its working fine, maybe theres problems with the java client? I'd suggest getting a real IRC client anyway because java sucks.

I'm having the same problem except it says "SocketException" Can you give me the full error message? Apparently it's a global thing as there are only people using mIRC or XChat connected. :/ EDIT:
Java client will not be available during this time.
EDIT: Above maintainence period was completed on time. Servers are live.

I've tried logging into the chat room, but i keep getting this: "Connecting... Unable to connect : java.net.ConnectException : Connection timed out: connect" I've tried connecting all day, but I keep getting the same message... Just tried connecting via java here and it was successful. Try visiting fractalcast-networks.anbraxas.net in your browser. If that doesn't work, then there's some problem somewhere. Works on my end though. :S

If it takes you there, you shouldn't have any problem connecting to the server. Give me an hour to do some troubleshooting and hopefully, I'll have a result, and a solution to this problem.
Edit: I've been through everything I can see and I don't see any problems at all in any of my code. Links are all right from what I can see. In the java client, try typing...
/server irc.anbraxas.net
That'll make the client try the connection again. It should work, there's absolutely no reason why it shouldn't.

When I tried a few minutes ago, the whole thing just said "The page cannot be displayed". Was your site down or something?

Indeed, at 6:13am this morning, the network dropped offline, and went back online in quick succession, however, because I have a dynamic outside IP, my IP changed, and the software which will be used to detect IP changes isn't finished yet, the domains for the network (*.pinkfloydyoshi.com and *.anbraxas.net) were not updated, and resulted in everyone not getting back on until I woke up again. As of 11:22am GMT, Firaga and Terra are online. And no Gar, Terra didn't crash, my connection to the internet just dropped, that's all. Linux Crash? Unheard of, especially on my network considering I compile all my kernels from source with my own modifications.

Ah, well, I tend to use 'crash' as a blanket term, my friend. LEVEL UP ! ! It means things went downtown. Glad to hear it wasn't anything serious, though.

Terra just suffered a power surge, and is refusing to boot up on it's own accord with memory check failures. The server will be down until I've fixed the issue. Sorry all.
[Fixed, let me know if you get any problems]

For maintainence notes, or unexpected downtimes, please check the Fractalcast Networks Wiki as it is updated first, as things happen. Latest update: All times are in GMT. March 1st: Server is now down, and will be for the next 2 hours. The wiki is also unavailable.

Is it just me, or is it not working? I'm guessing the server is down, but just saying that there could be something wrong.

Seems to work okay for me, though there was a maintenance scheduled for today. Might be a little laggy, but it's still going strong. At least, it is here.

I can connect fine on mIRC. Did you try using a different client? Or perhaps you need to flush your DNS cache? Can you be more specific about your problem? Just what about it isn't working? Can you give an error message?
