The trident-less guard turned for Buu. He cuffed-up his fist and made a jab at Buu in the cheek. She got mad and dodged the next swing and hit him in the gut. While he was stuned, she quickly made her way to the other guard, who was turned around, and tried to slip his trident out of his hands. But he had a tight grip on the handle that she couldn't budge it.

I held the dagger like a sword. I was ready to beat some shell. I turned to Liko to see if she was ready.

Red dodged a punch from the Koopa. He couldn't move his trident from Boo's heavy grasp. Red quickly grabbed the Koopa's fist and spun him to the ground, his fingers releasing the pole. "Don't look" he mumbled through gritted teeth as he severed the Koopa's head. He then began looking suspiciously at the knocked out Koopas, wondering if they were wearing something that granted an immunity to shock. . .

Liko nodded. She charged at the Koopa with the weapon hoping to cause a distraction so Shy Guy could find a soft spot on the enemy's back where he was vulnerable.

Buu picked up the headless Koopa's weapon. She got down closer to look at the shells. Maybe it were those that made them shock-resistant. She slid the shell off of him and zapped him with the trident. "Hey, the shells protected them from the electricity." Buu picked up the green shell and put it on. It was blood-stained but it would be a good addition.

I jumped onto his back, causing him to squirm and shake. I zapped him twice on the neck when he grabbed me and threw me towards the rocks. I tried to shoot a bolt out of the trident but he ducked into his shell and the bolt bounced right back, shocking me instantly. I stood there stunned while he turned around to Liko...

Red walked to the other guard, and brushed off his shell. Red slipped it off his body and examined it carefullly. "A little small. . . But its worth a try." He slipped on the shell. It caused him to slouch over because of its size. Red blushed and let out a laugh at how silly he looked. "These could also make good disguises. Lets go and see what these Koopa guards are protecting." Red began to walk, or waddle, to the path within the gates. Each residential area seemed so innocent.

Liko felt a burning rage inside of her. From the depths of her soul she shouted "Blizzard!" A block of ice erupted from the ocean floor, and engulfed the Koopa in a crystalized tomb. She fainted, and fell gracefully to the ocean ground, using too much of her power.

(Revealing Liko's specail - she knows the base of four spells which are fire, lightning, blizzard, and aero. These, like all magic, sap physical strength and energy.)

Buu followed Red. As she looked at the underwater town, she wondered if this really was a bad place. There were children koopa playing and laughing. It seemed like a Utopia. "Well, they DO seem like they're protecting something or someone but.. Now I'm starting to feel guilty about those two guards back there." Buu stopped. "It's him!" Buu shouted. Pointing towards Hitchargo who was about thirty yards away. He seemed to be mugging someone. Buu dashed over as fast as she can. "I can't believe him!"

I slowley made my way to my feet, pass the guard and to Liko. I shook her trying to wake her up. "Thanks Liko, but we have to go help Buu and Red. Liko?"

Liko muttered and opened her eyes. "Buu and Red. . ." she nodded and got up. She prepared to stagger toward the city while some of her strength returned.

"Arg! That stupid Goomba!" Red sheathed his lance behind his cloak and began charging at Hitchargo. Red failed to notice the pool of murky water that seemed to engulf the inner city, although many of the citizens did look very innocent. Before red could grab a hold of the tiny Goomba, Hitchargo vanished and red fell flat on his face. "How is he so fast. . .?"

Buu went over to help Red up. When going over to the mugged person, she stepped on something. "Sunglasses. Hitchargo's sunglasses!" Buu picked them up held them out. "This could be useful." She smiled.

I shook my head. "I don't think you should go in there in that condition. Think of all the evil things that lurk inside of there."

Red nodded, smiling as he got up, forgetting his failure. "I wonder just how precious these are to Hitchargo. . .He plotted with a grin. "Maybe we should ask around, and see why the water is murky towards the middle of the city. We could also ask if anyone has seen Hitchargo and where his whereabouts are.

Liko sighed, sending a mouthful of bubbles to the surface. She knew Shy Guy was right. "A little resting wouldn't hurt I suppose. . . I wonder how Buu and red are right now though." She looked around, craving to do something useful to make up the time lost.

Buu nodded. She started with the first house on the right. She didn't bother ringing the doorbell, she just barged in. After asking the questions a while later, she came back outside. "You won't believe this, Red..." Buu whispered, very shocked. "Hitchargo.... rules this place. A-all of it." Buu looked up at Red. "That means... we're in his world."

Shyguy helped Liko over to a spot covered in soft seaweed. "I'm sure they're fine." I said. But I really was worried about them. They weren't in there for long, but I felt as if I knew they were de- No, don't say it. I thought. Of course they're okay, Buu and Red are probably the toughest in our group. I decided to interrupt my thoughts with a conversation. "So, you can create ice, huh?"

[red.yoshi]

Red's mouth dropped ten feet. "A-all of it. .?" He was speechless. A thousand things began running through his mind. He began to feel watched. He also felt like everyone was a Hitchargo, and kept checking behind him to make sure the thief wouldn't mug him from behind. A few things stood potent in his mind: Where is Hitchargo now. . ? Are Shyguy and Liko alright. . ? Could Hitchargo possibly have one of the jewels, and if so which one. . ? Could it possibly be the jewel of darkness? It would make sense. We're thousands and thousands of leagues under the ocean, where is there a better place for such a treasure? Red wouldn't be able to use Lumiere in battle anyway, she couldn't take the water. That wasn't of concern right now however.

Liko nodded. "I know how to tap into the energies of the elements to use their powers for protection and offensive measures." She waited for a moment. "Ever since I was a little girl, I felt very close with nature. I would always be fascinated with each element. Fire, water, earth, and air always felt home to me." She laughed. "Fire wouldn't do much use down here." She started getting up, still feeling a little weak.

Buu looked down to the floor. She had something on her mind that she didn't want to tell Red. It might make him worry more, she thought. Buu looked up into the sky. "We have to get out of here." She whispered not knowing if Red heard or not. "You have no idea what Hitchargo is capable of." She turned towards the gate and floated fast towards it. She couldn't even make out the houses she pasted. "What are you doing?!" Buu heard a voice. She stopped and looked around. "You're going to run away like this? Remember what he did to us?" The voice yelled. Buu recognized it. It was her grandfather. She tried to shake it out, but it sounded so real. "YOU'RE GOING TO RUN FROM SOMEONE YOU PROMISED TO DESTROY?" The voice boomed. Buu started to get angry. "Get out of my head!" She fell to the floor. It was silent for a while then she realized he was right. Before they died, Buu thought, I promised to avenge them. I can't run now, I've finally found Hitchargo. I have to take the risk. Buu stood up, gasping heavily. "I can do this!" She whispered to herself.

I looked over to Liko. "Are you sure you're ready to go in? It could be fierce."

Red quickly ran over to Buu. "Are you okay?" He asked as he helped her up. "As though as this could be, I'm sure we can do this with team work." Red hid the glasses under his cloak, afraid to be seen with them. "I think our next destination should be the heart of the city. If Hitchargo owns this place, that's probably where he would be."

"We need to help them!" said Liko with determination. "We need to find them. Maybe the front gate isn't the best idea? Perhaps there is another entrance since security will most likely be heavy if Buu and red knocked out the guards. . ."

Buu nodded. "It might be one of those big buildings over there." Buu pointed. "We should try to reach there as fast as we could because Hitchargo already knows we're here." Buu was just about to dash off, when she heard yelling. She looked to the front gate to see five guards going to help the other two... or one that is. Buu gulped. "We gotta go now." She ran towards the buildings. They seemed about two miles away but she thought they could make it before any guards find them.

"You're right." I responded. I helped Liko all the way up. "But judging by how bad you're feeling, using another spell might even injure you. So I guess we'll have to do it the old fashion way." I started making my way around the oval shaped utopia, staying about 90 yards away from the actual wall.

Red made the fastest motions possible. He darted, almost keeping up with the light, fluent motions of Buu. As they reached the building, red leaned his back up against the side. He panted. "I guess we should search it. If its not the right place, we move on."

Liko followed close in step. She was ready, prepared for the worse, focusing her mind on the powerful magics she could use.

Buu arrived at the building and ducked low. She tiptoed across the wall to see about six guards by the entrance. Buu quickly flew back to avoid getting noticed. She leaned over to Red. "Just imagine all the guards waiting inside there. We will probably have go through a window somehow." She stood up and tried a tinted window. It didn't budge. They couldn't be able to break it without alerting the guards. She sat on the ground watching Red to see if he had an idea.

I decided to get closer. I couldn't really see from that far. I noticed a dark shadow crawl over me. I turned around to see it leap onto me. I stopped screaming when the creature starting licking my face. "Wait a minute." I opened my eyes and saw it was Poochy. I got up and dusted off my clothes to hide the fact I was embarrassed. "Well it looks like you found us, Poochy."

Red thought quickly. He felt the side of the building, which appeared to be brick. Pieces of the mortar were breaking away. Without questioning Buu, he started to climb it. He was almost invisible against the building since his dark cloak's tone matched so well against the dark tone of the aged brick.

"Poochy!" exclaimed Liko, almost a little too loud. She bent over the dog and scratched behind its ears. "Do you know an alternative way we could go, boy? Can you help us past those mean guards?"

"Wait for me!" Buu yelled quietly. She started to climb up as fast as she could to catch up. Buu didn't dare to look down. She's seen movies and knows what happens. She avoided the windows in case there were guards or workers of Hitchargo inside.

Poochy's tongue jiggled as he turned around to face the area. He put his invisible nose to the ground and started to sniff. I waited a while, wondering what he was doing. After a while he started digging into the ground as if he was searching for something. In no time, he pulled out a bone from some dead creature. I sighed.

Red stopped silently next to a window, and tried to peak inside. Unfortunately it was heavily tinted and he couldn't see much more than his reflection. He pulled back quickly than he had peeked in case he was being watched. He motioned to Buu with small head movements, asking something to the effect if she could see or float through the window to see if it was safe to get inside.

Liko sighed too. Then she had an idea. "Maybe we could dig under the city, and pop up somewhere inside!" She thought for a few moments, and punched her fist into a mound of sand. It was rough, and a bit course, unlike the silky smooth sand she played with and made sand castles with when she visited the shoreline. It burned her hand as she pulled it out, and she bit her lip. "Do you think Poochy could dig through this stuff?" she asked Shy Guy.

Buu nodded and held her breath. She changed positions so she was in front of a window. Buu stuck her face through to see if it was safe. Apparently, it was a storage room, judging by all the boxes, it's filthiness, and lack of light. She waved her hand behind her to tell Red it was safe. Once inside, Buu was about to break it open when she noticed the latch. After unlocking it, she searched for the light switch. It was too dark to see anything.

I stomped my foot on the ground. I wasn't sure if Poochy could did that far and we still didn't know how far down the town walls were in the ground. I thought it couldn't hurt to try. "So, how do we get him to do anything?" I asked, looking at Poochy. His face looked happy and lost as if he couldn't see anything that was going on.

Red slid inside the window, and alighted to the ground inside with a roll, trying to find a light switch. He reached up and felt a string. Red gave the string a yank, but boxes came tumbling down on top of him."Mmph." he mumbled as he cleared them away, and started groping the wall for the switch. Finally, his hand brushed something rough, and he flicked it. A tiny ray of light came from a single bulb fixed at the top center of the room. It was filled with boxes with all kinds of different merchandise, food, and useful utilities. "Ach. . ." mumbled red as he shifted through some of the boxes. "I was hoping there would be some magic scrolls here, but I guess there are none. They wouldn't keep them in a storage room like this." Red began searching boxes for anything useful before they continued exploring the building.

Liko thought for a moment to herself, then looked around for the bone that Poochy was teething on earlier. She held it in her hands. "Maybe if we toss the bone over the city wall, and Poochy sees no way to get inside, he'll ding under to try and get it." She looked at the city gates and realized that it would involve walking around to the opposite side of the city. She wasn't sure if they had that much time to kill.
