nother Dr-Dragon?! OK, this...has to be the second weirdest day of my life..."

I fell into step behind Strangie, trying to figure out what had just happened. I couldn't tell if Gar was trustworthy or not any more, but he certaintly seemed harmless enough. I kept playing the events over and over in my head, from when I woke up healed to just now. I snapped back to the present just in time to see Strangie look back at the group. The look on his face made me curious, too, so I shot a look over my shoulder. I think I'm seeing double.

Twi was idly at the back of the group not really noticing or caring about anything really. The flaming of the vines was something he couldn't give a damn about and the new dragon meerly added to the amount of things he's going to be blamed for being a selfish git about. Twi sat and waited for everyone to go ahead of him so he could just follow on behind. Twi now decided to say nothing, notice nothing, help with nothing and care about nothing now as no-one cared about him but instead just decided to hate him.

Toshi was stood nearby Twi as he watched the vines become engulfed in flames, he smiled knowing that the water would now be pure again. Without saying a word, Toshi walked onwards towards the burnt ashes of the vines, carefully looking at the remains, before turning round and returning to the group...
"Well i'm glad we've dealt with it, though i still have some paranoia within me... still, all i can do is wait and see what will occur next..."

Before I knew it, everyone else knew it, and before that I had changed into my dragon shape, claws needing a bit of sharpening and scales clean as if they had just been polished. Wow, I wanted my other part back pretty bad... but here? This flower has to have some effect positive for dragon kind. It helps out the newcomer, and surged me back into my dragon shape. Good news! I lifted on my two hind legs, controlling my weight with my tail, trying to get used to myself again. I kept looking at my claws, so... foreign now. For some reason, I wasn't very excited, but more dumbfounded than anything, blinking and looking around from another view. The ground seemed far, even though I wasn't big as far as dragons go. It seemed the ol' fear of heights had settled again, time to get used to that again.
Hey, I was back to normal, if anything I should be at least happy and show it! A wide grin spread across my face, and my over all mood really improved from even that grin. "(Alright! Back in action! Now I can step in and have a say in whatever pops up!)" And reminded of which, I cocked my long neck, not very far, but enough so one of my eyes could see behind me, towards Twi. You're going to have to respect me more, I thought, chuckling to myself.

Gar was staring at Teo curiously, head-tilted, "(So are you a dragon as well? Or.. ... ...I'm confused...)" and shook his head, obviously confused, he'd never really met a shapeshifter before, and even if he had, he wouldn't remember it right now, scratching at his head curiously with a claw.
Vicks ignored Teo, tromping on after Strangie, cup of purified water in paw, "Let's go! I gotta save Wedge 'fore somethin' horrible happens.."

"Or you know, you could just barf fire and do it that way, either works..." Moot shrugged his shoulders and followed behind the group that had already moved through the previously blocked path.
Glancing back, he noticed that one of the group had been replaced with a dragon, but up to this point not a lot would have taken him by surprise considering the days previous events. "I wonder if I'll actually get time to actually relax at all." Clearing his head of such trivial thoughts he continued on.
Out of the corner of his eye, he also saw Twi skulking at the back of the group, looking even more out of place than Moot himself did, if such a thing were possible. Twi definately seemed to lack the happy demeanour that the rest of the group of Yoshies had in spades. Not wanting to cause a fuss, he simply raised an eyebrow at the thought, turned around and carried on with the front of the group.

"Well that just... beats all..." said Strangie, looking at Teo. He shook his head and shrugged off the sudden event. "Well, whatever... more dragon power for us, I guess. Let's keep this gravy train rolling!"
With that, he continued onward. "I hope it ain't far to the village... I'd hate to have to trek all the way across the island, but, eh, gotta do what we gotta do..." It looked sort of odd to watch him ahead, considering he was shorter than most of the group - only 5 feet high, compared to most Yoshis who are closer to 6 feet and way shorter than any of the dragonfriends they had now...

Learning that the dragon that just entered the scene was on the side of the traveling party, Enrique dismissed any thoughts that this dragon was a threat. This dismissal allowed Enrique to move forward with the march to the village. "I don't think we're too far from the village at this point," he called out to Strangie ahead.
Looking ahead at leader of the pack, Enrique noticed that Strangie was of a very short stature, approximately a half foot shorter than Enrique, who was smaller than a good handful of Yoshis at five feet and five and a half inches. Observing the majority of the group trailing him, he noticed that most of the remainder of the party were taller than him, and thus Strangie. "Looks like the order of the parade progresses by ascending height..." He noticed that the two dragons didn't seem to move an inch since the second "arrived."

"Awha?! Where'd they go?" Blood dashed around wildly, trying to spot the rest of the group. After going to look for Twi in the forest, he took the wrong exit, and ended up wandering around for a good half hour before finding himself back where he was.
Then something caught his eye, the poisionous bush had been removed from the path, and onward the party trudged past it, back towards the village. He sprinted after them, feeling embarassed about falling behind, but, finally catching up, he slowed to a walk next to Strangie and marched on with the rest of them.
Having nothing to say, he simply picked up a remote rock and sharpened his spear as he walked along.

Enrique was staring in Strangie's direction, and I wondered what was going through his head. It was hard to believe that all this had just happened in a short while. If this was the first day of the festival, what would become of the rest of the week? I had secretly wished something like this would happen, but when it actually did... Our group was certaintly mixed, but that might work out to our advantage. I think I'll try to hang around with these guys for the rest of the week after taking care of the tables, I decided. It was better than just wandering around, for sure.

Alright, it looks like it might be time to help out, and my dragon form isn't going to happen. I had enough fun with my dragon form, it was time to help out on the earth I had grown so accustomed to. The tinge of my skin and bones changing shape overcame, and I was slightly pained by it, no longer being used to it. I regained a yoshi form, and looked down.
"Aw crap," I said, picking up my backpack, the two straps on the back had been ripped off, and it would probably be hard to sow them back on. I decided to sling it over my shoulders, holding it by what I could, and proclaimed"Ah well, nothing lasts forever. Now, let's get to town? I'm sure people are dying there."

Vicks shook his head, "Nah, they ain't dead yet, but we gotta hurry, thass for sure." and dashed up alongside Strangie, walking brisquely.
Gar followed behind, near Teo, looking at him curiously, "A shapeshifter... ...So you're not a dragon?" he seemed kind of dissapointed, chewing on another flower, kneeling to pick something up out of the grass for a moment, eyes widening at the small lens-shaped crystal he held, "..A shard...so the Water Pillar has shattered..." he looked up, surprised at what he said, as if he didn't even make sense to himself for a moment.

As we were walking, the dragon -Gar- seemed dissapointed at the fact that I was not a real dragon. "I might technically be a shapeshifter, but look at it this way, I'm one THIRD dragon!" I said, smiling up at the dragon and walking on.
After awhile, I had noticed the dragon had lagged behind a bit. I turned around to see him pick something up... "Is something the matter?" I know he's going to say nothing, but I'll just ask again then.
