I was already halfway to the mainland. I knew that Schizo might have a few answers for me. Schizo was a magikoopa friend of mine. When I finally made it to the mainland, I spotted Schizo right away. I jumped out of the boat and ran over to him. "Schizo! Something very unusual has happened!" I called out worriedly. "I know." he replied, turning around. It was then that I noticed that something was wrong. His eyes were red. "No! You're already under Bowser's control!" I said with a worried tone. Schizo only laughed evilly in reply.

The craft slowly crept away from the sinking isle. "I wonder what kind of sea-dwelling monsters we might meet along the way?" red questioned himself out loud. He ate a few cherries, and offered them around.

Right away, I leapt away. Just in time too, for he had made a swipe at me with his wand. I knew that he knew a couple Fire spells as well as healing spells, but as to how powerful he was, I wasn't sure, so, I analyzed him. Hmm. I figured that I could take him on. I also knew I wouldn't be able to snap him out of it. The only choice was to fight him, so, I prepared to do just that.

I had been staring at the strange fish until Red offered us cherries. "I just had breakfast," I told him in reply. It was the truth, although that wasn't the reason why I wasn't hungry. Staring at the odd sealife had caused me to lose my appetite. I was rather surprised that Mecha had left us in his wake like that. I wiped some sea spray off my eyes and pondered that for a little while.

"It sure is...strange around here." Red spoke after a few minutes, spotting creatures which looked like octopus with sharp spikes instead of suckers, and seaweed which seemed aggressive. After about an hour at the ocean, the island had either faded away, or sunk. The gloom had faded. "I guess bowser's darkness hasn't reached here yet." He thought aloud. Red peaked his head over side of the makeshift boat. Red met one of the strange octopuses face to face, and he ducked out of the way just in time before it launched itself onto the boat, the sharp needles scratching the crude wood. Red quickly unsheathed his katana, and gave the creature a good whack in the head. It was stunned. Red turned his head to the crew. "We need to take it down and out before it wakes up again..." The creature was almost as big as red, and quite heavy. The spikes were also very sharp, and they either had to be harvested from the monster before tossing it overboard, or it would have to stay on the ship until the mainlands where the group could formulate a better plan on land to get the monster off the deck. Red swiped the wooden stick again at the beast. "I guess the sea life has seen better days..." red sighed. "Bowser must have found a way to darken the seas too, this isn't normal."

"You won't win!" I smiled knowingly as I dodged a Fire spell. "Oh, and why not??" Schizo sneered menicingly. "Because of this!" I shrieked as I ran up to him and delivered a punch with my mechanical hand. It was enough to beat him. "Agghhhh. Where am I? M-Mecha what's happening!?!" Schizo sputtered. "You were under Bowser's control." I said worriedly. "Then that poison he made me drink must have also had mind control powers." he gasped. "Huh?" I replied to that with a puzzled look. "He tricked me into drinking Night Bane. Now, look. Take my wand." he was obviously in pain now. "I'm not long for this world. Prophesy foretells that a team of at least 3 yoshis will defeat Bowser in the end. One will be red like blood, one will be able to breathe fire, and the other will be half mechanical an d half yoshi. I believe you are one of them." he said as he gasped his last breath. I wll get my revenge on Bowser. I thought to myself as I took the wand, my eyes brimming with tears.

I could see how we needed to take the thing out. It was kind of like an octopus except it had a ton of spikes. It sort of grossed me out- fish just weren't supposed to look like that. "Can't we just... stab it or something? Who's got a knife?" I asked aloud. Of course, we probably didn't want guts or whatever this thing had all over the deck...

Red thought for a moment. "Well, I could sharpen my katana. It would probably break afterwards though." Red gave a sigh, but was willing to make the sacrifice. He took and sharpened the wood against one of the creature's spikes. "A slash through the heart should do the trick.." he mumbled to himself.

I ran back to my speedboat. I had to tell Red and Yoshee about the prophesy. I also had to admit that I already missed Yoshee and I was a little bit worried about her. I just hope I could find them again. I thought to myself as once again I roared off.

Renard wouldn't wait for Red to finish sharpening that sword of his and stab the thing. He wanted it dead. Without a word, he stabbed it and flung it over board, taking a nice amount of the outer planks with it. " It doesn't matter. I can see land coming up ahead, and Mecha's boat. I don't know why he's coming back towards us, but I can see somebody lying on the shore." He somehow felt that he was about to hear something really important.

As Red mumbled about where to slash it, I had to turn away. I didn't gag or anything, but I really didn't want to have to watch something die like that. "You know, Red, we could probably find a better kind of wood for a sword on the mainland. Island trees aren't that sturdy," I told him.

Ahh! There they were! After the speedboat had sputtered to a stop, I told them about everything that had happened on the shore. "We must succeed in this quest." I said solemnly. "I don't know who the fire breather is, but I know for a fact that Red is the red yoshi mentioned." I still had a few tears in my eyes, but I wiped them away.

Red thanked Renard, and agreed with Yoshee. "You're right. Or, maybe some of the world hasn't been taken by darkness thus far, and we can find a town where we can stock up on needs and supplies to try and find where bowser is now." Then, Red saw Mecha start speeding up. After he stopped, and told him his story, red was quite shocked and was unable to say anything as they slowly crept towards the mainland.

Taken aback by the rude way Renard had gutted the thing, I gasped a little. There wasn't any time for me to yell at him, though, since Mecha was returning. I sat mostly unmoved during his speech, but I looked down a bit at the "fire-breathing" bit. I certainly felt bad for the old Koopa, but I already knew we had to win this one. We always did when this sort of thing happened. And of course I knew I could breathe fire. A little. I could get the air pretty warm when it was very cold out, at best. Maybe I wasn't the one the "prophecy" was talking about, anyways.

I noticed Yoshee looked a little bit upset. "Is anything bothering you, Yoshee?" I asked her.

Red quickly thought as the small craft neared the beaches of the mainland. The water was a bit clearer, and there were no other creatures attacking...for now. "You know," red spoke up, "the Koopa was pretty old. Could he have meant something possibly metaphorically? Literal meanings were rarely used some time ago in case the enemy was nearby and overheard a plot or valuable conversation." Red's thoughts kept racing, still weary about trusting anyone. What if none of this did happen to Mecha, and it was all just a trap or a lure to some sinister plan? What if it did happen, could the Koopa someway be lieing about the tale? Surely, there wasn't many mechanical artifacts long ago, and even today they were fairly scarce. He kept thinking, his mind swirling, not able to take everything in all at once.

I was a halfway decent liar by now. Especially when I didn't want anyone to know the truth. I turned away from Mecha as he questioned me. "No," I said bluntly. Red had made a good point. Prophecies had a way of being very vague. And even sometimes downright inaccurate. Of course, it may be worthwhile to take every bit of information we could get. I personally knew next to nothing about this strange activity- I didn't know about the others. I got the feeling Renard knew more than he was letting on, but that was probably just me being unreasonable.

I could feel she was lying, but I decided to let the matter drop, figuring that she'd tell me what it was when she was ready. "Hmm, that is possible." I mentioned to Red. "Schizo always did speak in riddles."
