~Dawn of Darkness RP~

I sank the tip of the ore into the water. "I'm ready." Then Hitchargo came into my mind. "What are we going to do about Hitchargo?" I asked, starting to paddle.

[red.yoshi]

Red kicked off and paddled himself. "He may have gone this way, or taking this route may lead us to him. I don't know if we have another option right now. . ."

They entered the cave at the far end of the room, and took a quick bend. It seemed to slope downwards. It was much too dark to see, but the boat began to move by itself. Red lifted his oars, preparing to just wait. The boat began to move faster, and started to lash up onto red's back. He felt Liko's hand on his. She huddled up at his feet, and red put his arms around her. "Hang on tight, let's not loose anyone!" shouted red over the dark rapids.

I felt the water clash onto my face. It was like being on one of those water rides in amusement parks. I grasped my hands onto the side of the boat when I felt my body rising into the air. Poochy's wet tounge splashed onto my mask. The boat was gaining incredible speed. I let go when the boat hit a straight current with a loud "SPLASH!".

I sighed in relief as the boat cruised along the barley visible river. I seemed to have gotten darker when we went down. I heared a heavy water sound a few yards away. This relaxed cruise seemed to have been temporary, as we got pulled down by the strong, falling water.

"Guys..I think we're going to be sucked under the ocean!" Shouted red over the next approaching rapids. He wouldn't let go of shivering Liko. The boat approached closer and so slowly red thought he was going to be sick. Just then, the boat and its passengers lunged downward into the current, the boat broke in pieces.

It was cool. Everywhere was cool. Am I floating. . .? wondered red to himself. Just then, red felt a cushion behind his back and a mist of sand surrounded him. He opened his eyes. It was so dark. He began to wave his arms. He floated. The current pulled against his tugs, making his arms move slower. He tried to say something. A mouthful of bubbles erupted and began their long, lazy journey up to the surface. I'm. . .I'm under water. . . thought red. He kicked off the ground, and began swimming. For some reason he could breathe. What had happened to him and the group while he was unconscious? The group! Red had to search for them. He began swimming, noticing in the distance a large underwater metropolis. I suppose we could check that out after I find the others. Could Hitchargo be nearby?

When I opened my eyes, I saw blue all around me. I tried to talk aloud, but my mouth flooded with water. We sunk! I thought. I glanced around, looking for everyone else. The water was freezing me. I kept imagining that I were in glacier water. I spotted Liko near a huge rock. I called for her, but my mouth filled up with ice cold water again. I went over and shook her to wake up. Now I just need to find Buu and Red.

Liko opened her eyes. She opened her mouth also. "Shy!. . ." she managed to choke out before bubbles erupted from her mouth. She realized she didn't have to breathe though. She began looking around her, taking in everything with a little less of a shock.

Red continued to swim. He was just about to turn the bend of a large boulder when he saw two shadows coming. He quickly hid behind the nearest rock, and listened closely as they spoke to each other. It sounded like muffled yells rather than speaking.

Red stared shocked as the two shadows turned the corner. They were two Koopas. Each held staffs. On the tip of each staff was an orb which was sparking with excited electricity. It also appeared that the Koopas had evolved gills and a flipper. Red drew his sword silently, and kept his sword arm steady while he waited for them to pass in case he was noticed. I don't know how I would survive a shock from one of those staffs in this deep of water. . . he thought to himself.

Liko and I kept swimming until we got to a seaweed covered floor to rest. I looked striaght up to see how far it would take to get out of the water. I looked around once again and saw something red poking out from behind a rock. I think Liko saw it also. We swam over there, and the closer we got, it looked like a shell. Finally, we swam around the rock to see it was a koopa with the features of a fish. He had a trident with electricity sparking out of it. I pulled out my bow, and the arrows I had got from the trap we pulled, but it was only dust. This is bad! I thought.

Elsewhere: Buu woke up from the boat wreck. Luckily, because she was so light, she was floating on top of the water. She found a peice of wood from the boat, and hung on to it. "Shyguy?! Liko!? Red?!" she called. No anwser. "They're not here." A voice whispered behind Buu. "They're in another realm." Buu turned around and stammered, "Wh-who are yo-you?" Then, the mysterious person grabbed Buu, and took her away.

(Yes, I changed to third person for Buu. )

(That's fine. I find it difficult writing in first person myself ^~^.)

Just as the Koopa's left, and Red was about to sheath his sword, he noticed it started crumbing. Ahh, the water pressure down here! He sheathewd the hilt, and decided to follow the path the Koopas were taking, which seemed to be toward the underwater metropolis.

Red noticed that the water began to get murky and dark as he neared the city. The darkness felt so familiar. Could another jewel be nearby? From a distance, he thought he saw two familiar faces. Liko and Shy Guy! This snapped him out of his thoughts about finding the jewel. He began swimming directly towards then until he realized they were in danger. This realization stopped him in his tracks.

Red swiftly swam behind the rock, behind the Koopa. He didn't have much confidence in himself. He lifted a small, sharper rock, about the size of his palm. I'm sorry you have to see this, Liko. He swam behind the Koopa, and grabbed his neck. The element of surprise was on Red's side, but only for a split second. He slit the Koopa's neck with the rock. It began to bobble lazily as plumes of blood floated slowly up. The Koopa waved his triton in self defense, thrashing blindly in all directions. Red dodged it, and wrapped his arms around Liko and Shy Guy, pulling them away from the range of the thrashes. Just then, it dawned on him. Why would these Koopas be guarding so close to this dark city with lightning lances and tritons?

The guard was chasing after us. He seemed to be half knocked out by the way he was moving. Like about an hour ago, the crystal started glowing under my cloak. "Hey Red, there might be another jewel around here!"

[red.yoshi]

Red nodded. "I thought of the same thing. Have you two seen Buu yet?" He swam fast with Liko and Shy Guy towards the city whilst looking for a good hiding spot.

I shook my head. "Nope, I hope she's oka-Hey, we can talk now!" I spotted a bunch of rocks piled together. "We should hide out there."

Red led Liko and Shy Guy to the rocks. "Okay, time to gather our thoughts." "Could Hitchargo be possibly nearby?" questioned Liko. Red scratched his nose. "I suppose its a possibility. But I don't think its very likely." Then red changed the subject. "This darkness is similar to the one above the ocean, and Shy Guy's jewel started to glow, so there may be one nearby. We don't stand a chance against those lightning weapons though. . ." sighed red. "The fire ball is also useless down here." Liko nodded. "I wonder if we could find ourselves pairs of rubber clothing we could wear? Those would sure be useful!"

"Hey, Poochy had a rubber collar..." I said. "But we lost him in the boat wreck." Buu added. I sighed. I picked up on of the rocks. "These guards seem to be really tough." I stated. "Red, you nailed him right in the head and he was acting like a mosquito bit him. Maybe we would have a chance if we could get those weapons away from them." Buu shook her head. "I doubt we could do that. If Red and Liko extended their tounges to take them away, it will most likley shock them. If I turned invisible for a while, I couldn't be able to grab anything. And you ShyGuy... you're pretty worthless."

Red took out what was left of his hilt. "Some new weapons would be useful. . ." He thumped it against the rock, and left it on the ground. "Maybe we should check out the city." Liko added hopefully. She pointed to the dark under water metropolis. "There's sure to be something useful there-" "But how on earth are we going to get in there?" interrupted red. "There's gotta be guards everywhere with those lightning poles!" Then red looked at Buu. "Although. . . I can still turn invisible. Maybe Buu and I can check it out. I'm a little scared to stay invisible so long, especially underwater. Last time while ShyGuy and I were in the castle, weakness overcame me after awhile of being cloaked. . ."

"When I turn invisible I have to hold my breath. So I can't stay too long or I'll pass out. I'm guessing if we do this, we have to do it fast." Buu said. I heard talking from the other side of the rock. I couldn't make out all the words, but I heard, "...so go find them now!" I gulped. "You guys better do this quick." Buu started floating fast pulling Red along. "When we see the front gate, then we turn invisible."

I turned to Liko. "We should try to find another way in."

(Oh I forgot to add it in my post that Buu met up with us. I thought I added it.)

(Its okay, I figured it out =).)

Liko nodded. "Let's circle the city and see if we can find a back entrance" she said in a hushed whisper as there were voices nearby.

Red started swimming fast, trying to keep up with Buu. She's so much faster because she's so light. . he thought to himself. He kicked is legs faster, eagerly to reach the gate of the city. The two slowly approached the metropolis. "Keep an eye out of Koopa guards, Buu."

Buu saw the front gate approaching. There was a lot more guards she was excepting. "Yeah, they're hiding something..." Buu said lowly. She didn't even bother slowing down, Buu just turned invisible right away and kept on running.

I tip-toed away from the rock and looked around the other side. One of the koopa guards were still there. "I think we'll have to try and take him out. Got a weapon that won't crush down here?" I asked Liko.

Red quickly followed Buu's lead. He turned invisible, and tried to pick up the pace. He hoped that this would work. . .

Liko picked up red's old hilt, and turned it gingerly in her fingers. It still had a sliver of blade protruding out by luck. "Will this work?" she asked, stepping close and holding the makeshift dagger to Shy Guy.

Buu kept floating towards the gate, but slower this time. She didn't want to crash into any guards. She looked back and wondered if Red was still following. It seemed weird not to see anybody. She arrived two feet in front of the guards. Buu was started to feel dizzy, she had to breath now. Buu carefully made her way in between the guards and went a few more feet until. "ACHOO!" she sneezed. "Blush you." one guard said to the other. "I didn't sneeze. I thought you did." The other one said. They turned around to see Buu waving at them. "RED, GRAB THEIR WEAPONS!" she yelled.

I took the blade. "I hope so. I'm going to keep him occupied, and then you take that spear. Then we can double team him." I side stepped out of the rock, then dashed toward the guard. He turned around right when I leaped onto his face. I started rapidly stabbing him on the top of the head. The guard went crazy and started to swing his weapon everywhere.

Red quickly appeared from behind a guard and slipped the spear from his hand. "I'll be taking this" grinned red as he smacked the flat side of the pole against his head. As the other guard turned to look red shifted his spear quickly to hit him in the chest, knocking the breath out of him. He sent sparks flying as he began jabbing the Koopa with the pointed end. "They're immune to the electricity somehow!" He tried to grab for its Triton.

Liko quickly grabbed the spear, and spun it with finesse. She smiled, already knowing how to handle a weapon of such length from her times back at home.
