A silouette to Jonus's right slammed his hand onto the table, startling him out of a light dose with a small yelp - his dreams of simplicity and elagence falling to the side as the oligarch continued "Our relations with Mantasthia are already strained enough, and we cannot afford to get careless with a war going on in the east and North. We can't have our more radical populace giving them a reason to cut diplomatic ties. You at the broadcasting section should know this!" He pointed an accusing finger at a siloette to Jonus's forward forward left, at the other side of the table.
"We take care of broadcasting and propaganda." A calm, cool voice replied with barely a shrug "We cannot control our population, nor would we want to. We cannot hold responsibility for this... turn of events. Enough of your rambling, important matters are at hand."
With that the secondary screens darkened with the main one changing to a map of Saphoria, blue arrows showing Neruopan troop movements and X's showing skirmishes. Saphoria had allowed itself to be cut off from all supplies altogether.
Jonus leaned to his left, whispering "I'm gonna... sneak out and get a diet shazta from the Evil Lounge. You need anything?" The other waved him off.

A dagger was thrown and stuck into the wall at one of the Syllvace emblems on the billboard map.
"Typical. Look what he did now," Law said, after throwing it. "Louis runs off on us to go take over Saphoria, and now Syllvace is attacking us. We are completely and utterly screwed."
"Yeah, pretty much," replied Strangie. "Well, hey, we had a good run, right? We did kinda get screwed in the position department as far as the map goes... who the hell picked this spot anyway?"
"I believe it was you."
"Oh. Well. Uh. Crap."
Law looked at the Neuropa positions on the map. "Our only real hope now is Neuropa. If that fails, too, we might as well say to hell with this continent, pack it up and go home. Also, I'm going to go plant a proximity explosive on Louis' vest closet now. See you in half an hour." Law walked off towards the far exit.
Namey looked up at Strangie.
Strangie shrugged. "We still got each other, right?"
"Well, yeah, I suppose."
"... well, except for Louis, at the moment."
"So now we're surrounded on all sides by Syllvace, Xenerex, and Saphoria. Funny how these things work out, huh. Oh well. I'm sure they'll bloodlust enough later where that won't matter, and everybody will betray everybody once again."
"What are you talking about?" Strangie raised an eyebrow and looked down at Namey.
"Think about it, nobody's in this war for spreading good will. Not even this country. Well, now, anyway. Xenerex is inherently evil - there's no doubt about it. Syllvace is full of turncoats. The whole continent is going to explode into total world war. In fact, it already has. I tried to make an alliance with the other nations, but no, Louis' greed got the better of us."
Namey walked towards a balcony, looking through a telescope at the nations in the distance attacking on all sides.
"It is now hopeless. I don't think we will hold out for long. Syllvace is hitting every one of our regions outside of the capital. We are in no position to defend ourselves against 3 or more other nations. This entire continent is full of greedy, hopeless, bloodthirsty villains who want nothing more than land, money, and concubines."
Namey turned around, walking past Strangie, a disgusted look on his face. "If you need me, I'll be in my room, praying to my gods that the greedy ones, including Louis, find some sort of salvation. You're heading this military, aren't you? Call him back already." With that, he was gone, leaving Strangie by himself in the meeting room.
"Damn. This kinda sucks." He sat down and began writing a letter.
"Dear ruler of Neuropa,
We regret to inform you that our crap has been officially ruined. Thanks to retards in our own ranks, the entire continent has turned on us and it will only be a matter of time before we are overrun by Syllvace and Xenerex and probably Saphoria for that matter. Any attempt to aid us will end up being futile - we border your nation on no sides, leaving us flanked everywhere by foes."
Strangie tapped his pen on the desk, looking up at the ceiling for something else to write on about. He looked back at the paper and continued scribbling.
"Namey says everyone is going to hell. When you overrun one of the other nations, he says to send his regards. I'll send mine too, just to go with the group. By the way, we might stop by on our way out. Have you a spa with a hottub?

Ardonis eyes a letter left for him, eyeing Sky's signature at the bottom, making sure it's authentic.
"-The people are content with how our kingdom is, although still feel insecure.- I noticed, without a military lead, it's somewhat a given. -Your instructions are detailed lower in this letter, although, bare in mind, if in the future I do not return,-"
He reads on, going wide-eyed a bit, his face slowly going to one of sorrow. He can't believe what was written on this letter, and it being signed and everything, it was absolute and proper. There was no denying it, although he couldn't help but to lower the letter, grim faced. "Why you? You're the ruler.. I should be the one doing this, not you..."

Coordinator Lazo mumbles to himself as he gazes behind him to the Evil Dark Room's main screen, the only one seeming to be capable of any speech at all as the update showed Syllvacian troops retreating from the territories of Xenerex and instead toward the borders of Lawilia, other oligarchs' reports on Come's activity, Mantasthia's military buildups and Alressor's ominous hesitation falling to the wayside in light of the update.
"...You will never know the tolls your alliances will exact from you."
"Coordinator?"
He turned the chair to face the Evil Council, a small squeak as he slowed the chair's movement. "Such is the problem when you fight for the abstract. You always find yourself becoming the antithesis of what you wish to be. I sometimes wonder how it feels, to butcher your own princibles for desire." He took a deep breath. "I assume sponsorship has already begun, even if the gesture is all but token at this point. We have come too far and have lost too much. We are not turning back."
The screen's update of troop movements continued on the main screen as one of the oligarchs attempted to continue their report on Alressor's suspicious lack of activity, faltering at each flash of the main screen - more interested in seeing the development of real action instead of supposed intentions.

Description of "Educational" video on the subject of Yoshiken, leader of Syllvace. Aired worldwide by the PBC (Phantine Broadcast Consortium) shortly after the invasion of Lawilia (See also: Archive 1.1.0.7.0.).
The commercial fades in on a washed out picture of a little girl, kneeling on the ground and slowly picking the petals off of a flower, counting and gazing at each petal as they're picked away. As she reaches nine, ominous whispering can be heard in the background, slowly growing louder: As the girl's eyes glance to something behind her, the camera zooms in until her pupil fills the screen, blacking it out. A shout of aggression is heard, followed immediately by a swoosh and sickening crunch, the screen subsequently panning across a wasteland filled with bloodied bodies, all face down with katanas sticking out of their backs, hilts high in the air.
As the panning continues, a voice over announces "These are the stakes! To make a world in which all people can live, or to go into the dark. We must either be honest with each other, or we must die." Another voice over then says, "Rebel against Syllvace's treachery today. The stakes are too high for you to stay home."

Twi stood on the balcony of the Citadel overlooking a huge, cheering crowd below him. Banners of Xenerexian pride were seen in the sea of the disturbing, morbid population. Many people help crude weapons but the military of then had well made armaments. Twi raised his hands for silence.
"The time has come for salvation and revenge! Syllvace's teachery shall not go unpunished unless they can destory Lawilia without retreat! IF they do destory Lawilia they shall once again be our allies. But any slip up again and we will strike back!"
The crowd cheers once again.
"Neuropa is attacking us at the west and the seige cannot last long. Reports tell he is advancing this way to attack Syllvace and Xenerex. We must hold ground at all quaters now, the time has come to fight back after a week of staying still! Now we move, for freedom, for revenge, for Xenerex!"
Twi walks into the citadel with his hair and cape blowing in the wind and the cheers of the crowd get quieter and quieter as he goes down back into the war room.
"Continue the troop advance to region 4 and wait for my signal to attack. Keep some troops back, this is going to be a long week!"

This day happened to be yet another day in Yinguredsath, almost the same as the past couple of days. Palikir Dhalriyen was completely in control of what happened in Come; he even told Enrique Rzlowieszczyk that the project was almost complete. Dhavidek Cieszek still continued the defense-building efforts in Nineveh.
On this day, Enrique Rzlowieszczyk and Riano Wladziek spent most of the time playing Stratego. "Boy, are we the productive type," Enriqeu mentioned.
Riano laughed. "Well, we can't do anything without the Come project completed."
"Good point," Enrique replied.

2 figures stood at a small wooden table, in a dim room. One figure was obviously Yoshiken, but the other had his face hidden within the shadows, so he could not be identified. The darkened individual slid a couple of reports across the table to Yoshiken.
Yoshiken placed his hand on the reports, "so you are positive that Neuropa is giving aid to Lawilia, while at the same time spreading negative propaganda about Syllvace?"
The man spoke in a low tone of voice, "yes, Neuropa has become a threat to our nation. He is not bordering you at the moment, but it may not be long until he does. I suggest you start preparing your defenses soon, as a precaution."
Yoshiken lowered his head in despair, "Ok, I understand, you may leave."
The figure exited out without entering into the light to reveal himself. Yoshiken looked at the reports in front of him and sighed, "I hope I am not hindered from protecting the populations, that must be my priority."

"Jad?" "Theodore?" "I think we've given them enough of a headstart, shall we begin?" "At once."
Theodore looked out the window, then at his advisor again. "So, tell me, what are we starting WITH?"
Jad, the brutish looking body guard-advisor put his hands behind his back and recited the news.
"Come has been under attack, but you are barricaded in now. You have 12 food stores, 100 koins but 1100 koins thanks to a generous anonymous donation, and 4 troops. Your attacker is not using over 5 troops in fear of using more food than necessary. Your two emissaries have been sent, and half of one has returned."
"Eurgh... I just hope my other emissary gets HIS message through. Alright, enough sitting around, round up the troops we have left, and LET'S GET GOING!! This is our last shot, my preceding official could have spared me more troops but nooo..."
Theodore and his advisor came out on the balcony, the massive, fortified city creating an ampitheater where whatever he said could be heard across the whole city. He took a deep breath, he had not prepared any speech, he believed if he was to inform the people, it was do be from the heart of the moment.
"CITIZENS!! I have returned, and although my previous ruler was utterly despicable, we have a final chance at recovery! All troops are to meet at the palace by sundown, and we are looking for draftees! Your pay will be generous. That is all." He hoped his speech was enough.
Theodore met personally in the large military chamber, although it was more or less like a small stadium like by the size of it. Having met up in there was Theodore, his advisor, four generals and their four divisions (troops). In addition, a new two unites and two more generals had appeared, totalling 6 generals and 6 units. They had been payed equally, and 800kcoins had been dished out. "Come will hold out," Teo started, "But we need to help it along. We have an attack from the south, but that is not your mission. Your mission is to head North West, where you shall take over. I am sorry to say that a few of you will be lost, but with a new city under our rule, you will have won for the people of our emerging nation."
"YOUR MISSION, is to occupy the region. You will be given adequate food supplies to last in case of a new siege, but if all goes well, we will be able to own that region without fear, and we will be able to recover from this pit of despair! You know your assignments, generals, I trust you. Soldiers, I have equal trust in you. What you are doing is a feat greater than anything you've done yet, and you will succeed! Some of you may seem contredictory to the idea of Battling and killing for peace, but just look at the kingdom south of us! We've been under siege from them, and all they wanted to do is protect their knowledge... by taking over a near-idle and peaceful kingdom! I say that isn't right, and we shall retaliate against that enemy one day. I promise." And with that, the troops were dismissed, right off to the battlefield, while the others stayed to occupy the city.

"Well, then we are safe... for now," Yoshee finished.
She had been consulting Mercury about recent kingdoms' movements now that he was back from his somewhat long journey around the surrounding areas. Lawlia seemed like it was about to turn back with Syllvace's attack, even though the attacks were continuing, and Xenerex was showing signs of movement. Neuropa kept up its attacks, though, which worried Yoshee somewhat. She couldn't fortify the country if only one Area was able to produce anything.
"We must protect the capital at all costs," Yoshee decided. But what of the other Areas? She couldn't lose those for fear of being unable to regain them once the attacks had ceased.
A rather small, rough-looking red Yoshi entered the room.
"...Yes?" The young ruler addressed the newcomer.
The red Yoshi frowned slightly. "I'm Stiffbark's replacement. He was... my grandfather, and has been training me in military tactics ever since we began expansion," He quickly explained.
Mercury glanced at the red Yoshi. "Your name being...?"
"Everyone calls me Bear," He replied. "Fits my personality more than my appearance, I suppose."
Yoshee had to hide a grin. "It doesn't seem we'll be attacking many more things any time soon, but it's good to have you around. Well then, Bear, I now appoint you Lieutenant Bear!"

News from north of Transcitil kept a few government officials south of Transcitil in question. The primary questioning party was Palikir Dhalriyen, wondering why Teo had suddenly started their defense regimens at this particular point in time. "Wladziek, why did Teo wait until just now to realize that he's getting attacked?"
Riano Wladziek was just as puzzled. "No idea, Palikir." Riano then entered Enrique Rzlowieszczyk's office with the news. "You ain't going to believe this. Teo is just initiating defense efforts in Come."
Enrique was confused. "Just now? Where was we four days or so ago when we started attacking Come?"
"Obviously on vacation."

Ivan calmly walked into Yoshiken's quarters and interrupted a large feast he was having. "Yoshiken, I have an urgent question brought to me from some of the officials in the area. They desire to know the reason why you continue to attack Lawilia."
Yoshiken wiped his mouth with a white cloth, "simple, it is because they continue to attack Xenerex. Once Lawilia decides to end their attacks on our friend, we will end our attacks on them."
Ivan rubbed his chin, "what if Lawilia doesn't stop their attack?"
Yoshiken adjusted his chair, "then we do not stop. Come Ivan, dine with me, for I can bet that you hunger."
Ivan turned towards the door, "that is okay, I have some business to attend to."
Ivan walked out the door towards the main hall, while Yoshiken continued to feast.

"Sir!" Came a rather loud Jad, bursting through the doors he had just a few minutes ago left. "Region 6 is ours, and we are gaining an income. As you may know, Come is still under a siege, except word shows they have aquired reinforcements."
"What the heck are they doing... Come is going to last 9 more days, and he's wasting his time and money buying troops to take me over? He knows my kingdom is... lightly equipped. I am more tightly bothered over how he has more income than I, but I cannot blame him. He wants to conquer too, and knows putting another enemy out of the game would ruin him. But... if all else fails, there is a back up plan."
"What is that Sir?"
"Just call me Teo. Look, we just took over Region 6, but it is surrounded by two most likely hostile, ready to be reinforced regions that I cannot take in one move. There is a slight dilema which puts Enrique at a disadvantage."
"Hmm?"
"Well, if he takes over Come, region 6 will fall along with it, and Lazo will take over. Enrique's effort to control my capital which will take well above a week, will result in the same gain as region 3 simply walking into 6. But there is a second and third option."
"Continue."
"I could favor each one of the sides. If I favor Lazo, he gains two regions, and will have Enrique pinned on two sides. He will be able to barricade himself in and provide food to the regions, but Lazoshi will only need to siege those regions to control Enrique, similar to what he's doing to me. OR... or... I could act in Enrique's favor and simply hand him both regions, he will be able to spread... but help the one attacking my capital while I was absent? I'll never completely forgive him... but... Get me a messenger, I need to communicate to Enrique."

Yoshee's first reaction to the proposal she held in her hand was suspicion. Her neighbor had hardly kept his word in the first place, but there was nothing left that she could do. Her people would begin to starve soon from the lack of income, and then her armed forces would collapse from hunger.
Mercury stood at the ready, waiting for Yoshee to finish her reply.
"We cannot wait any longer," Bear informed the ruler. "Even if we wait one more day, the troops to the north will starve." He had been keeping a close watch on the supplies in every region, ready to take military action as soon as Yoshee gave the word. But now, they could not possibly win even if they did have money for supplies.
I don't see any other option, Yoshee frowned. She did not like making this choice at all, but it seemed it was the only way to live for now. Yoshee handed the paper to Mercury with the same frown on her face and proceeded to gaze out of the window. She could see the Neuropian troops over the high city wall.

The nearly halted efforts at Come's capital due to the barricading were really starting to annoy Palikir Dhalriyen and Enrique Rzlowieszczyk. "Teo has their defense too stiff," Dhalriyen noted.
Enrique had to give even more frustrating news to Dhalriyen. "I wouldn't attack Neuropa to the east either at this point; the defenses over there are even stiffer."
A pause was in the air. Dhalriyen finally spoke. "I guess we'll have to wait this one out and see what happens."

Chapter 6 abstract:
Neuropa’s victory over the nation of Saphoria was not one made on the battlefield, but one through keen and careful use of words and ideas. The exact notes delivered between the nation’s two leaders are not known for sure; each knew what was at stake. As the situation became increasingly dire, there seemed little choice but to relent to Neuropa’s demands.
It remained to be seen, however, if Neroupa would abide by the terms it set down for occupation. The deal set for transition of sovereignty were set light, putting Neruopa in a position it bitterly despised: Having little knowledge or influence in affairs that directly affected its security; most of the contracts for reconstruction being sent to Saphorian businesses. Nevertheless, the leaders of Neuropa considered it an important asset all the same, as they turned their attentions elsewhere in their journey to liberate the world from Income Taxes.

Jonus stumbled through the streets of the occupied capital of Saphoria, searching for the capital building to meet with whoever is in charge, muttering to himself as he glanced from a hastily drawn made map of the capital to his surroundings, desperatly trying to find any sense of familiarity or direction in the oddly formed addresses across the city.
"one... three... seven... G? Is that a G? Hey! Hey! Everybody! I got a G!" His shouts reached no one in particular, those surrounding him merely glancing in his direction. "Fine be that way. I'll just go to the biggest building and work my way from there."
